Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
QUOTE (Wanne @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 01:52 AM) Geez-us...how many line drive outs has that been?..... CQ in the first, Crede and Swisher in the 4th, Wise in the 5th, AJP in the 6th, and Ramirez in the 7th.

Awful game for the bottom of our order. Shame on the Sox for starting Uribe tonight though against this stuff.
-
Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
Hopefully Swisher does something positive. Ramirez and Uribe have little chance with Duke, so maybe we can get Ramirez in a situation where he can bunt.

QUOTE (Wanne @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 01:43 AM) Shocker! Does anybody else get the feeling that Joe uses too heavy a bat and doesn't have the control with it like he should. His swing is just atrocious...almost like he has to muster all this momentum to get the head going....... I get the feeling his back condition is more serious than they're letting on. Since he's returned from the injury, he's had absolutely no bat speed.

QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 02:41 AM) Nothing, how solid is Oakland's bullpen? I give Duscherer one more inning. Andrew Brown will likely be their 8th inning man tonight, and he's been spectacular this season. Brad Ziegler has been the best reliever in baseball this season.

Terrible...his swing is so f***ing long. I might punch the next person who says he should make the all-star game.

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 01:38 AM) Crede is due for a bloop Seriously, look to left, flare to right.

Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
Do something clutch Crede. A double would work just fine.

The Sox have hit some absolute rockets tonight, and have little to show for it. The A's have hit one ball hard all night, and lead.

Uribe Starts at Short
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 01:29 AM) I think they have moved Alexie to short late in the gam a few times. you'd think he'd be given time. But they left him at 2B and have Uribe at SS. Showcasing, clearly

Damn, nothing going right since the first inning.
-
Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
I can't believe we actually decided to play Uribe against a guy with some of the best offspeed stuff in all of baseball.

Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
Are you kidding me Javy? What a terrible 1-2 pitch. I'm so f***ing sick of him getting burned on that fastball that tails right over the plate.

QUOTE (shawnhillegas @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 02:10 AM) Not for lack of solid contact at least. I know, I know. I'm shocked by the lack of power Crede has to dead center these days. That's 2 this week I thought were gone, and they weren't really close.
-
Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
And what a shocker, we can't get the runner in from 2nd with no outs.
-
Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
Ouch, I thought that was gone.
-
Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
Javy's hanging a lot of those sliders again. He just got very lucky it's not 4-2 A's. Our offense has to get it going again, and stay on these slow pitches from Duke.

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 01:47 AM) f*** you Javy. The team I'm up against this week in fantasy has you on the roster. Well that should make you happy.
-
Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
Wow, Javy completely crapped the bed after getting 2 outs. Way to let their power guy beat you.

Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
Vazquez has to keep Cust in the park right here. He's really the only home run threat they have.

QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 12:36 AM) No way. This is the type of pitcher where Uribe ends his swing on his knees. Uribe's at his best against sinker ball pitchers.

Great catch by Dye....get him some oxygen.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 01:25 AM) Is Gameday right and Duchshererererer's fastball is only coming in at 85-86? I saw nothing faster than 84 mph.
-
Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
AJP looks like he almost slid off the base. I thought CQ might have had that.
-
Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
Wise!!! It's been a long time since we had a leadoff homer, I think it might have been Pablo.
