White Sox vs. Angels, 5/6/07 (W)
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:50 PM) Gustavo Molina will never ever get a hit. Ever. It's an absolute joke he's on a Major League roster.

Jeez, we suck in those situations.

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:38 PM) Uribe 2006: .235/.257/.441 Uribe 2007: .224/.299/.408 s*** is still s***. The guy can't hit and he shouldn't be on a major league team. But with that said, we have no backups who can either. More failure on KW. Uribe would be a great utility player.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:36 PM) Erstad has been an offensive upgrade over Anderson. I imagine Hall healthy would be an offensive upgrade over Widger/Alomar. Pods was playing better this year than 2006. Uribe is better this year than 2006. So how is it KW's fault that Konerko, Dye, Iguchi and Crede aren't hitting? Was he supposed to trade all 4 of them and bring someone else in? He should have tried to add more speed and youth to this aging lineup, especially improving their lineup against LHP. Has Uribe really been that much better than last year? Maybe I'm just forgetting how much we sucked last year. At least when Hall returns, we can put him at 1b.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:35 PM) You really can't even say anything about this offense right now. Every possibly insult/comment/criticism has been used in the last 2-3 weeks. At least we're relying on a slugger to return from a rib cage injury and making no other adjustments to our roster at all! The worst thing that could happen is if we keep this s***ty roster together, and we're only 8 games out at the deadline and don't become sellers. The Indians and Tigers are so much better than the Sox this year.

On the bright side, at least there's no game tomorrow.

Joe Crede with his 1,000,000th pop up of the season!

Am I the only one that noticed Buehrle's fastball at 86 mph all this inning?

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:26 PM) That's a GW 2B in the 4th inning. My only hope is that people lose their job after this season.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/6/07 (W)
It must be nice to have a hitter off the bench who can mash LHP. Buehrle has no one to blame but himself for walking a guy with none on, two outs. We suck!

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:19 PM) If we lose Buehrle, Dye, and Gooch next off season, it will be worth it if we get Ichiro. Ichiro is going to get a fortune this offseason. With all of the holes we're going to have in the next few years with our lineup, we'd have nothing left to afford anything better than the 2 million dollar reserve crap we have right now.

Unreal Pablo....I hate the DH rule.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:12 PM) There will be a lot of pretty good players available as free agents. If the White Sox lose all their guys and don't put much of an effort in landing a big name or 2, and this season is one which does not include playoffs, the residual effect of winning the World Series will be over and wasted. I can't see how we're going to be active in the FA market with all of the inflated contracts. If KW still has the same piss-poor attitude he had about it last offseason, then I hope he quits after this season.

QUOTE(Soxfest @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:10 PM) I find it funny KW has been quiet lately he knows he has made major mistakes with this team! Injury excuse!
-
White Sox vs. Angels, 5/6/07 (W)
The amazing thing is how infrequently we hit the ball hard. Guys like Konerko and Crede have hit so few balls hard this year, as well as Dye. It's not like they're hitting into a lot of bad luck.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:08 PM) Just look for guys that used to be pretty good, but have gone downhill or have been injured and will be available for a bargain basement rate. Unfortunately that is where KW still shops. By that time, I don't think KW will still be here. This organization really needs a new direction after this year, when most of the veterans will be gone.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:06 PM) Buerhle better not give up more than 1 or 2 runs today. I don't see how anyone can blame Walker if this particular line-up doesn't score off Colon. Nope, this disgrace falls on KW's shoulders.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/6/07 (W)
I'm shocked that this split-squad lineup is getting dominated. This is bulls***.

Good inning by our offense....this isn't even fun to watch.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 07:46 PM) That was a great 3-1 swing from JD He's taken some horrendous swings in that count this year.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 07:05 PM) Not sure what you really could have expected though. I just don't know how KW can sit back and think this lineup is acceptable. I'm sure he'll say he's shocked when Thome and Pods try to return and either aren't as effective due to overcoming the injury or they re-injure themselves right away.

2007 MLB Catch-All Thread
The Nationals have two of the worst players I've ever seen get playing time in the majors in Wilson and Casto. Meanwhile, the Cubs keep getting break after break this week, and are on a nice run.

Clemens back to the Yankees
I hate everything Clemens stands for right now.

Such an embarrassing lineup

De La Hoya/Mayweather
Absolutely the type of match I expected....set up perfectly for a rematch. Things seemed just so scripted. I loved Floyd's entrance.
