QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:31 AM) A. No. Hate it, and it's dangerous. B. No. As a matter of fact I always say "go on I'll follow you" C. Yes, because it happens (people cut in between, I slow down, etc..) and if there was an issue I would just radio him. Jim and I drive this way all the time. Nothing bad ever happens, and unless something does, these questions would never come up. Catch 22. Which makes me think something sudden happened. If it was an aneuyrysm or heart attack she may not have had an oppurtunity to act. Yeah, but her being pregnant would make me take precautions that I normally might not. That's just me.

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Would definitely have to be something sudden. I didn't realize she went across the opposing lanes of traffic. Thank God no one else was hurt. Still it seems kinda wierd that she didn't say ANYTHING into the radio to her husband for help. I don't wanna blame the guy, but wouldn't you: a. be on a cell phone with her the entire time? Even just to kill the boredom of the drive. b. Have her driving in front of you, you can give her directions via radio. c. And would you even for 1 second let her car out of your rear view mirror?

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) Ever since that father of the little girl in Wilmington (not sure on the location) was arrested for murdering his daughter and later released because of DNA evidence clearing him I am so reluctant to even have an opinion. That poor guy and his family were tore apart and lives ruined. Have you heard the means of her demise yet...? From what I've heard they haven't even given a cause of death. Maybe she just had a heart attack and ran off the road..?? That's all I can think of, or brain aneuyrysm or a miscarriage and hemorhaging ( Tragic.

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 10:40 AM) Supposedly 11 minutes after their last conversation. And supposedly there is a witness confirming he made an illegal u-turn on the highway. None of this reported by the police - but they have yet to make a statement other than they found her and are investigating, so like you said... who knows. Well, that sounds like was doing all the right things. He must feel like s***.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 10:26 AM) Its extremely fishy, why did they lose transmission, why did he pull so far ahead of his pregnant wife? I think he just said she didn't reply. I wonder when he contacted the police. I mean he had to know roughly where he lost her, did he drive back right away and look?

I didn't notice thay had switched til after he made the catch.

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 10:04 AM) This morning they showed him and his in-laws bawling. It was quite sad. Wow, that sux. Yesterday he was pretty calm and they had already found her.

I should add that I saw the husband on the afternoon news yesterday and had ZERO grief on his face and voice. Just an observation. Like you say, we'll wait and see.

Jenks to get into the mix at the end
LosMediasBlancas replied to southsideirish71's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Excellent advice, just keep it in the zone. If they can hit that kinda heat and his nasty hook, you tip your cap to em and take your loss. More often than not, they won't be able to touch it. -
If it's close, only Hermy and Big Bobby Jenks should get the rock in the 9th. Marte and Jizzcan should be preparing ice packs and getting their showers ready for them in the clubhouse.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 08:56 AM) he gone I was waiting for vomit, piss, s*** or all of the above to come spewing out of him at any moment. Does he kinda look like the kid in all The American Pie movies??

QUOTE(mwolfson @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 08:53 AM) It was pretty scary at first but then when everyone saw he was ok, it was just all laughs... That's just embarrassing. I'm not sure if what it was -- I think the guy was really shaken up, he didn't move for like 2 minutes, I think he was still in shock. It was crazy! Can you imagine if that f***ball was your kid, brother, friend or bf?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 08:58 AM) I think that is because the games mean more now, and everyone is noticing the little things a lot more. Heck I have noticed a whole lot more complaining about little things from everyone here too. If Timo gets into a game there are 8 threads calling for Ozzie's ritual suicide. The Timo thing is nothing new. Omit is a fan favorite.

I'm used to Hawk, but if anything, I've noticed him crying about the umps a whole lot more lately.

Very strange the way he reacted once he was on the net. At first I thought he was stoned or drunk, but he didn't have a hard time walking back up the net, which looks tough to do even when sober. He just kinda sat there confused and looked like a 4 year old about to cry. I don't buy that he was drunk and I just can't believe it was purely stupidity.
-
"...because of the media circus surrounding him. Exactly, people already look for reasons to not like the Sox. Why give them one more? but wait, Canseco ALREADY played for the Sox.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8884173/ So, the guy is possibly shot and definately shackled. What do you give it, 2 days?
-
http://music.msn.com/music/article.aspx?news=198432 I remember that 1 hit he had, he's lucky to be alive. Is his wife on Channel 7 in Chicago??
-
Omit P. can take J. Urine with him.
-
Uh, I knew it.
-
I saw that, had it been a W. Sox fan we'd be labeled drunk trash, but since it's a Bankee fan, I'm sure he's just 'hardcore'. I like how Pods didn't even flinch.

B.S., they're both writing books. This is their publicity tour.
