  1. Hey Music lovers, ya might wanna check out this show for Katrina relief at Metro. http://www.metrochicago.com/ Besides The Redwalls and The Ms, you guys like anyone else on the bill?
  2. I know it's not set in stone, especially if it comes down to Sunday, but who do you think will make our next 5 starts?
  3. Update, I hope the info. from Rowand is correct and that everything is OK. http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-doug28.html
  4. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) Lets see how well they handle a little pressure. Uh, they handled pressure pretty well at the Cell beating our ass two of three. That's not nearly as pressure filled as it might get. If my math is right, if we take the next 2 games from Detroit, that means we'd go to Cleveland with at least a 2 game lead. THAT'S the kind of pressure I want to see the Indians under. Then we'll see what's what.
  5. Lets see how well they handle a little pressure. How did not win in the 9th, didn't have 2 on and no outs when it was already 5-4?
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) when was being guns n rosey a bad thing???? Right after Appetite for Destruction.
  7. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) I felt like that when i saw a band named "Clever" open up for the Urge. The St Louis kids worshipped the ground these ass-hats walked on, but I thought they had little to no musical talent whatsoever. Unfortunately, they opened for the urge twice that i had to sit through. the Urge as in Urge Overkill? or the Urge??
  8. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) thats funny, Lollapalooza was the reason my buddy liked them. I like their cd, there is alot going on, but I like that. They had by far the biggest turnout of the whole festival. People were REALLY diggin them, I almost feel asleep.
  9. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) My buddy just turned me onto The Arcade Fire. I would check them out. f*** NO. Not at all what I'm looking for. I saw those guys at Lolla a few months ago and I felt like I was at a cult meeting. Not sure what all the fuss is about. By the way, those guys are playing here this week I think. Thx for the suggestion anyway.
  10. Gonna make a purchase, I need a suggestion. Must be something new, with energy and balls, raw guitars mandatory.
  11. I know you don't drink, so go have yourself a... nice... fruit punch or glass of chocolate milk, or whatever your lame ass drinks. Just kidding, have a great day you c_____g.
  12. I can come up with better things for her to do with that kind of flexibility.
  13. Short term focus. Let's concentrate on today's game, ONLY. There is no need to run wild with all the hundreds of possible scenarios for the rest of this week and the playoffs. Everything will change from day to day and the season will come down to the last game. Sit back, relax and strap it down.
  14. The lesson here boys is: when something seems too easy and too good to be true, it usually is.
  15. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 01:42 AM) KC could've easily won two games from the tribe if they weren't so awful in fielding the stupid baseball. It was only just that they won they way they did today. The Devil Rays will play hard and I think one of their lefties will win in Cleveland. The big question mark is how the Sox will play in Detroit, who seem to have snapped out of it the last two days. IMHO, they'll be reeking of champagne and beer when the charter flight lands in Cleveland, having clinched the central on Thursday with a sweep of the hapless kitties. And I hope they take 2 of 3 and knock the tribe out of the playoffs altogether!! You bring up the Tigers and with good reason. Everyone is talking Sox-Indians and no one is mentioning the team we have FOUR games against, in Detroit. We can't get too low after losses or too high after wins. We still gotta handle business, I'd be thrilled if we took 3 from them.
  16. Ultimately it comes down to what you value and what will make you truly happy. Is it money? Is it a job that you have a passion for regardless of what it pays? If you ask me, I say choice A, stick it out. You know exactly where choice B leads, you've been down that road. At least choice A has a nice potential upside. I'm not sure how old you are, but for me, 3 years doesn't seem like a painfully long period of time. No risk and no sacrifice = no reward.
  17. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 01:52 PM) What do you tell a girl with two black eyes? Nothing, you just told her twice. What's the 1st thing a woman whose left a battered woman's shelter should do? The dishes!!....... if she's knows what's good for her.
  18. Both Cleve. and Detroit are like 5:30-6:00 hr. drives from Chicago, right?
  19. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) Be careful, I do believe the last 2 games in Cleveland are sold out already!! Interesting, they couldn't get anyone the park 3 weeks ago. And they say Sox fans are bandwagon jumpers, ha.
  20. Yankees. Bo-Sox. Indians. Anaheim....unfortunately, I think it will be Anaheim.
  21. I was very curious to see it. I heard most of the film takes place in a courtroom. Still scary though, huh?
  22. Sigh, Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie :headshake. Carl should understand and not run his mouth, but Ozzie's: "good, well I won't even put him in the lienup today" is not gonna help. Ozzie Montana makes another appearance. I wonder if PK still thinks he'd rather play the rest of the season with this team than to go out get some help because the chemistry is so great.
  23. If I'm Konerko and I get even the same money that the Sox would offer elsewhere, I'd walk. It has been a very frustrating past 5 years for the Sox, year after year having a shot at making it and falling short. I don't see the '06 Sox as a playoff team. Even if we make the playoffs this year and do well, I'd understand if he walked.
  24. Hey Oz, how about doing something realistic like not pissing away the division before running your mouth about what you'd do if you won the WS? That comment is like me saying: Ya know if I ever f*ck Carmen Electra, I'll go ahead and cut my c*ck off afterward.
