QUOTE(Linnwood @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 11:59 PM) Does anyone have an idea where Bobby is on list of least needed # of opportunities to reach 100 saves? whatever it is I'm sure Joe Nathen is up there. The race is on between Konerko and Dye to get to 1000 RBI's, they're even right now.

QUOTE(shipps @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) Iam compulsive about staying and watching the garage door close.Even after its closed I watch it for a minute or so to make sure it doesnt go back up.Iam so habitual with it I still wonder throughout the day if I closed it or not. I do that too, but mine is because when I was in 5th grade the door shut on my cat and killed him. Very sad, especially since it looks like my family has to put to sleep another cat tomorrow since it's having bladder problems.

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jan 15, 2008 -> 06:34 PM) NUTHIN! Cuz, I'm old and out of skoo. But I'd be interested in the history of Iowa. 1: Ice age 2: Here come the Injuns! 3: There go the Injuns! 4: Let's Farm 5: HERBERT HOOVER! 6: The Tom Arnold Years haha we're on to #2 right now.

haha I have some really strange ones now that I think about it. I also do the basketball thing, I need to make a shot before I get done shooting. In softball when I'm on deck I have to rotate my left arm twice, my right arm twice, and take 2 practice swings. I wish or pray at 11:11, mainly because I'm born on 11/11. When I'm done watching TV I need to shut it off on a sports channel. I never use the bottom step of stairs. I don't like sitting in booths at restuarants. I won't eat the last piece of food if there are others around. I have to ride my bike everyday, it doesn't matter if it's cold or rainy, I've ridden it every day since May 28th, 2003. So it's a little more than a superstition I guess. I always have to wear or at least bring a hat when I'm leaving the house. I'm sure I have more, but these are the strange things I can think of right now.

SS Cabrera CF Swisher DH Thome 1B Konerko RF Dye 3B Crede LF Quentin C Pierzynski 2B Uribe I'm sticking Crede there until he is gone and I have an odd feeling that if Uribe is still on the team, he'll somehow get himself into the lineup instead of Richar.

Come on sign pllease.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 18, 2008 -> 09:17 AM) Option 1, while possible, does nothing for the Sox - the team doesn't need more outfielders. Option 2 will never ever happen. And Option 3 would be an awful trade for the Sox. Option 1 doesn't do much for the Brewers either, unless Braun is moving positions.

I'm having a hard time wacthing this too. I'd rather watch reruns of Roller Jam if anyone remembers seeing that. I actually liked that up until the last season or so.

Unknowingly separated-at-birth twins marry one another.
WilliamTell replied to Steve9347's topic in SLaM
This sounds up Joe Dirt's alley. Seriously though, this would suck and I would have to end the marriage. It would be so weird knowing that and you could never look your sister in the eye without thinking that you were married and sexually attracted to her. -
I have Comparative Politics, I think that's going to be a hard class because the Prof. seems to expect a lot from us. History of Iowa is probably going to be my favorite class, don't laugh, haha, I like Iowa History. I also have a seminar in Public Administration which focuses on leadership roles and other things, not quite sure yet since I haven't had it. I have an independent study wihch is Applied Public Budgeting. It's a required class, yet they do not teach it at all which sucks. Lastly I have Environmental Technology. I do not know what this is going to be about, but we have to take a capstone and this is a capstone. I'm probably going to drop Geographic Information Systems or GIS because I don't know anything about computers. So I will be at 14 credits.

I'm hoping both will be successful. Maybe it'll come down to who's the #5 starter, that way they're matched up against worse pitchers. Pretty close race though.

Jerks David Wells Jamie Navarro Tony Phillips, idk I just didn't like him that much. Because of the way they looked on their baseball cards Dan Pasqua Ron Karkovice Mike LaValliere Charlie O'Brien Because I was hoping better of them Chris Sabo Danny Tartabull Ruben Sierra More Catchers Mark Johnson Brooke Fordyce Josh Paul

funny story, I should see if my cousins know him because they're from Fort Dodge.

Go on the show Survivor. You'd be sure to lose some pounds on that one, plus you could become famous.

Detroit is and should be the favorites. They're lineup is practically an all-star lineup. Cleveland won the division last year so they are going to be right there as well. You never know about Minnesota, I really dislike that team but they almost always get the most out of players. Then there's the White Sox, I know we won't be as bad as last year, and the gap isn't as wide as being stated, but I'm still questioning if this team has what it takes to win the division again. Last is the Royals who will get another year of experience under their belts.

I think the bullpen is the biggest issue, then starting pitching, then speed and/or batting average. Then we have ourselves a contender.

What a meltdown in Seattle. Redskins have scored 2 TD's in 2 minutes and are closing in on another score.
-
I hate having 2 good players at one position. It's better than having no good players at the position but it still sucks knowing that 1 won't be able to play with the Sox.

Big game. Pistons and Celtics tonight.

I guess I don't offcially know if he can be sent down to the minors. But I thiink that'd be just plain weird seeing him back down there after 5 years at the Major League level. We'd be better off trading him for both parties in my opinion.

I'd be pumped if we got Figgins.

Is this team set on having Quentin be a starting outfielder? Right now I'm kinda bored so I'm looking at scenarios of what could happen for a starting lineup, but extremely unlikely. SS Cabrera CF Swisher DH Thome 1B Konerko RF Dye 3B Crede LF Fields C Pierzynski 2B Richar I don't really think that is the best option, there isn't enough speed in the lineup and to me it's starting to look like the lineups we had from 2000-2004. Just throwing it out there though.

I went to the Val-Air ballroom in West Des Moines. I think it was called that. Well I'm off to the caucus, should be an interesting night. See you all later.
