  1. Let's sweep these girls and shut their dumb mouths.
  2. My co worker's family owns a corner store in a s***ty neighborhood in the city. They are pretty hardcore Muslims, they fast during Rhamadan etc. They sell booze and 'cigarette paraphenalia' at their store. I have no way of knowing if that's common, it's just kinda interesting.
  3. Ha! Yougins, talk to me after 30 years of suffering.
  4. A lot of the liquor stores in my area are owned and run by Middle Eastern Muslims. I guess they can't drink it, but they can sell it, even to those people who are obviously alcoholics and will probably die from consuming too much of it. Interesting.
  5. QUOTE(daa84 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) i just want to know where the people who campaigned for walker to be on teh team outa spring training are. i wish i could find out who it was, cuz i suspect many ppl here are flip flopping I wasn't one of them, but what's wrong with that? You can't root for a guy and then after he s***s the mound a few times say he shouldn't be here any more? Why not? I think we all root for every Sox player, don't we?
  6. I knew it, sore biceps my ass. He's been swinging his arm around at the shoulder joint in his last few starts. I bet it's not even his trap. Get an MRI done and if he's done, then he's done. Walker blows.
  7. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 02:38 PM) For 35 year old Randa? Those demands will be lowered a lot by the deadline. .....with a bad foot and back I think.
  8. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) I never heard anything about Randa not being available. Do you have a link to that? No, nothing solid but the 'rumor' from there is that they are also asking for 2 arms they can plug into their rotation immediately. Even if we can talk these teams down to 1 starter +, who would that be?
  9. Any other big parks on schedule soon? That's when we rest Dookie and plug in B-Mac.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) The early asking price is always rediculus. I wouldnt read too much for it. Its like selling a car. How much do you want for that car. I want 11 million dollars. You laugh for a second and tell them no thanks. A month later you get a call, Hi remember I was selling a car. Yeah it was overpriced. Well its now less. I agree. What would you offer them for Scmidt SSI?
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) That is laughable for a guy whose arm could fall off at any second. I agree, what a joke. Not to mention he is having his worse year so far with an ERA that is slowly climbing. Even their fans are confused and pissed at him.
  12. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) Where does it say anything about Randa? He will be available at the deadline and he definately won't cost top prospects. It doesn't but 'sources' have said no way to both Randa and Chavez. Aw crap this maybe shoulda been in that monster all trades thread. My bad.
  13. QUOTE(brijames @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) As much as I hate to say it I feel the Sox are going to get swept by the hated Tigers. Call it 30 yr White Sox fan intuition or call me an idiot but i feel this team is hitting the wall right now as proved by 13straight scoreless innings.. The Tigers are treating this series like the world series knowing if they are to have any chance at all they must beat the Sox now. I think MB is way overdue for a stinker of an outing and then with the kid pitching tomorrow and Garcia who seems to pitch great only in big games lately on Thursday we are looking at a sweep. The Tigers can hit the ball and the Sox are going to have to score a lot of runs to win these games. I just don't see them doing it right now. Ahem, cough cough ahem.
  14. Those thighs and pelvis are in no shape for 'action'.
  15. Scroll down to the rumor mill section. So, no Chavez, no Randa and no Schmidt. Who's out there that is not only attainable, but also helpful? http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-doug30.html
  16. The other night before his sports segment, Jim Rose of channel 7 said that every day the station is "flooded with calls from Cub fans who are asking why the Sox is always the lead story in sports". More evidence of what we already know about Cub fans, a lot of them can sometimes be incredibly stupid.
  17. Artistically, I think it's pretty cool work. Is it Sexy?.....maybe on a chick with more meat on her.
  18. The regular game in 2000 when we clinched the division. I've also been to playoff games the last 3 times the Sox made the post season.....but we all know how that turned out.

  20. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 04:24 PM) They gave my mom a small champaigne bottle with my name, weight, and date on it. I was the fattest baby ever born in South Chicago Hospital. I'm not sure if that record stands anymore though. That's hilarious, post the pics, will ya?
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 04:19 PM) Damn....I though I was fat at 11 lbs 8 oz! Phew! Ouch! You were fat.
  22. How many times as a teenager will she be mortified as her parents bring out her newborn pics and tell her boyfriends the story?
  23. I think some of us need to be a little less impulsive when we criticize this team. If the offense slumps for a day or two, everyone thinks we need 2 bats. If one of our starters look shaky for 2 starts, then we need 2 arms. If our pen gets knocked around a little bit, we need 2 closers. This team as a whole will have slumps and most of the players will go through their own slump. This team doesn't blow teams away, but they find a way to get it done, most of the time.
  24. We'll be fine, a little scary, but a nice win tonight
