  1. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 6, 2008 -> 05:15 PM) 2 names popped out at me in this years draft... Pick #180 - Kenneth Williams Jr. (aka the son of Kenny Williams) Pick #210 - Jordon Danks (the brother of John Danks) Interesting Well....we got Danks anyway even picking Williams at #180...SSI should be happy...

  8. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 06:16 AM) Wow, some people actually think I'm serious. When I first read it I didn't read who posted it...but now it makes sense
  9. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 05:31 AM) that was a great interview with PK. as bad as he has been this year, it is hard not to love him. Thats why I have had my sig what it has been the last 2-3 years...
  10. When I was living in Kzoo and the games were still on 1000 I could pick it up pretty well depending on the weather and time of day.....not too sure where each of those stations have their antennas but since D-town is about 2 hours from Kzoo I would have to say it might be a stretch depending on your antenna and radio....
  11. Saw MB down in Tuscon at a bar ST of '06 got him a shot of Jaeger and her got me a beer later.
  12. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 05:55 AM) Changeups and breaking pitches are this teams downfall. It really makes me think.....that has been the downfall for years now, even with this years revamped lineup....was thome a bad changeup hitter before he came here? I don't want to beat a dead horse but maybe the hitting coach has something to do with that??? You'd think after all these years there had to be some practice on hitting the changeup.....or do they just say f*** it and say we'll just go with what were good at and sit on fastballs....
  13. QUOTE (north side chi sox fan @ Jun 2, 2008 -> 06:52 PM) was Konerko hurt in 2003 or was he just bad? I believe that was the season of the Twins walkoff for Paulie which got him out of the funk
  14. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 10:22 PM) Didnt he say he would NOT change things after the Toronto series? I dont remember him saying anything like this yet, especially not in regards to Walker losing his job I think you are right.....and I too have never herd him say anything about Walker
  15. QUOTE (Texsox @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 04:10 PM) Ozzie's job is to get the best out of every player. To do that, he better not have a double standard, he better have 25 different standards, one for each player. What might be great for Buerhle, could be a disaster foir Jenks. wow, ozzie really putting Kenny on the spot.....i like it
  16. I don't know exactly what a hitting coach's job description is, but if you don't produce results for a business then you are usually fired....if his job description says "Provide hitting knowledge to the team but above all else be a friend and colleague to your players." then i guess you can't fire him... fine, keep him on the bench if he is worth that much to the players because he is a friendly guy.....but this lineup needs a new perspective in there.... It was said before in another thread...this is why you don't hire friends to be your hitting coach......
  17. I like it.....nice contrast to my negative thread Great Job Coop!
  18. well...this has always been through this site for years but how do you feel as of right now?
  19. What the hell happened to the approach everyone on this team was taking the first few weeks of the season....we were all praising Walker then......but s*** looks like it was just luck....
  20. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 09:25 PM) perfect example on why you dont hire your friends to be your assistant coaches. too scared to fire him. God that is so true......I mean seriously though we have to do something to shake up this offense but this organization doesn't have the balls to fire him.....
