QUOTE(Y2HH @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Seriusly, dude, you know nothing. I'm 30. I've lived in Bridgeport for 30 years...and I'm just tired of this. I admit, I'm a bit drunk right now so I'm just burning from this 1 hitter BULLs*** loss..and I know I'll take all this back tomorrow morning... (it's taking me forever to spellcheck this), but this is just...I don't even have the words for it...I can't take it... But don't tell me to get off your bandwagon..what are you, 18? YOU'RE on MY bandwagon, son. I've been a fan before you were born. K---BYE. Oh, and...if you do happen to be older than me, I apologize for being on your bandwagon, but I doubt it. You sure as f*** don't sound like a fan to me. I don't give a s*** how old you are.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) It would be an excellent start. Perez has a .945 OPS against lefties, and would be very cheap to acquire. He'd also give you a back-up at 1b for PK. Ozuna should never, ever play 3rd base again. I appreciate Ozuna's hustle, but I've never seen a 3rd baseman look worse on defense. There would have been some nice pieces that would could have picked up at the deadline that would have made the team better but what I'm saying is, there wasn't that one big bat out there that would have made this a dangerous offense.

QUOTE(Y2HH @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) You may be right, but f*** this. You may not agree, but I believe I deserve more than this. The Twins are a 50M team. We are better than them. We spend 75M to lose to them...BAD...EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Enjoy it. And to the other guy who said that's just sad...good for you, enjoy being a Cub fan...err I mean a loser Sox fan the rest of your life. Like I said, the ONLY way I take any of this back is if this team prooves to me they DESERVE ME as a fan...they win this division. I don't care if they get swept out of the playoffs, but they need to win the division for me now. I've been there through everything with this team, now they need to do what should be easy to do to keep me around, and win a few games a take this division... Maybe I'm just a little drunk and mad...but this makes me sick. Period. Dude, have fun. I seriously don't want you claiming to be a Sox fan. GET THE f*** OFF MY BANDWAGON. I'll continue to be a "loser sox fan" for the rest of my life, it doesn't mean I'm a blind f*** that doesnt' see obvious holes in my favorite team, it means they are my favorite team I hate them right now but tomorrow night I'll be cheering for them again. If they blow it I'll be f***ing pissed and b**** and moan but I'm not just going to quit being a fan. That's just f***ing stupid. You f***ing make me sick.

I notice a twins fan lurking in this thread. Laugh it up Jim, laugh it up.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) Matt Lawton, Eduardo Perez, Raul Ibanez You really think picking up one of those guys would make this offense hit? You think we would have won this game if we had Eduardo Perez?

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) Help is not on the way. KW is going to sit on his hands this year. The last few years, he trades everything for Everett and Alomar. This year when we actually have a chance at doing something, we dont trade because god forbid we trade a good prospect. He might be good like Borchard one day. Now our pitchers got a great message, pitch the game of your life and we will whimper out like a fart trying to swing for the fences. They dont need bats, with their swings they need Tigers driver. FORE!!!!!!!!!!! Timo Perez is our answer because he f***ing brought in some nasty panties. Name one guy the Sox could realistically have traded for and didn't that would make this team not suck on offense.

QUOTE(Y2HH @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) I'm absolutly ashamed to the point that I actually wished I wasn't a White Sox fan tonight. I'm sick. I'm finished. If this team doesn't make the playoffs, it's over...I will never cheer this team again. I know I'm spewing garbage, I know I'm spewing hate...but I deserve more than this...we all do. Griffey was what we needed...but didn't get, and will not get...and this is what we have instead. It's over. The Indians are the AL Central Champions...and we are the ultimate losers. If this team doesn't win this division, they just lost a fan. And yes, I realize you kool aid drinking Sox smarks will disagree with me, but I no longer care...I can't take it anymore. This is the worst display in the history of sports. A 1 hitter loss. f*** these overpaid b****es. The only way I take any of this back is if we actually win this division...which I no longer see happening. That's just pathetic.

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) Part of me (the sick part) wants this team to blow the lead and not make the playoffs. Anyone else have this? No, that's f***ing stupid.

QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) f***ing KW should od something. Overpay for Junior. This was your year to win it all. I hate this bulls***. How do you overpay for a guy that's not on the block? If there's one guy you can't blaim it's Kenny Williams.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) :headshake will the indians ever lose? Down 4-2 in the bottom of the 5th.

I've got a weak schedule for this semester. Early classes, nothing hard. My biggest pain in the ass class will either be Psychology or Micro-Economics (simply because I can't understand s*** the teacher is saying) and Psychology because it's Psychology and it's meant to be hard. 15 credit hours, very simple.

4-2 D-rays lead in the 3rd. Injuns making a come back already. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) Tampa Bay has jumped out to a 4 run lead in the first vs Indians. I wonder how many innings it will take for Cleveland to come from behind tonight? The question is will Jake Westbrook go on to dominate the rest of the game after giving up 4 runs in the first. I say this game is tied up by the 4th with Jake Westbrook giving up 2 hits the rest of the game.

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 06:00 PM) Thank you, Matt. It never made sense to me to post only the White Sox line-ups. Usually we get the Sox lineup before we get the opposing team's lineup. Scott Reifert only posts the Sox lineups. Though he hasn't updated his blog in a few days... -
QUOTE(Frank the Tank 35 @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) On ESPN News they said that the Rangers also plan on keeping him for next year as well. All that means is the Rangers will offer him arbitration or give him a 1 year contract and avoid arbitration next season. Most likely the latter.

Gotta love Finnish publicity stunts...

Why do people continue to argue with Jeckle regarding Gload's defense? The same arguement is just going to come up the next time someone mentions Gloads name, I don't see the point.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 11:47 AM) The Padres have made Giles their #1 goal .. he's not going any where. The Marlins aren't letting go of Delgado no way no how. Especially if they win another championship. But Damon is very intriguing for the White Sox. I don't believe we can't outbid the Cub for his services. If we can get past BOS in the playoffs or if BOS doesn't make it then Damon might consider the White Sox. At 33 he would greatly help our ball club. We don't have to get rid of Dye. He can become the 4th OF option that Everett currently fills. We get rid of Everett which we won't need with Damon on board. Better balance in the lineup: LHB - Pods LF SHB - Iguchi 2B LHB - Damon RF RHB - Konerko/FA 1B RHB/LHB - Thomas/FA DH RHB - Rowand CF LHB - AJP C RHB - Crede 3B RHB - Uribe SS Iguchi bats right handed he's not a switch hittter, I don't see how wouldn't know that. Johnny Damon's arm in RF would be atrocious, they'd run on that OF all day long. I don't see a player like Jermaine Dye moving to a 4th OFer spot, he could start for a lot of teams in baseball, I don't see him exepting a role like that. You say FA DH/FA 1B. Plaese name a few DH/1B that you would like to see in a Sox uniform. There isn't much. -
QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 12:17 AM) Goldy, you need to take that skill and make (money) a career out of it for yourself. If it isn't your career already, you are wasting your talents on something else. I thought it was his career, or something similar to graphic design.

Happy Birthday Assface. Seriously, enjoy yourself. You're 18 now, go hit a strip joint for the first time legally.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) I work out once a day and I have soccer practice ffor 3 hours a day, it doesnt help. The only reason I am saying this is because of the constant birrage of what has been going on. In the last 2 months....for the people who have referred to "curveballs".....well, Zack Greinke is pitching to me. Felix Hernandez has a better curveball. I know the one thing that always used to get me through stressful times in High School and I'm not gonna recommend it to you because you are pretty young and seem to have some set moral values but I know whenever I was stressed or just had to I'd go out and get laid. IMO, #1 legal stress reliever.
