QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 04:46 AM) C'mon. The man isn't an idiot. He knows that. You sure of that? Those are the names being thrown around.

Hawk trying to become Pierre's agent tonight? You'd think Pierre hit 3 of the hardest balls in baseball history.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 04:43 AM) You gotta admit. Sweaty Freddy is a pretty good No. 5 starter. He'll give up 2-4 runs through 6 or 7 innings. Not bad at all. Should Rios have had that triple? I only saw it briefly. Would have been a great play. He seemed to stumble a little about as he went for the dive, and might have messed up his vision.

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 04:41 AM) fathom, KW knows he can't dump those guys without a significant return. That would totally screw this team going forward. Then again, if Flowers, Hudson and Sale are bad -- we are screwed anyway. Yes, but what KW considers a significant return might be different than what we would (ie: 3 months of Adam Dunn is not a sig return)

I really hope that if the Sox do trade guys like Hudson and Flowers, it's for someone that will be around next season. I'd hate to put all our eggs into this season, as it's hard to win with so many underachieving players.

Last year, that's a home run for Beckham. This year, he just can't get his hands in quick enough. Greg Walker, please fix him!

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 03:34 AM) Hey fathom, enjoy the last 3 innings of the Cubs game today? It's frightening to think we don't even have the worst offense in our own city. Yes, that was insane. Some great patience by the Reds hitters. I don't know why the Cubs won't fire Piniella. He obviously doesn't want to be there.

Special AB by Kotsay, as he didn't swing once. But hey, he hit a deep fly ball that got caught last game!

How soon until the next storm? It would suck to get past the 5th and not be able to complete this game.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 04:28 AM) That hurts, I thought Alex was going to get to it. Pitch needed to be lower and further away, just a mistake. If you're going to be throwing 75 mph pitches to every hitter, you better be playing them to pull.

Ugh, Rios almost caught that. Blame that on the 2005 boys, as PK's terrible defense and Garcia seemingly pitching around Kinsler. The Rangers are like playing an NL team, just the exact opposite. Thanks for not pursuing Guerrero KW!

101, IRC, they made the infield a little slower in Texas this season. KC's was like playing on concrete though.

Well, PK just cost us a likely run with his defense. Get your body in front of that!

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 04:18 AM) Q was just a little bit off on a couple of meatballs that at bat. He's opening up too early the last few games, which has made it harder for him to drive it up the middle. Hopefully it doesn't take long for him to get back to mashing.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 04:14 AM) We'll take it. We're going to need some power and big innings this weekend in that ballpark though. Ha, I was just thinking the same thing. Need some big innings!

Pierre generated that entire run himself. Good job Juan!

Ugh, no bat speed for Vizquel. Lewis is a great pitcher to have Viciedo face!
-
GT - 7/2/10 - Sox in Arlington 7:05 CT
Pierre safe after the bad throw by Molina. Vizquel has been surprisingly awful executing the hit-and-run this season.
-
GT - 7/2/10 - Sox in Arlington 7:05 CT
2-2 for Pierre so far. How about a hit-and-run here?

shack, this is a nice change of pace from the NBA stuff (especially with no agreements to analyze). Garcia survives another inning!
