Wisconsin fans aren't gonna be too happy with the refs in the last minute. I have been saying all tourney they let trailing teams get away with too much contact

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 09:10 PM) You're the first person I thought of when I saw that. That's kind of sad ha. He's a great person and did wonders for GT's academic progress....but he was so out-classed in the ACC. He'd be a great fit for someone like Bradley.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 09:22 PM) Chris Sale has given the Angels a total of 7 runs in his career over 38+ innings. 4 of them came on one Trout swing. Hated that game

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 01:07 AM) Daniel Bryan cancels Daniel Bryan Appreciation Night at MSG just a few days away as well as all future appearances. Meltzer says there's a story behind it so looks like we'll be hearing it soon. Not sure if health or business related. Have to hope it's not some type of depression caused by CTE.

Adam LaRoche retires
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 04:37 PM) This "feud" is not being fueled by LaRoche. It's a reach that his meat company has a familyfirst promotion and it is meant as blasting the White Sox. LaRoche wrote very highly of the organization except one member. I don't think it is at all

Adam LaRoche retires
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 03:22 PM) Fanning the flames is exactly what LaRoche has been doing since his feud with Williams. No matter what you think happened, the one obvious thing is that LaRoche is still fueling this to be news, and has been the entire time. It is why certain people have been fed information to keep telling his story while LaRoche stayed behind the scenes content to snipe from his companies twitter account instead of actually handing the situation up front. This should have been over days ago, but LaRoche keeps it in the news. I think the story has pretty much disappeared over the last couple of days. I don't necessarily agree with using this situation as a way to plug his company, but he can do whatever he wants. The far bigger issue to me now is the clubhouse issues it seems to have caused.

I love this comment by Teixeira: “It was the first time he has ever gone on the field with me, and he’s 10 years old,’’ Teixeira said of a workout last week. “It won’t happen during the season. It was one time, a special workout, a stay-back workout [when] there weren’t a lot of guys here. I’ve always had the mentality, this is my job, when I’m here I’m a hundred percent. I’m not checking my phone all day long, calling people. When I’m at work, I’m at work. It’s served me well.’’ http://nypost.com/2016/03/24/mark-teixeira...=site%20buttons

Adam LaRoche retires
QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 03:20 PM) a classy guy would have said in a letter, to all his friends on the sox team, do not let his retiring affect in any way harsh feeling toward management, but to wish him and his family good tidings. now something like that would have endeared him to many. It's still the first retirement announcement I've ever seen where the player didn't thank the fans

Adam LaRoche retires
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 02:13 PM) I've read a lot, but definitely not all of this thread, so this may have been covered. But I keep seeing people mentioning Rollins and to a lesser extent Navarro and Frazier as the ones who complained to management. Is there anything actually suggesting this is true or are people just assuming because they are new to the team this year? Judging by how Eaton spurned him after the homer, it's pretty obvious either Rollins was involved or Eaton suspects he was.

QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 12:58 AM) I'm sure the players at this point have a very good idea or know who it was that complained to management. I think it's incredibly naive to expect everyone to get along in the clubhouse, but Eaton and Sale seriously need to bury this crap already. s*** happens, people get released and traded all the damn time and sometimes they could be your friends. They're acting like the Sox held a damn gun to LaRoche's head and said "sign your retirement papers." Rollins brings demeanor, experience and leadership to the Sox that the team has sorely missed since Knoerko/Thome/Vizquel - in other words, respect the damn man. He was at one time one of the best in the game, and if he has an issue in the clubhouse it's probably for good reason you sit down and shut up. This isn't like Luery Garcia went crying to KW because more teammates knew Drake on a first name basis over himself. Yep and it's why if this continues and the team struggles, they should be the first two traded along with the firing of Ventura.

QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 12:55 AM) FWIW, ever since this LaRoche thing has happened, Eaton has not hit the ball... At all. He seems to be the main issue right. Dude needs to grow up & it needs to happen quickly. There was a home run prior to the LaRoche issue where Rollins knocked in Eaton and Eaton stayed at the plate to high five him. Definitely some tension still going on, which goes along with what Will Carroll reported.

Saw a great thread on SSS about Eaton failing to give Rollins a high five after the homer yesterday. Looks like a pathetic move by Eaton. http://m.mlb.com/video/v561249483/sfcws-ro...?game_pk=469676

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 07:03 PM) Don't like the PAT rule. With all the FGs the game is already too dependent on kickers. Now we have teams losing games because of missed PATs. My rule would be that you can just have the 7th point for free--no play of any kind necessary, or you can put the ball down at the 2 yard line and go for 2. You just don't want to have coaches have the chance to go for 2 too early
