White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 03:06 AM) It's nice to see a White Sox player that can get down the line. Yep, it's the main thing with Owens that has impressed me (ok, the only thing). It's also nice to see a speed guy run all the way thru the base.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 03:06 AM) Kenny better resist that urge to add talent to this team if we are 10 or more out. No kidding....I'm not going to try and convince anyone else to follow my thinking, but this is a .500 team that has no chance to make the playoffs. These guys just have slow legs and bats. There's also way too many medicore hitters in our lineup every day.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 03:00 AM) So thats the slider thats near the top of the scouts scale? Is it graded on a curve because its a sox minor leaguer. It's weird, because to me, it looks like a terrible slider. Are we sure it's not a 10 on the 80 scale, and not a 70?

Wouldn't tonight have been a good night to get Prinz some game action? KW should be absolutely ashamed of this bullpen.

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 02:48 AM) My god, how did Juan actually hit in the 2004 season? Don't question how anyone hit prior to the 2006 season.

Uribe has been horrific since the first few weeks of the season.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
Who's this pitcher we called up who's leading off?
-
White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
All I know is the Brewers better hold on to their lead.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
Is this going to be about our 5th game in the last few weeks that went from close in the 5th inning to a blowout by the 7th?

You guys think Hawk is bad, all I've heard from Farmer the last few weeks is: "once these guys start hitting, they might not stop"

Crede Out Again, Possible DL Trip (per Score)
QUOTE(quickman @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:59 AM) and if he sucks, then what. then we realize that unless we have a 125 million dollar payroll the next few years, our team isn't going to be very good.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:57 AM) Your way too smart to say the bolded, Fathom. Why....this is a fantastic lineup the Yankees have, especially against someone who they can wait on and get good pitches to hit every at-bat.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:54 AM) So, when will Sox fans just give credit to the offense instead of s***ting on their pitcher and questioning every one of the manager's moves? That inning would have still been bad, but there's no excuse for Cintron not to be playing closer due to his lack of arm strength. Of course, he shouldn't even be out there.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:53 AM) Any gems by Hawk tonight? Oh ya....said that we're as patient as the Yankees at the plate.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:52 AM) He's given up 5 runs in 5 and a third innings against a tied for last place team, including 4 in this inning. I can't go and find that impressive. It's not impressive....but the 2006 Buehrle you're trying to talk about would have given up 3 homers in the first 3 innings and everyone would have been complaining about his velocity. I don't care what their record is....this is the best lineup we face.

Impressive display of range this inning. You can always count on that from the right side of our infield.

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:49 AM) So you really want Mackowiak over there? Actually, it might be better to play Uribe at 3B and Cintron at SS, as far as I'm concerned. Yep, Mackowiak played a lot of 3b for Pitt. I've never understood why we don't use him more in the infield....it gives him a lot more value as a utility stud than making him a CF.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
BTW...will someone please explain to me why we pitched to the best hitter in the AL with an open base?

White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:45 AM) What part of that do you not agree with? Those were as fast a 3 hits as I've seen all year. The 2006 Buehrle gave up homer after homer. Believe it or not, this Yankees lineup is damn good. Buehrle didn't have much tonight, and if it wasn't for those double plays, we would have been out of the game early on.

QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:46 AM) AC is the 3rd option behind Crede, and Ozuna, its not like Ozzie wants to play him!!! He should never be playing 3b due to his arm. Put Mackowiak at 3b, and let Terrero play LF. That gives you a better team offensively and defensively.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
I'm still at a loss for words how you don't have Cintron playing closer. Everyone knows Jeter is a great bunter, and when you add in the fact that Cintron has no arm (and Jeter knows that), you have to take away the chance of a bunt hit.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:44 AM) This is 2006 Buehrle right here. A collapse so fast you can't keep up with it on your scorecard. Another run here and we should be done. Just stop
-
White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
Well....this was sadly predictable.
-
White Sox vs. Yankees, 6/5/07 (L)
How in the hell do you not know he's bunting? I don't even watch many Yankees games, and Jeter always bunts in that situation. Looks like we just got outmanaged.

And we're about to be trailing in this game.
