For a second, I thought I was watching my brother in law playing Madden 10 where he doesn't believe in punting no matter how backed up he is. Then again, thats an XBOX360. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 09:34 PM) Hester trying to be cut ran like 60 yards in concentric circles, I hate when he does that. I think out of all the times I have seen him run one back, maybe 1 or 2 were on enter field cutbacks. Most of it, he catches the ball, then hits a burst of speed and threads the needle and then is gone. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 09:30 PM) I haven' twatched every snap, but Knox has looked ok. Bennett's been brutal. Knox is a rookie and has looked pretty good. The comments about running routes correctly and catching the ball are just an overall comment. Bennet and Clark have been worthless so far. -

Hester on the one side, and Knox on the other with Olsen as the TE. Thats a lot of freakin speed. Now hopefully they know how to run the correct route and catch the ball. But when it comes to balls out speed, thats pretty sick. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 09:00 PM) God these WRs are f***ing horrible. Seriously. And of course Ron Turner with a moronic handoff, the lets give up play. Good job not getting receivers, professional ones. Knox is a rookie and looks better than the rest of the f*** up crew. -

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 08:51 PM) "You see that pass he made? He won the game! Cutler never won nothin! Why'd we ever trade for this guy?" Same people who call the Sox postgame talking about how in 2005 we bunted a lot so the answer to all of our problems is going to a slap and tickle offense. Grinderz. -

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 08:47 PM) You know who I really feel sorry for? All of the sports radio guys. They're going to get so many meathead calls tomorrow. Just made this comment to my wife. The amount of morons calling in about how we should have Kyle back will be amazing. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 08:39 PM) Holy crap, Cutler sucks. I would usually jump on someone for saying that less than one half into someone's career, but what the f*ck is he doing? someone is on the wrong plan tonight. Cutler threw a post, and Knox peeled off. Either our receivers are retarded, or Cutler is just making up s***. -

This offseason getting a receiver or 2 that know how to run a route and not drop balls might be something to look at. I could care less how bad a guy a receiver is, if he can catch a ball and not make up his own route then we will be ahead of the game. -
QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 08:23 PM) I'm disliking Rampage more and more by the day. I'm sad he's delaying his fight with Rashad because I think Rashad is going to KTFO him, and I can't wait to see it. NSFW - The first few minutes of him and the Japanese female reporter, and the Japanese sports store worker are pretty priceless.

9/13 Sox @ LAA - 2:35pm CSN - Buehrle vs. Kazmir

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 05:51 PM) Doesn't really help to have Wise play for Dye if he doesn't do any beter than Dye. That makes as much sense as saying let's trade Buerhle cause he has only 1 win for his last ten starts (which he has) There are plenty of slumping players on this team. Only Rios has hit worse than Dye in the 2nd half. At least for the most part he can catch the ball. Dye is hitting .170BA/.547OPS and continues to hit in the 3-4-5 part of our lineup. I can't stand Wise, but at least he can catch the ball. The only RF that is probably worse in the field is Abreu. -

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 04:39 PM) That's loyalty and respecting a veteran player Thats fine if you are not trying to compete. If you are actually trying to win with a struggling offense, having a guy in the middle of your order who has been struggling so bad because of loyalty is dumb. -

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 04:38 PM) MB with only 83 pitches thrown could go to the 8th at least and hoperfully we get him a run or two I feel terrible for our starting pitching. They keep pitching pretty good down this stretch only to be abandoned by a rotten rotten offense. The scary thing is, Pods and Becks are on base enough to be a good offense. Its the middle of the lineup who has killed this all year long. -

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 04:33 PM) We really go into long stretches in games were we can't score,it's like they just go to sleep. Well that is because our offense sucks. We are currently 11th in the AL in runs scored. Only the Royals, the Mariners, and the Oakland are worse. Then again, most managers would move a guy hitting .150 in the second half out of important 3-4-5 roles. But hey, getting a guy who is struggling terribly lots of ABs is a good thing. -

Nice swings by Castro. Instead of trying to get a solid hit. He is trying to hit the rocks over the fence. -

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 04:01 PM) It is amazing to have 2 players playing as bad as JD and Rios are on one team. At least Ozzie put Rios at the back of the lineup. Dye for some reason, is smack dab in the middle to strand guys like Pods and Beckham. -

I don't know what more evidence Ozzie needs that Dye needs to be moved to the back of the lineup. We keep putting him in positions where we have men on base, and time and time again he fails. I don't know if he is healthy, but you can't keep putting him in a position to hurt the team the most. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 03:53 PM) Anyone still want Bobby Abreu in RF for the Sox next year? I want him as a DH to give us a left handed presence. However he is as bad if not worse than Dye in RF. -

I wonder what our team would look like with Abreu as our DH, and Figgins as the leadoff hitter. Pods out of here, or being a 4th OF. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 09:44 PM) It's weird how it's OK to pounce on some players (Wise) and not OK to pounce on others (Rios). I would never boo Rios from the stands BTW. I don't boo players. But he deserves some venom on here. Wise is a not so good baseball player. He is a career minor leaguer who cannot hit at the major league level. Rios is a guy who has put together some pretty good seasons offensively, in fact 4 of them. So when a player has a few good years, and has a bad one. You can say maybe its a bad year. If he keeps it up, sure he will get his venom from plenty. Comparing a career minor leaguer with a guy who has put up a 47 doubles in a season is a joke.
