  1. I hope Clinton's campaign falls apart. I'm not really an Obama fan because I'm a Republican and don't agree with a few things he has talked about, but I believe if he is elected president he'd be a pretty good one. I don't believe that with Clinton.
  2. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 10, 2008 -> 09:08 AM) well, the comment was inappropriate in my opinion. While the term might not have been out right sexual, it was the context. His IDEA was correct, but his wording was bad. What he was trying to say is the Clinton campaign is basically using her to give her mom a good name. Note: She rarely or never campaigned until Hillary lost Iowa. So, he is saying they are "pimping" her out to give them a good name and good face. if it had been a guy, it probably woul dhave not been an issue. But you really shouldnt say they are "pimping" a woman. A short suspension is plenty. The Clinton's are just upset that MSNBC refuses to bow before them. Frankly, I think MSNBC hates the Clintons. At least several of their hosts do. CNN bends over backwards for them, but MSNBC wont. OK, I see, it makes sense but I can't stand those double standard issues where it'd be ok if it was said to a man, but you can't say it to a woman. Or if a woman says something it's ok, but if a man says the same thing it's terrible. Hahah sorry tha's my rant in regards to this situation, I'm done.
  3. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 9, 2008 -> 06:34 PM) The Cleveland Plain Dealer has endorsed Obama. Although, CA proved pretty conclusively to me that endorsements by newspapers don't matter much these days. The Clinton Campaign is saying that a temporary suspension for Shuster is not enough. I guess I don't know the "pimpin" controversy that well, maybe I should see if it's on youtube or something to hear how it went. But does anyone think it shouldn't be that big of a deal? I guess in my generation pimp is used loosely for a lot of things. They even have a show called Pimp My Ride, which is a terrible show in my opinion, but to me that's a differen version of the word. Sure he shouldn't have said that, but getting suspended seems too much if you ask me. The Clinton's are doing a good job playing the victim card it seems.
  4. He wouldn't be ripping them had Gasol went to the Spurs. That would've been a front line of great proportions.
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 9, 2008 -> 05:22 PM) Jesus Christ. Man I was going for ISU too. Shoot. Sorry from over here at UNI.
  6. I really dislike it when a campaign tries to use dramatic music to make a point, it's quite comical at times.
  7. I love Huckabee's charisma, he has a really slim chance at getting the nominee, but at least he's putting up a fight.

  9. Yeah I can't win either, I'm looking to lose 15 pounds.
  10. PA, I sent you a PM. I'll give you my official weight tomorrow. If you need an esitmate I'm probably around 205, considering I was that a week and a half ago.
  11. Man I hope this story doesn't get bigger. But at the same time Fields needs to understand, and probably does understand that in the sporting world, you have to have thick skin to succeed.
  12. Yeah it's not set in stone yet, but it's looking ever more clear that the GOP ticket is going to be McCain/Huckabee.
  13. A few that would be considered sports that I really liked were Iron Will and Cool Runnings. Iron Will is a dog sledding movie, but I've always liked it. Major League and Major League II are awesome. Remember the Titans is great. Field of Dreams is good too.
  14. I'm surprised one of us wasn't in the lineup with that many different lineups.
  15. that's sad when the most frequent lineup was only used 8 times.
  16. I've been playing since 2001. I have a 75% performance rating, somewhere around there. Head to Head is best but I'll do Roto if there needs to be more teams. I was in #4 and #6. I really liked #4, but whatever you need me to be in is fine. I would rather not be a commish, but if you need someone I'll do it.
  17. QUOTE(BearSox @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 08:21 PM) So, it looks like McCain's gonna get the nomination most likely... if so, who do you think his running mate might be? I would think Romney so he could try and win over some more of those conservative votes, but then again you never know. If I were McCain I'd rather go with Huckabee to try to solidify the southern states to go to the Republicans. If the Republicans want to win, they need all of the southern states.
  18. Yeah that was great. I also liked seeing Huckabee talk after their fight.
  19. hey sorry I'm stupid when it comes to computers, but how do I get that sig to be my sig?
  20. Stretch is the one that gets me annoyed more than anything else. But I'm glad he'll be back because he's all I know for commentators.
  21. I was impressed with how well Huckabee did tonight. I thought he was going to be dropping out after tonight, but maybe not now.
  22. I really like the idea of letting the troops in for free to support them.
  23. Spring Training can't come soon enough.
