  1. Beating them here is a kick to the nuts. F you I Rod
  2. No one in the chat tonight? get out of this with a tie Hermie.
  3. QUOTE(brijames @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) As much as I hate to say it I feel the Sox are going to get swept by the hated Tigers. Call it 30 yr White Sox fan intuition or call me an idiot but i feel this team is hitting the wall right now as proved by 13straight scoreless innings.. The Tigers are treating this series like the world series knowing if they are to have any chance at all they must beat the Sox now. I think MB is way overdue for a stinker of an outing and then with the kid pitching tomorrow and Garcia who seems to pitch great only in big games lately on Thursday we are looking at a sweep. The Tigers can hit the ball and the Sox are going to have to score a lot of runs to win these games. I just don't see them doing it right now. No chance. We had a day off to get our heads on right, our offense will rebound tonight. We MIGHT lose one , but swept??! uh-uh, book it.

    So...

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:16 PM) I've always wanted to jump out of a moving car. It takes a lot of effort not to sometimes. And I've always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride. So enjoy that Steff, I think it sounds so serene and cool. There are professionals who can help you supress those urges.
  5. Every once in a while, in a marriage, you have to 'take one for the team'. Last night was one of those nights. We went to see "Bewitched'.....that might very well be the worst movie I have ever seen. Ya ever had such a bad time somewhere that you actually become angry?

    So...

I'm afraid of heights, but have always wanted to fly in a hot air ballon and jump out of a plane. I know, it's twisted.
  7. How long do you think it'll take Mark to dispose of the Tiger trash tonight? Guesses must be down to the minute, Price is Right rules apply. Whoever is closest without going over wins.......... a nice swift boot to the plums.
  8. I keep hearing you guys say you want Schmidt. Isin't he having the worst year of his career with a steady climbing ERA?
  9. It would suck if we lost him, but I can't say I'd be pissed at him. If I was a great pitcher and had the chance to play anywhere, you better believe I'd play for the Sox. Maybe winning a WS would keep him around, then again it might be more reason for him to leave. I'm gonna enjoy Mark while he's here.

  11. Lakes are just foul, but oceans are awesome and yes very dangerous in a few ways. My wife was in Fl. about a year ago and there was a shark sighting while they were in the water. They hurried everyone out and she saw the shark swim by in very shallow water, in an area they'd been in just a few minutes before.
  12. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 08:56 PM) I don't understand why anyone thinks we should look to acquire relief before starting pitching or even shoring up 3b. With Politte => Cotts => Hermanson as the front line, and Marte backing up, I think we are just fine in that department. Even Shingo looks like he still has a future in our pen. EDIT: I'm not saying Marte is anywhere near where I want him, but he CAN be. I think you're right, a starter is priority, but if a deal for a bullpen arm is possibly there.....why not look at it? Doesn't mean we can't fil the other gaps later.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 09:03 PM) It was about 12. I was out of line at 12:45, I thought it was moving nicely. Crap, I got there at 11:20 and it looked like a 2 hour line to me......and it was crawling. Hope you got all 3 autographs.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 08:09 PM) Well this morning, at 8 am, my parnets woke me up and told me we were having a "family day" in Chicago which included going to the taste. Let's just say I wasn't too happy since today was my first day off of work in a long time and I was planning on hanging out with my girlfriend. At about noon I realized that it was White Sox day as I was flipping through the program. I only waited in line about 45 minutes, most of the time in the shade so it wasn't too bad. Willie seemed like an ass but Freddy was nice and so was B-Mac. What time did you actually get in line?
  15. Buy those huge jugs of bottled water at like Cosco....it's cheaper than the fines.

  17. I know we're ready to forget the Cubs and move on toward the all star break, but this is my last Cub related post, I promise. Last night, I was listening to the Score briefly and the guys on there had a question for both Cubs and Sox fans. The questions were based on these stereotypes of both fan bases: Cub fans- are fans of Wrigley Field more than fans of the Cubs. Sox fans- have an inferiority complex from Cubs fans. So here are the questions: Would Cub fans give up seeing the Cubs at Wrigley for a WS victory? In other words, starting now, the Cubs would play at another park permanently, but would win the WS this year. Would Sox fans be OK with losing the WS to the Cubs this year, if it meant we won the next 2, BUT neither of those 2 would be against the Cubs? Answer the 2nd one.
  18. That guy he fought is a bum. None of those shots by Gill hit him flush and he still folded like a rookie in Vegas. I wonder how far Gill is gonna take this new career?
  19. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) Nice catch. I know that it's open during the week and free, at least when I've used it. I have parked there once for a game without a problem (again, only once so I'm not sure if it's always open) on a Tuesday when there was no overflow. I am guessing that the lots are usually open but they probably are only out collecting payment when they're directing people over there on big crowd days. De La Salle also uses the lot and I also park there without a problem weekday evenings when I take my brother to his games, but we're out of there by 9. I doubt there's a problem leaving about an hour after that and there wasn't for me on the one occasion. My excuse, if I ever have a problem, will be that I was visiting De. No one collected cash from you before the game as you parked? Shhhhhh, don't tell anyone else.
  20. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) No offense, but BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! None taken, I'm at least looking at every bullpen arm out there.
  21. Does roster cut mean up for grabs? If so, anyone intersted in the Sox taking a look at him? http://www.suntimes.com/output/cubs/cst-spt-cubnt27.html
  22. That line had to be 2 hours long!!! I had walked 8 blocks to get there and I was in a shirt and tie. I took a look at Willie, Freddy and B Mac, took a pic w/Southpaw and got the hell otta there. Too damn hot. Nice turnout, big big crowd there.
