The Triumphant Return of Jake Peavy @ Angels

Fun for mental's NL 2.0 sends the runners. His well disciplined player interferes with the catcher. End of threat. -

I wonder how bmac can contain his excitement to face our offense in Oakland. I mean facing our offense must excite opposing pitchers. -

So we don't instruct our players in the minors on fundamentals. Camp Cora must be how to wear your mitt on your head. And spring training must be a big party. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 11, 2011 -> 10:42 PM) It seems like our players SUCK at hitting hanging breaking pitches. Been that way for a while. Well they are waiting for the mid thigh fastball center in. Only Dunn got one. But they are waiting. -

Our ERA as a team in May is 2.57. Teams pitching like this should be on a massive run. -

One team knows how to hit in situations. The other team is trying to figure out why the other team doesnt groove a fastball down the cock with men on. -

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 11, 2011 -> 10:03 PM) What exactly does Kenny see in Pierre? He does make the personnel decisions, right? Well the rotating dh from last year should tell you about Ozzie's influence. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 11, 2011 -> 09:58 PM) Fathom, I should add, your comments were in the first inning. Its looked a bit better, but he has definitely hung his fair share. Velocity is nice though. And to answer you, Chatwood has a nasty yacker and a good sinking fastball and was the Angels top pitching prospect. Guy has a great arm. He doesn't have command tonight. They should get to him. -

Maybe Kenny should take a look at the Angels and see that you can draft successfully if you have scouts that can evaluate talent passed the first round. Also there is this new tangled international signing period that can be used. They usually field a winning team and don't have great draft position. It can be done. -

An intelligent team would release the zero tool player. Bring up Viciedo put him in left. Leadoff with Alexei. But our manager would rather wait for his NL offense to materialize. -

Hawk needs to stop making every pitcher who befuddles our hitters into some sort of unhittable pitcher. -

Juan Pierre, the grindy no tools out maker who wears his mitt on his head. He makes Pods look like gold glover. -
QUOTE (flavum @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:31 PM) I'm not giving up on the Sox until it's apparent they can't get to .500 by the break. They better start on some amazing run to get to that 500mark. They have a good amount of wins to pick up by then. Offense back to s***. They of course get a pass because the pitching sucked tonight.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:14 PM) We're pretty much stuck with JP until the end of the year. He can hit .150 and he'll still get his ABs. Pretty terrible. NL 2.0 can't create his 2003 marlins offense without Juan Pierre. I am surprised we haven't made a move to get Castillo.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:09 PM) Cleveland has won 14 in a row at home. That's how to win a division. What are the sox at home, 5-11? I keep hearing reports that the Indians will fade. Because if history is any indicator, the sox are a second half juggernaut. Remember games in July count 2x those in April.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:06 PM) This game is boring as s***. I didn't watch the two games prior and they won. I watch with the hope that I see viciedo in lf and Pierre on waivers. But then I forget our manager values speedy crappy hitters over offense. The I get sad.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 10, 2011 -> 10:52 PM) I've never seen anything like this. How can one's player development be so inept? Kenny's idea of development is about taking prospect A, getting him to AA to the majors as fast as humanly possible. Then trading them for early 2000's players on their farewell tour.
-
QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 4, 2011 -> 05:57 PM) Benching Pierre is the easiest move to improving the team which is why it's so disheartening to see him day in, day out. Guillen thinks he is in the NL. He is not going to bench Pierre. He thinks that the leadoff hitter is a position and requires a 40 yard dash time over talent.

Top 5 manager. Cowley is a funny guy. I wonder if this gets him twitter points with the club guillen. Of course his little buddy came up with this.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2011 -> 05:09 PM) What's harder to believe...that, or the fact that the Twins are worse? The twins at least aren't 100%. We are one injury from being fun bad.
