  1. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) So first round over. Bring on Equadore. Owen looks as if he's out for the duration so you can all look out for more tight games with us flooding the midfield At least Gerald, Cole and Lampard can now play in their prefered positions. I hope, ahem Ecuador doesn't rest 6 starters like they did against Germany. If they do, Innglend will steamroll em.
  2. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 10:45 PM) I dont mind High Life, I will drink High Life Light when we go back to my girlfriends hometown...its good stuff and at 1.50 a bottle you cant beat it Did you pick it up in Ohio? My co worker is from Cleveland and loves High Life.
  3. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 11:56 PM) I think right now, it has to be Sweden. That could change, but I doubt it. Oh my. I'm tellin' you, the girl on girl smooching is an epidemic.
  4. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 04:31 PM) Wow I'm going to see The Who this weekend. I can't believe it! It has all worked out perfectly. My 14 year old daughter has been giving me major grief of late because I won't let her go to gigs at night, recent requests have included Ramstein and Silverstein so any of you who are up on your Emo will understand where I'm coming from. Well I saw an advert for a festival containing a number of her favourites including the Zutons, The Flaming Lips and The Super Furry Animals, Headlined by The Who. Job done, she can get lost all day with her mates and I can mix with mine, only a mobile phone call away. Best thing is the festivals only 10 minutes from my house. Peace has been restored to the Deploderer house. That's an awesome thing to be able to do with your kid. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 04:35 PM) Well, to be fair, even if she went to see Rammstein or Silverstein (or Einstein or Frankenstein or Springstein) , she'd still be only a mobile phone call away....the call would just come from a further distance. Oh, you were THAT kid.
  5. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 04:30 PM) Blue Moon does an ok job of dumbing down the Belgian witbier style for American palates. But, compared to Hoegarden or Bavic or even some of the American craft renditions, it doesn't even rate. Blue Moon tastes like Corona with the lime juice already in it, in other words piss water.
  6. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) Customer Service, is by and far, the 'worst' part of Comcast, and supported by what you all are saying here. They're trying to clean that up, and it's working in some places and not in others. It's too bad, because product wise, they're pretty good with what they offer. On demand, especially. The tech issue, Los... they are seriously on that tight of a schedule. If they miss a window, they have to keep moving. The 'who to call' thing is the CSR's responsibility to get it right (back to Customer Service). If they allow a 2 hour window per household and I missed the call by 10 mins., they still had an hour and 50 mins. before the next house was scheduled. Or do they over schedule, like 5 homes in an hour?
  7. Comcast blows. We had a tech scheduled to come out to the house and I specifically gave them my wife's cell # since she was gonna be at home waiting. Well guess who they called? I missed the call, but got a voice mail saying they had tried to reach us and now we had to re schedule. I called customer service and said, you guys called me only like 10 mins. ago, I missed the call, the tech can't be that far way, can he come back later? NOPE, they said we needed to reschedule. I asked why they called me and not my wife and they said because that is the phone number on the account. I was furious, but rescheduled and STRESSED for them to call my wife and not me. One day before the next appt. I called them to find out which phone number they were gonna call and wouldn't ya know it, they were gonna call me again. Comcast blows.
  8. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 12:13 PM) USA!! I'll take the one on the left.
  9. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 01:34 PM) Rob Thomas Jewel opened.. and daym.. she's a little hottie. I've always thought she was hot, even before she went 'glam'. Are general admission tickets any good there?
  10. ...that's cuz Jack Black is NOT funny, in anything.
  11. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 11:15 AM) Went to Northerly Island for a concert Saturday night... ... that place is one hellofa venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Small and intimate. Highly recommended. I keep hearing good things about it. I snoozed on the Black Crowes show. Who'd you see?
  12. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 11:40 AM) Yep. $80 just to turn the damn thing on. Then when they figure out the problem, they quote you another price to actually fix it. Most of which is labor costs. $50 for the part. $150 for them to put it on. Yep and they claim to waive the diagnostic fee if you end up having it repaired at their shop. All they do is inflate the cost of parts and labor to make up for it.
  13. My favorite is the 'diagnostic' machine.
  14. QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 10:18 AM) Germany looks very very good today. 3-0 Yes and it helps when the opponent takes a day off. Playing keep away combined with poor, careless passing will usually result in a beating.
  15. 'Trusted' mechanics are few and far between and the dealerships are the worst. Mechanics are like dentists, you HAVE to take their word for it.
  16. 2-0 Germany, could easily be 4-0. Germany taking advantage of it's size advantage, a friendly whistle and Ecuador's poor passing.
  17. 1-0 Germany only 5 mins. into the match. Ecuador better wake up on D or this is gonna be uh-glee.
  18. QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Jun 18, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/1661872/ Best movie ever There must be something I don't get.
  19. Allright 40 mins. til Ecuador/Germany. The game is only significant in terms of determining who will face England in the next round. As Suarez said, Ecuador should be loose and having a lot of fun today on the big stage. Oh yeah and uh don't let the Germans embarass you.
  20. Oh definately The Beast...............and Blue Moon is def the most overrated beer out there,
  21. Arrested Development...oh wait,
  22. 83 degrees outside? Sheeeeit, it feels like 90 downtown!
