QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) We need to fight again... b****. And, fathom, Iguchi wouldn't have made the play either. Slow chopper up the middle, even a throw right on the money and he would've been safe. YOU RET@#$! Crede should get his money back from the people who built his hitting cage in his backyard. -

Its nice to see we are dancing again with less than 2 runs. The pitchers probably want to get bats to beat the crap out of our hitters. CAN WE ACTUALLY SCORE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, OR ARE WE GOING TO HOLD ON A 1 RUN LEAD. -
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 09:20 AM) I'd imagine we'd definitely see him with Cotts at somepoint in today's game. And with Hermy's back troubles, he could be closing real soon. If the throws that curve for a strike and can keep ahead of hitters he will be very hard to hit. The only thing to worry about is how the pressure of this will get to him. So far he has done well. I think the bomb in Boston from Ortiz was a great learning tool for him. If you get behind hitters I dont care how hard you throw, they can catch up. If you pitch ahead and stay ahead, with his stuff he can be as dominant as anyone. Hermy needs to get that back in check. We need him for the post season run. When he is above 90 and has good sink to his pitches he is very hard to hit. When his velocity is down and his pitches dont have that sink to it, its batting practice time.
-
Well BMAC good luck. Throw your change and two seamer and get some of those curves over for strikes and you will mow them down.

Pods goes on his rehab assignment tomorrow. BEST NEWS OF THE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) How many pitches had Burhrle thrown through 8? Over a 100. I had no problems with the guys that were brought in(outside of hermy who we knew would get hit hard). They didnt execute and left balls up.

JENKS NEEDS TO GET SOME TIME AT THE END OF THE GAMES. EVEN IF THEY WANT TO USE HIM AT THE ALTERNATE CLOSER. HE BASICALLY PWND THESE TWINS FOR 3 INNINGS LAST WEEK THROWING ON FUMES. OUR CLOSER GETS HIT HARD AND GETS SOME DEFENSE BEHIND HIM TO END THE GAME. HERMY NEEDS TO GET THAT BACK IN CHECK. VELOCITY DOWN.

WAY TO STEP UP BUERHLE. WAY TO HIT GUYS. NOW DUPLICATE THIS APPROACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MAGIC NUMBER GOES DOWN. THANK GOD OUR BULLPEN DIDNT f***ING BLOW THIS. f*** YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Timo. :puke How is there no Blum? He's our best f***ing hitter right now. No more lefties pitching against us, so Timo is back. Timo:Ozzie::Hollandsworth:Dusty Ozzie manages via his gut. The same gut that told him to pinch hit Timo for gooch, told him to sit Blum and play Crede. The slumpbuster lineup is in full effect. -

Hopefully we put some good line drive swings on the ball tonight. This is Mays, he is not Cy Young and has been not so good past the ASB this year. This is the type of pitcher we should beat. GO SOX!!!!! Support that great pitching staff!!!!!!!!!!!! -
QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) At times, I have the same outlook. Yet, at times, I know that would be one hellacious gamble to take. If we claimed KGJ off of waivers and took on his entire contract, we could be totally screwed for the next few years if he broke down. It's a tough call to make. I have a question though, doesnt insurance cover when a player goes on the DL for a long time. I have no idea of if it does or doesnt, just asking the question.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) You think Reinsdorf would be willing to play a little more for Griffey especially since the Sox should make the playoffs (holding breath on that.) He'll get money back for that and it'll bring more fans to the ballpark to see Griffey play. Well for years he has said that the payroll was down because people didnt come to the park. Well people are coming in droves, lets see if he ponies up some bucks to make a run.
-
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) yeah it would, I'd like to think the Griffey deal isn't dead, but I won't believe anything until I see him in a Sox uniform. Here is the worrysome quote. So we are still far apart in money owed. So dont blame KW, Thanks Reinsdorf. And we would have to give up a good pitching prospect. I think the money is probably a lot of it.

What is a CAPTCHA. Thats the little image that you get on certain sites like ticketmaster, yahoo and others that makes you read the image and type in the contents in a box to verify that you are a person. It was designed to keep Bots from autosubscribing to sites and basically taking them over. The idea is that this technology will keep the humans in and the bots out. Well, as security researchers are sneaky bastards a few of them have figured out flaws in this technology and are starting to post proof of concepts on how to crack this. Nothing out in the wild yet with this. Another way of defeating web bots goes down the dust hole Yahoo's version broken On the good news front this is similiar technology that Ticketmaster uses this, maybe I can get playoff tickets after all. WHOOO HOOO

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) Not even close, keep trying, maybe pull out some more stuff about Timo blowing Ozzie, you're much better in that genre. Rather than you checking on security, I think security should be checking on you because there's definitely a problem. I hope your one year old listens to his mother, the father is a lost cause unless the kid plans on growing up to be Mr Picture Poster and toilet humor. Don't worry, you still have time to turn it around ... but you're not off to a good start today. See this is where you turn it personal. You go from talking to me to brining my son into this. You talk a good game, then you run your mouth and run to the mods. Now let me help you out Jimbo, in Illinois is against the law to threaten bodily harm by chat/email/or written word on an website or blog an individual or post their person information on it. Just remember that the next time you want to threaten another poster like you have done a few times this year.

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:08 AM) As for your shirt, use it as your diaper. Your one year old can change it for you. Hopefully he turns out better than dear old dad. Well Kim not all of us are back in the diaper part of our life like you.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 09:18 AM) How about we call up Borchard or Brad Fullmer if we still have him. Brad I still believe is injuried.
-
QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 09:13 AM) Maybe you should have listened to your mother a bit more, it might have helped. Thanks for the advise about my mother. She left a shirt for you.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) Because I wanna be first... http://www.google.com/talk/ Great another application to block for my company. Well I can spend my time this afternoon sniffing the traffic and writting IDP signatures for it. Just what I wanted to do.

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:53 AM) Wow, what a mature response. How big is that chip on your shoulder? What a mature response? See you sound like someone's mother. No chip on my shoulder. You are amusing.

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:48 AM) My point is, you beat things to death. Since it works both ways, you keep beating things to death, certainly your right to do so. Last I checked, I can point it out too. Thanks mom for the constant corrections. I will try and do better next time. Dont tell dad.
