  1. Wow, bad non-call on what should have been a flagrant foul on Leonard. That gets called 99% of the time. He didn't mean to I'm sure, but the rule is any contact with elbow is a flagrant.
  2. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 28, 2011 -> 03:45 AM) Paul didn't deserve that 3. He was dribbling backwards with 6 on the shot clock and then decides 'f it' and it goes. Must be nice... He's a decent shooter when he's not fading away trying to show the scouts he can play in the NBA.
  3. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Dec 28, 2011 -> 02:24 AM) I can't stand to watch Brandon Paul play basketball anymore. He is so f***ing awful. You didn't like the layup that hit off the backboard and went almost to the FT line? Paul also could be called for carrying on every possession.
  4. The worst perimeter college basketball shooter I've ever seen is leaving Illinois. Crandall Head to transfer...he'd be better off at somewhere like UIC.
  5. Watson with some terrible minutes there, as Curry just destroyed him.
  6. Bulls look awful tonight. Not sure what Asik did during the offseason, but he looks heavier and slower.
  7. Well, that "main event" segment with Kane was as bad of a final segment as I've ever seen.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 23, 2011 -> 03:52 PM) @LoMoMarlins: Just heard from my boy that Prince to Seattle is a done deal... It was a joke

QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 23, 2011 -> 06:38 AM) I was kind of where you were after the first episode. I bailed after 3 or 4. It just didn't pull me in and had a couple dumb moments. Show be much better if they had maybe 2 or 3 storylines going on instead of 9 or 10.
  10. QUOTE (Boogua @ Dec 23, 2011 -> 05:14 AM) The illini were considerably worse when Sam was on the court. I don't take +/- that seriously usually, but I bet in this case it would be pretty spot on. Weber should have never put him back in the game. Put Henry out there if need be, but not Sam. He couldn't do anything with Pressey and they were pressuring him on the ball because he's not quick enough to get around them. I love the intangibles that Sam brings to the game, but he was embarrassed tonight. This isn't the MVC. Illinois' freshmen have been terrible this year. Maniscalso has bailed out Weber in a few games. No one on Illinois was playing good defense tonight.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 23, 2011 -> 04:12 AM) It wouldn't have been hard at all to get a 3 off. Missouri only had one foul to give and teams suck at executing that especially not coming out of a timeout. If Leonard had any concept of how to play help defense he blocks that shot by Pressey easily and Illinois has a chance to tie. I probably foul to extend the game but I didn't have a real issue with playing it out either. Paul played really well for 38 minutes and then fell apart at the end and that is what lost the game. Maybe it's me, but since Weber's been there, his teams have always done a great job when they apply serious pressure in the form of a turnover or foul style press.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 23, 2011 -> 04:06 AM) is Bob Knight retarded? Why not try and make a defensive stop to give you 10-11 seconds to tie and/or get down by one? Why give up one or two possible points? Cause with Mizzou still in the bonus, you hope to foul someone other than Dixon and get them to miss the front end. With Illinois not in the bonus, it would have been nearly impossible for Illinois to get a 3 pointer off to tie.
  13. Weber had to foul Mizzou there instead of letting them milk the clock.
  14. Missouri could not be playing dumber basketball over the last 5 minutes. Ratlliffe playing he has money on the Illini.
  15. Missouri reminds me of the awesome Illinois team with Deron/Dee/Head
  16. Holy cow are teams overpaying for non-Cy Young caliber pitchers
  17. I don't get why Danks would sign this if the Sox were intent on trading him. He could easily have made more money on the open market next year with a good 2012.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 10:05 PM) But if it were substantially more than that ($20 million-ish more), then I'd be stunned that the White Sox would go for it I think they'd (Sox) be interested in 5/74, to be honest
  19. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 10:02 PM) I won't believe this until Rosenthal, Heyman or a Sox beat writer reports it as well.. kona has a better record than any of them. Also, no way is it 5/54, as kona said it was a BIG extension.
  20. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 09:38 PM) Eh I guess you're right, not sure whats more insulting, low ball or not present one at all. My opinion tho. Low ball, no doubt about it. No offer doesn't show how much you feel the player is worth.
  21. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 09:31 PM) That's a coup and it also makes me think, if true, that KW was underwhelmed with offers. Yep, I think Gio and Latos destroyed some of KW's plans this offseason. I do doubt 5/54 is true, as that seems significantly less than what Danks would get.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 08:26 PM) That would be a pretty decent contract, all things considered. Decent? If true, that's a phenomenal deal for the Sox.
  23. I don't mind it at all. There's still moves to be made, including trading Quentin and likely Floyd now. If kona says it, it's true.
