  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 08:22 PM) as soon as I win the mega millions jackpot tonight, none of this will matter to me. You can't win it I'm going to !
  2. Things like this are the reason why WSI went to a dictatorship. All you see most of the time is "I'm done with this team or "this game is ova" after something bad happens in the 2nd inning. Sin city Sox fan is ripped apart because he sound's a bit over the top talking about negative vibes. I've seen a guy like Caulfield ripped on because he is actually a guy who tries to discuss things and writes more than a paragraph. I know there are more mature posters on this board who don't play fantasy baseball or know the latest sabermetric stats but who's heart and eyes follow the Sox religiously without posting a hell of a lot may be a bit afraid or cautious about posting because, seriously, no one wants to be ripped to shreds because they don't know every little detail of a players contract or what his UZR is. But I know they're out there because whenever I see the "are you in or out" they show up. Well I'm on my 5th paragraph so no ones paying attention and I'll be accused of rambling so all I'm asking is that, as frustrating as this team has been ,we should all take a step back from the ledge and ask the people who have more patience and a broader perspective to post more and not let the inmates run the asylum.
  3. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 07:06 PM) That or you will get Bartolo Colon trying to destroy the city. Colon as the Sta-puft Marshmallow man ?
  4. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 07:02 PM) I can't speak for you personally (as I don't analyze every post on this board) but I've seen an incredible amount of negativity on this site all season long (although its peaked recently). I really think this team has the talent to dominate baseball.....but the negativity of this fan base has destroyed the attitude of the team. This team (and almost every team in all sports) needs positive energy to reach its potential and Sox fans as a whole have provided very little of it this season. Sin if you don't like negativity the game thread is the last place on the board you should come . Bothered me for quite a while and you don't deserve the crap you're taking but for a sports fan you're a rarity. Way too many people become way too emotional following their favorite team and watching them play bad.
  5. QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 07:00 PM) Alexei isn't good in the field. That wasn't aAlexei's fault. He icked the relay throw off his shoe tops or short hopped it and even if it was a good relay still wouldn't have got him.
  6. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:55 PM) I don't know how you guys expect this team to play any better.....when they come on this board every day and read comment after comment about how much they suck......how do you expect them to perform? It would be nice once to see White Sox fans actually support the team and give them a boost instead of tearing them apart and saying they have no chance to win. I really like your optimism no matter what but do you relly think any player comes here and reads this crap ?
  7. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:53 PM) told ya so....OVA You must be very proud of yourself.
  8. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:47 PM) If Rios scores a run here, consider me surprised. He looked like Anderson there.
  9. Couldn't get a run even with the Red Sox conceding it.
  10. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:46 PM) That's kinda catchy. I've always admired alliteration
  11. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:44 PM) Well Rios its time for you to become a Sox favorite with a nice hit off the monster here. You need a Rally Rios .
  12. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:36 PM) Many thanks my people. Hmm, I still question Kotsay over Lilli here We like that shallow flyout in clutch sac situations One less player wasted.
  13. Wise DL'ed remember ?

  15. QUOTE (nastymasty21 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:30 PM) he will go 3-2 and walk in the go ahead Nope.

  17. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:25 PM) a walk? against a lefty/lefty match up? f'n genius. quick - someone blame ozzie. Not only that but a guy hitting in the .180's w/ RISP this year.
  18. QUOTE (KipWellsFan @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:10 PM) If Garcia is physically ready to throw a hundred plus pitch game then yes you bring him back in. You sir had the guts to answer when most of us just asked the question. I salute you.
