  1. from today's sun-times, this will be an interesting watch.
  2. eric gordon reaffirms commitment to illinois
  3. yeah, the indians just soured on him, to the point they gave their final infield roster spot to some guy named ramon vazquez instead of phillips. i would really enjoy it if phillips found his niche in cincy. great fodder against all the indian fans i know.
  4. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 10:40 PM) anyone know the best way to get beer spray off a laptop screen?
  5. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:46 AM) POTM Nominee lol. it's amazing what a good glass of wine can do for your wit.
  6. although i'd like to see less of the cardinals talk, i'd also like to see kenny ease up. is he on the rag this week or something?
  7. imo, the mets are for real. a lot of talent both young and old on that club.
  8. i have a brown louisville slugger tpx infielders glove. i've treated this thing better than most of my girlfriends. maybe that's why i got divorced...
  9. i do think that illinois needs to not only win a few big ten games, but also show improvement. the most disconcerting part about illinois football the past few years is that they've appeared to regress as the season progressed, not get better. if that happens again this year, just about all of the recruiting momentum zook has built so far will be sapped.
  10. after watching two of his first three starts i think it is abundantly clear that greg maddux is on the juice. ^green
  11. now they just need to find some million-year-old scotch to go with it.
  12. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 02:24 AM) Where would he play? lol
  13. no, you'd definitely have to be high to think the bears could get hawk.
  14. per the reds' broadcast. retroactive to when he went out with his knee tweak about a week ago.
  15. bernstein and boers aren't too bad, but they pale in comparison with the heavy fuel crew. those guys had great radio right there.
  16. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) Not too piss off any Illini fans since I think Gordon has a very firm verbal to ILL, but there is talk of KS hiring his Dad, Eric Gordon Sr. at IU. Reason being, IU's top assistant Jeff Meyer coached Gordon Sr. back in the 80's and they are very close friends. I know Meyer already has plans to try and get in on Gordon, so we'll see just how strong of a commitment he has to Illinois. this kind of speculation does not bother me at all. it's natural, considering gordon is from indiana and indiana has a new coach. sampson would not be doing his due diligence as a coach if he did not make an effort. however, at the end of the day i'm confident gordon will be an illini. i do admit that i'm not overly excited about the prospect of a year of hand-wringing over all of this.
  17. can i just say that normally i don't hate people, but i hate tom hamilton. what a douche.
  18. the indians look pretty good so far. they are going to hit, there's no doubt there. if they get decent pitching from johnson and byrd, they'll be tough to beat (i'm assuming lee, sabathia and westbrook will be good). i'll be interested to see how fausto carmona looks when they bring him up to take sabathia's turn in the next week or so. a lot of people out here are really big on him, even more so than sowers which surprises me.
  19. i just don't care what those turd burglars think. we're defending world champs. they're not. end of story.
  20. so, from 6-8 weeks, to 4 weeks, to 10 days. by tonight he'll be in the line-up and hitting for the cycle. you go, coco!
  21. i love new busch. any time i get a chance to get into new busch, i take advantage of it.
  22. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) Plenty. The Tribe could've stumbled out of the gate and not recovered that's what happened last year when they did have coco crisp.
