7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
Nice play by Putz...he's locked in. Maybe he can go another batter or two, and let Thornton try and close it out?

Hawk complaining about the weather FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS!

So I found a way to improve our offense...trade for Nix and Betemit. That would be a great DH platoon.

Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
With regards to Peavy, I don't want him to return until he's 100%. Last thing we need is him trying to protect his back/side and shoulder, and then change his mechanics more.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:41 AM) You are going to really hate it when I suspend your ass on Thursday at 8pm central. Won't the internet just shut down?

What was the other call that Cooper blew?

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
Safe, not even f***ing close. Eric Cooper is a brutal umpire...one of the most hated umpires to ever go through the minor leagues.

Wow, sick play by the Angels. That would have been a great start to the inning.

Ugh, Pena still in the game. With Abreu leading off, absolutely no excuse for him to still be in. You can't ask for more from him.

About 80 pitches from Weaver so far...he'll probably get 7 innings.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:26 AM) It was the slowest 3 innings Ive ever watched and we're lucky he only gave up 1 run. Its just so frustrating because he's got such good stuff but has the Javy Vazquez syndrome where he has no balls and tries to be perfect instead of just f***ing pitching. Difference is Javy gets a lot of swings and misses. Pena doesn't seem to.

Pena got the DP ball when he needed. For throwing as many balls as he did, I'll take one run in 3 innings. Time to go to the good part of our pen.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:23 AM) Almost forgot, what the hell happened to the White Marketing/Advertising team this year? These Black and White ads they have f***ing blow... who thought those ads were any good in the first place??? If Derek Jeter was traded to the Sox, would they put his picture on the screen and say "It's black and white"?

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:22 AM) Not saying that I did freak out, because I didn't but I can understand why people would. It looked really bad and this is a pitcher with poor mechanics (inverted W) and 2 elbow strains in his history as well as fluid in his shoulder which has caused him to skip side sessions. Hard not to think the worst. As I said to shack, I don't care it was a Sox pitcher on the mound, I would have thought that any particular pitcher had just blown their elbow out with the way he reacted.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 04:20 AM) Are you seriously a doctor? I'm not, but I would prescribe you some kind of sedative... Kidding Fath, you know you're one of my favs... My dad is, so I asked him about that injury.

Does Andruw Jones even make solid contact during batting practice? We haven't seen him hit a ball hard in months, it seems.
