  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) Ask me when the club clinches. Till than I refuse to talk about the playoffs. So, you won't be buying playoff tix or looking into it before they clinch?
  2. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 12:49 AM) I got an idea............go to this website........ www.redcross.org .........and donate money or find something useful to do to help this situation rather than squabble on a message board about the defenition of a f***ing word. /rant over. LMAO.
  3. Hawk has that same sound in his voice that he's had the past 4 yars when he knew the team was done. He's given up.
  4. I have no idea who the comedian or the radio show host is and I didn't hear what happened on or off the air prior to that segment. But I know this, people don't usually just choose to get pissed off that way for no reason. I bet the truth is somewhere in the middle. The comedian probably overreacted, but I bet the radio host was probably a dick to him first.
  5. Problem is, what other lefty options does he have at this point? Marte is turning into a huge dissapointmnet and him not throwing well, or not being around at all is gonna hurt.
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) thats right, I voted for Contreras. Thats right. Go with the hot hand, and the potentialy dominating stuff. Im going with the splitter, the forball, the change, the Sidearm fastball, the power. im hoping for a cold day, a day where the bats dont come alive. Where the batters are caught between mid-90's fastballs and fluttering forkballs. Where a giant immigrant shuts down the other team and sets the tone for the series. I voted for Jose I feel what you're saying Rock. Problem is, what will the cold do to our already cold bats?
  7. Uh, who is the opponent? By the way, Count might be doing the best right now, but Freddy has been our most consistent pitcher this year. He's never been our best, but you usually know what he's gonna give you, that's being consistent.
  8. Who woulda thought that having all of our remaning games against the Central would be making us nervous at this point?
  9. Brian Jonestown Massacre tomorrow night at Metro. I'm AMPED.
  10. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 10:17 AM) The wife and I are heading to Santa Monica for our 1 year Anniversary. Are there any 'must see places' that should be on our list? We are doing some goofy tour bus thing on one of the days. (Uggggh...she's lucky I love her and it's our anniversary, cause I can care less about seeing so and so's house or whatever) Congrats on the anniv. Tour busses are a good way to start if you know nothing about a city. It depends on what kind of tour it is. Blow 4 hours on one of the good ones and you'll have a good idea of where to go and more importantly where not to go.
  11. In the last 10 games, Cleve. is 7-3 and the Sox are 6-4.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 09:01 AM) IF the Sox make the playoffs, and IF the Sox have a home game in the first game, Garcia shouldn't be starting. He's obviously been better on the road this season. And as for his playoff experience, I don't remember him having too much success. Didn't he beat us in the 2000 playoffs?
  13. It depends on who we might play in that 1st round. 'Long Ball Freddy' against the Bo-Sox, at the Cell would make me nervous. Then again, he's kinda gotten the long ball under control and they're just as likely to go yard on him at Fenway. Tough call, but these next 3 weeks will tell us a lot.
  14. QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) I really dislike generalities, and stereotypes, but let me toss this out. The closer one comes to being a genius in science or the arts, the more likely the person has some serious flaws. ......that's when people label you 'eccentric'.
  15. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 08:35 AM) For the love of God that would just make my ears bleed to hear him doing the Sox games....NO NO NO! lol what about dat play der? what about movin' boat uh dem guyz over der?
  16. QUOTE(Rich McKinney @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 01:25 AM) Farmer is so bad on play-by-play that it won't matter who does color. North, on the other hand, might be the perfect complement for Farmer. It'd be fun to witness, kinda like a train wreck. Although Farmer is full of himself, he's pretty witty and a smartass, 2 things I can respect. North would not be sharp enough to even realize he's being played.
  17. ....and Oak is only 1.5 out of the WC. If they mess around and sweep the Tribe, it gets very interesting.
  18. Wow, I've often said that Hawk just doesn't fit with the team and the southside image and that we should hire a Mike North type. But the last person on earth who should get the job is Mike North himself. Although North and Farmer together would be comedy classics.
  19. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) What do these chicks know about fashion. White T-shirts are so 2004. Don't you know, $5 yellow flip flops are the rage?
  20. I might wanna party with the one sitting in the chair.....er..um.. I kinda missed the point, didn't I?
