  1. A 10 game lead is really a 20 game turnaround, wow! It's hard not to start thinking about the playoffs. We gotta stay healthy.
  2. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) And Everett looks downright tiny compared to both. It's a weird angle, Everett is shorter but bigger than Pauly. Pauly is not as big as people think.
  3. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) I agree. Shingo in the 9th. hell yeah, s*** time for s***go.
  4. It's gonna be the team from the West. Anaheim maybe?.....hmmmm.
  5. QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) If anybody knows someone selling one or has an extra for some reason, please let me know. I have been searching all over for one. try some of the ticket brokers.
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) Sometimes it's best to buy the ones that are set price.. Those ones I had a few weeks ago not sounding too bad, eh..?? He ended up selling them for $80 each. I shouda known it was too good to be true. They had third row bleachers at like $50.00 each, just shot up to double that. Everyone did the same thing, waited til the last half hour, then there were like 20 bids, f***.
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 11:47 AM) You pay for the tickets and shipping via PayPal or a credit card.. then the tickets are sent to you via fedex. StubHub handles everything as you and the seller never have to communicate. I've sold a lot of concert tickets there. Never had an issue. Frickin' bidders. The tix I was looking at have like doubled in price in the last hour.
  8. Just spoke to my Cincy 'source', he says NO WAY Randa for Crede goes down. They have this Edwin Encarnacion kid they are in love with and grooming as their 3B of the future. He suspects Randa will be dealt by the deadline, but for starting pitching. FWIW.
  9. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:11 AM) Isn't wins what's all about? I would rank Mark actually third of these guys. But seriously, isn't there a Red Sox or Yankee that could start? No, but don't worry, Halladay being in the East and facing the 'toughest division in baseball' will get him the nod.
  10. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:08 AM) I think they will give the nod to Garland with another win or two. The hottest pitcher, on the best team, that is winning with great pitching. Makes for a good story and entertainment is what it's about. I would not have a complaint with any of the three. It's a nice honor for the player, but we're taking shades of greatness so far. It may also hinge a bit on how the rotation shapes up. I think if Garland gets it, a lot of national fan attention will come our way in the 2nd half.
  11. QUOTE(BigNDfan80 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 05:36 AM) Yeah, they have them, but I thought I'd check here as well. How do you actually pay for the tix on StubHub? How are they sent to the buyer?
  12. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) Is there going to be a ticket release before this weekend? Usually there are some reserved tickets that get released. With our season ticket base being so low I can see that they sold all 3 days out bases on a combo of season tickets/ozzie&minnie plans. yeah, but theyr're being 'auctioned' remember?
  13. QUOTE(mac9001 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:52 AM) Even thought it'd be nice to see a White Sox start the AS game again, at this point i think Roy Halladay is most deserving. Why?
  14. That's what happens when you have to go off the juice, lose your velocity, overthrow and f*** your arm up. Watch puffy boy's face, neck and forearms shrink in the next year.
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Sometime season ticket holders can call the hotline and get stadium club access. I will call them tomorrow and see if I can help you out man. I appreciate it Rock. Man, I'm gonna owe you a keg at this pace.
  16. PCP is bad for you, I have no personal experience with it, but stay away from it.
  17. Next time I'm there, I'll see if they have any kind of public records or photos on the Black Sox trial. I'll see if I can get some pics for us.
  18. It looks better shaved, keep it.
  19. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 08:56 PM) Love that old stone! Man I miss old school Chicago architecture. Truly amazing, with great history. After I read the plaque, I went back inside and I got goosebumps just thinking about the Black Sox having been on trial in the same building where I was standing.
  20. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) I know they hanged people there, but I didn't hear that they lynched anyone. Could have happened, I guess. I meant hanged, sorry.
  21. QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 08:22 PM) My ex-wife used to work in that building. It's very creepy at night. But a real cool building. They used to say all of the things Medias says, but also, some other things. They have a staircase that goes around the elevator, so you can't see around corners and I've heard people see a woman in early 20th Century garb going around the next corner. When they get to the next floor, there's no one there. And they used to hang people behind the courthouse where the fire station is now. All I know is I used to get drunk on the fifth floor and smoke with one of the enormous windows open. Beautiful building, inside and out. It is an awesome building, truly a piece of history. If you guys get a chance, check it out. You can take a pic of the plaque since it's on the outside of the building.
