  1. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) They said he was the one looking at tapes. Who, Crede or Walker?
  2. Ha, that's actually very funny by AJP. Good to see everyone get a laugh about it.
  3. Giambi left the NYY game with back spasms.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) 5 feet to the right next time Crazy. Thought that was a double or maybe a homer off the bat.
  5. QUOTE(tony72 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:54 PM) I was listening to a pre-game show with Bruce Levine asking Walker about the hitting problems and he said "you can only do so much..you don't want to interfere too much with a hitter's technique.." I could not believe he had said that. If the technique is bad - you wouldn't want to interfere with it and improve it? Walker is absolutely clueless. The fact that Uribe needed outside help to change his swing shows that Walker is overmatched at the job. I'm pretty sure that Crede was the person who had to notice his own mechanical flaw in his swing when he was hurt.
  6. Who just laughed at Carl's swing? I know I did.
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) Ugh. I hate when I read this. Gload was in his way, he had to throw the right a little bit. To be honest, I was out of town that wknd, and only saw the highlights once. However, the one time I saw it, it seemed like an awful throw.
  8. QUOTE(downstairs @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:51 PM) Every team has a 1-in-8 chance in the playoffs. It is a crapshoot. No two ways about it. Sorry that isn't sexy... but it just statistically true. You get there, you roll the dice. Trust us, 99 pct of us would be thrilled to just make the playoffs now, and see what happens.
  9. Good play by c***o for the Sox. PK showing Iguchi how to throw the ball home to get a runner.
  10. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) Personally i think we have a better chance at going deep in the postseason as the WC team. But the way were playing now, we'll be lucky to get there. And of course blowing the division probably won't exude alot of confidence either. If this inconsistent mix of terrible offense, lackluster pitching, and pathetic managing continues, there's NO CHANCE this team makes the postseason.
  11. Leadoff triple by Nick c***o.
  12. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) Yes he should have been fired in August. I'm totally serious too. This team needs a personel change... Trust me, I know. SSI has been saying he should have been fired for seemingly 10 years now. He's been right on the ball all season about this offense's shortcomings.
  13. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) Meanwhile Pods takes ANOTHER called 3rd strike. Don't worry....at least he'll break up the double play. Does anyone find it ironic that one of the reasons the mgmt hated Carlos Lee was cause he would admire his homers, and that we traded him away for someone who hasn't hit one all season?
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) When our hitters make contact, maybe they should yell FOOOOOOOURRRRRRR!!!!! Another high pop up. Is this the long drive contest or closest to the pin? Do you think that maybe Greg Walker should be blamed?
  15. You have got to protect in those situations Pods! Does anyone know how many K's looking has has this season? Reminds me of D. Jimenez.
  16. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:42 PM) Hopefully after this year, we dont resign Timo. Or our fearless leader will insert him retardedly all next year also. Hopefully we won't have our big trade acquisition be someone that our manager can't put in the starting lineup with about 15 games left in a pennant race.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) Boston's losing big. Wouldn't that be funny if Cleveland got the AL's top spot. Yeah, that would be interesting. I honestly believe they're the best overall team in baseball, especially with Rolen out for the Cardinals.
  18. On a team with a struggling offense, you give someone like Gload, Anderson, or Borchard the chance to give you a spark in a game. Like I mentioned earlier, Ozzie is going down with his starting lineup on the field, and that's commendable.
  19. Who would have ever thought this year that the Bears game would be more entertaining than a stretch run game against the Twins?
  20. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 06:34 PM) Wait why is Blum playing? It's a ploy by Ozzie to make sure that people think that it's KW's fault for what has happened to this team.
  21. 3 high flyball outs. Lohse has absolutely nothing. Seriously, if you put Timo, Gload, Borchard, and Anderson into the game, they would give you just as good of a chance as our starting lineup does now.
  22. With AJP's struggles happening since he missed a few games for his baby being born, I bet it's the last time they have a baby during the season.
  23. We ALWAYS have WTP against the Twins in Minnesota.
