Ozuna fractures fibula, tears ankle ligament
No time for replacements from our minor leagues....we need a starting LF. We've waited long enough to see if Pods would heal soon....but we know how fast Barbaro heals.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/27/07 (L)
QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 27, 2007 -> 07:33 PM) Besides the franchise type players in the minor leagues everyone is iffy until they produce. A lefty with a plus curveball and a good fastball is not just an ordinary prospect. That's what I'm saying....if we can get a major league star for him as a main cog in a trade, I'd say that's a great return on the Garcia trade.

Javy needs to start making some better pitches in order to preserve this lead.

Time for Vazquez to overcome his poor 5th innings in recent games.

QUOTE(zenryan @ May 27, 2007 -> 07:27 PM) why do people still talk about getting Crawford? TB will not tade him! time to give it a rest. Actually, with Upton showing he can be a good player, they're going to be more likely to trade him now more than ever. However, I still think some team, like the Red Sox, will trade for Baldelli.

QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 27, 2007 -> 07:23 PM) I'd part with Sweeney, but not Gio. Not with the pitching in the ALC. Gio is still an iffy major league prospect. I'd lose no sleep if we used him, and his enhanced numbers, to acquire a good outfielder.

KW really can't just call up Owens and think that will replace Ozuna. We need someone who can hit against LHP for the outfield. As Tony said, stop with the minor league replacements....and find a new starter.

QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 27, 2007 -> 07:17 PM) Everyone would love that, but the Drays always ask for kings ransom. I'd give them any combination of guys in our organization besides for Danks. If you could get Crawford for Gio and Sweeney, you drive those guys to the airport.

Good inning for Javy....hopefully they continue to show some patience, and don't let Kazmir get past the 5th.

Awesome approach by our last three hitters! Hawk with some entertaining announcing there, as well.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/27/07 (L)
Excellent swing by Dye there. Shorten up the swing PK, and do the same.

Oh boy....Pablo's out for the season. It's too bad.

More first pitch swinging....great approach guys! At least we get to face Johan tomorrow.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/27/07 (L)
25 pitches thru 2 for Kazmir. I'm sure he'll have no problem going 7 innings with this approach. Why couldn't it have been fine last night, and then rained today? They're hitting some rockets off of Vazquez. His stuff just isn't that great right now. 4 straight bullets against Mr. Overrated. Another half-ass Sunday home effort on the way.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/27/07 (L)
What a shocker....another tailing fastball for Vazquez down the cock that a player cranks. I guess it's a good thing he's throwing 91 mph fastballs now.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/27/07 (L)
Terrible approach by Dye on that at-bat, as 3rd base is the only place you can't hit it to in that situation. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ May 27, 2007 -> 06:26 PM) Well I cant say Im a fan of that, at least were getting some runners on though Need to be more patient, like Thome/Iguchi, in order to get Kazmir out of there sooner rather than later.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/27/07 (L)
Vazquez better be sharp today, as any single or walk will turn into an automatic double with Hall behind the plate. The best chance we have against Kazmir is to be patient and make him throw 100 pitches in 5 innings.

5/26 Games
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 27, 2007 -> 03:42 AM) Good, we can cut Pods when he comes off the DL. You know that will never happen. He'll come back and struggle....but they'll just say he's not 100 pct healthy or he's having trouble playing at full speed due to fear of reinjuring himself.

Rainout Frustration
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 27, 2007 -> 03:48 AM) They really handeled tonight piss poor. They could have easily started this thing at 8:30 or 9, and they add on by scheduling the makeup game for a Monday afternoon in late August, a date and time in which nobody is going to show up, AND it means we have a stretch during that time of 19 games in 19 days now. A lot of people got screwed tonight, that's for sure, and it's a darn shame. Yep, spent a lot of money for four tickets tonight, and there's no way any of the people can go to the game in August. I can't imagine how pissed off some families with little kids would be about this.

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/27/07 (L)
Really stupid to not try and get a DH in tomorrow. We keep missing bad pitchers due to the rain outs, like Ponson and now Jackson. This is about as good of news as the fact that Halladay has made a dramatic recovery and will return 3 weeks early to face the Sox next week. We're facing some pretty nasty starting pitching.

Lots of rain tonight....any chance they get this in?

AJ Pierzynski
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 26, 2007 -> 01:04 PM) AJ has more big hits since he became a White Sox than any other player on the team. He also brings with him an attitude that has rubbed off on guys. The winning percentage of the teams he's played for is incredible. I know you can't give him full credit for that, but you probably can give him some. The White Sox would never have won in 2005 without him. I'm sure some on the team find him to be a pain in the ass, if not most, but I think they all respect him when the game starts. He may be an ass, but he's not going around beating women, taking drugs, breaking laws. The Sox are lucky to have him. Congrats on the best post I've seen all season.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
I thought Crede looked great at the plate today.
