  1. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 5, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) See, I couldn't get into them. To me it sounds like the worst parts of Black Sabbath, Monster Magnet and Led Zeppelin. I see trucker hats and "vintage" Foghat t-shirts when I hear Wolfmother. EXACTLY

Strange, I had no problems with the people at all, seemed pretty cool to me. I just wasn't blown away by the town....and it IS a town. Fenway is in much better shape than Wrigley, the tour of the park is awesome, there are no beer vendors in the aisles and the food sux. The T looks like it's running on all it's orignal parts, I guess they're trtying to keep it historic looking. I'd say you can see it all in less than two days, even with a tour of Fenway and a game thrown in.
  3. I'm late as usual, but 'Wolfmother' raawks Sabbath like, you can't go wrong.
  4. Is it just me, or does it seem that with the bigger crowds coming to the games there aren't nearly enough beer vendors walking the aisles??
  5. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 11:30 PM) Even when Local H cover their songs, Pink Floyd suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. More info please.
  6. So far, here's what I've heard about the Da Vinci Code. If you've read the book, you'll hate the film. If you haven't read the book, you'll have no idea what is going on.
  7. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 04:32 PM) I can't find her. Where is she? There is a slide show of pics right under the section that reads "my interests", she's in that group.
  8. Anyone seen this guy's site before? My friend is the 'Soxy' one in the pink cap and black top. http://www.myspace.com/thesoxman
  9. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 02:21 PM) He also did drums for a great old Punk band called Scream. Best band he was ever in, IMO. He's on the No More Censorship album, for those interested. Whats DC band did he do vocals on before Nirvana?

I also wasn't blown away by Boston. Where's the skyline? Where's Fenwayville? It feels like parts of the southside, except the whole city is that way. Lotta pubs and taverns.
  11. It'd be nice to be within a game of the Kitties before they come to town and it starts tonight.
  12. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 07:12 PM) You could always go with the Kitties record vs. the White Sox and Yankees. (0-6) Hopefully 0-7 after tonight. CWSOX45 except that we haven't played the Yankees yet and they've handled Cleve better than we have this year, I think.
  13. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 03:52 PM) I won't go so far as to say Oasis is "better than" the Beatles, but at this point in time I like more Oasis songs than Beatles songs, if only because I'm completely sick of 99% of Beatles songs. Heard them too many times for too many years. Amen, get on with your lives people....well sort of.
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) Did you try google news? That's all I can think of. The only other chance you would have would be to go back by hand and figure out what each teams SOS would be and average all of them out to get your number... to me that much work wouldnt be worth $20. Thx for the help. It's more about shutting his mouth, but I guess I gotta hear it now.
  15. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) That changes daily as teams play each other. The Tigers have begun playing better teams, so their number has been on the rise after a few games with the Yankees. In other words a few days ago it could very well have been the Tigers at the bottom of the barrel. Just great, I have to produce a link that shows the Tigers at the bottom, or I'm otta $20.00 to my Cub fan brother in law. Help.
  16. Uh, so if I'm reading this right, it's the Sox who have actually had the easiset schedule so far?
  17. A few days ago, I read somewhere (of course I don't remember where) that up to that point, the Tigers had played the easiest schedule in all of MLB. Does anyone have a link to this infomation? Thx.
  18. While we're on the subject, my sister in law has the coolest male Boxer. Why do they recommend they be fixed? Once fixed will he totally quit humping things and people? Will he be lethargic and boring?
  19. the trifecta What channel is Comcast Sports on the Dish network cable system? What's with all the straight, young chicks makin' out with each other at the bars? If you're breakfast is a bag of hot pork skins, are you ghetto?
  20. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 30, 2006 -> 10:49 PM) Pwned That kid looked like he wanted no part of the action, but got all of it, lol.
  21. I'm not sure if we're terrible, but we're definately not crisp. That is one of our strengths, can't tell so far.
  22. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 29, 2006 -> 11:40 PM) I'm going to totally disagree here. Uribe has went on streaks the last two years where he just creamed the ball, it's not just the ball hitting the bat. Now, Juan definitely has one horrible approach up there but he's capable of being a good hitter when he's not pulling off the ball like tomorrow. When Juan consistantly hits the ball with authority to right is when he's very dangerous. Hopefully you're right and we see that guy consistently. Right now he's lost, all I see is him closing his eyes and swinging as hard as he can just in case he hits it.
  23. Well, well, welll, so suddenly everyone is on the 'Uribe's hitting sux' kick eh? I was saying it all of last year, but since he was lighting it up for a while, no one listened. There is nothing in his approach or form that should make him a good hitter. When he gets hot it's the ball hitting his bat, not the other way around.
  24. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 28, 2006 -> 11:03 AM) I was looking for an un-official band of Laguna Station, the Boy Scout Camp I manage on South Padre Island. Found them! Dread Zeppelin, who can resist a reggae band that plays Led Zepplin covers with a lead singer that thinks he's Elvis Presley Those guys are fun. If you really wanna be entertained, give Lez Zeppelin a listen.
