  1. Dodged one
  2. I'll take everyone on the team making the same type of bad decisions if they produced like Burger. Oh wait they all do make the same bad decisions as Burger and don't produce like him. The guy has 375 MLB AB's and 25 HR . Give him a chance. The way people were talking about him before he even was in the lineup on a permanent basis you'd think he wouldn't be able to produce positive WAR at all like Vaughn has struggled with.
  3. Helluva job Santos !
  4. It is a sads state of affairs butnot because anyone defends Burger. He's amomng <LB leaders in HR s per AB. He belongs in the lineup and when you have a .250ish hitter who mases a lot of HR's but K's often would find AB's for the guy. That means even more on the Sox whohave been playing very competitive baseball even on the current swing against .500+ teams. The pitching staff has been a lot better but the offense doesn't get a lot of runs or walks. He's still got a 135wRC+ and 1.2 fWAR is which is only behind Robert on the team among position players. Criticizing him because of a 2 week bad batting average is not nor has it ever been among the Sox most pressing problems. Sad state of affairs indeed but when a guy fights back through major injuries and contributes more than all the guys that were traded for to be the catalysts to an extended run of playoff years and is always smiling and hustling people are going to defend him because he's one of the few bright spots.
  5. Yea I'm sorry for some reason I misread Robert swung at the 1st pitch out of the zone which is what I was talking about not Eloy so my mistake.
  6. I already mentioned that the Dodgers have a nice catching prospect behind their #1 prospect who is a catcher. I think he is the Dodgers 7th rated prospect. Dalton Rushing in A+ . LHH might not be so great at catching though but has a good arm.
  7. Looked in the zone to me if you go by the strike zone on the screen with the ball turning white meaning it hit the zone. Now you can argue that the TV zone is inaccurate but that's all we really have to go by.
  8. Well you know these 16 game seasons you can't have an off day or 2
  9. Last shot at it boys . Let's go !
  10. Kind of lucky Seattle has only 2 runs with 6 walks and 8 hits
  11. Sox will likely look like the Walking Dead tonight unless they can light this Woo kid up.
  12. At least playing the better teams hasn't been a total disaster so far. Took the series against the Yankees and couldve easily won 2 of 3 against the Marlins and Dodgers . Very cpmpetive games for the most part but losing teams find a way to lose more often than they find ways to win.
  13. Michael Jordan is selling the Hornets . Maybe he wants to be owner of the Sox !
  14. It's always been a waiting game for Sox fans so age doesn't have much to do with it when your last 2 last World Series wins were separated by 88 years and 18 years since the last one. When they won in 2005 many many Sox fans that were much younger than 90 died and never saw a World Champion White Sox team.
  15. The more he plays the lower his WAR goes. Rojas not ideal but TA is arguably worse atm.
  16. Need a DP badly.
  17. Can still win this one.
  18. i think it was 12 pitches and 4 in the zone. Late innings , need base runners, force pitcher to throw strikes. Get pitches to hit instead of crap.
  19. He did on the 3rd pitch. Unfortunately it was the only pitch in the zone
