  1. I like Sanchez , one of the OF's I mentioned the past off season that I'd like before he breaks out. I think he was injured some this year and spent a little time in the minors so he's right about at 100 ABs but now doing very well.
  2. Barely 20 years old and pitching quite well but in his 4 starts he hasn't gone longer than 5.0 innings. 10 walks in 24 IP so Sox have to be patient. Not an ace yet but the potential to be.
  3. Listed as day to day so don't count your chickens yet. Day to day doesn't USUALLY required going on the IL.
  4. Sox bullpen since May1st and in the last 30 day is 4th in baseball in ERA
  5. But at this time it's about production. Moncada may care more than anyone thinks but all I care about is getting the best team on the field as much as possible and when your core guys like Eloy, Moncada and Robert all get hurt fairly often it becomes a big problem. My post didn't say anything about his attitude. At this point I'd be thrilled to send Eloy and Grandal to the Giants for a few months of Conforto, Joey Bart and Luis Matos, one of their better OF prospects in AAA. Maybe throw Middleton , Lopez or Hendriks or Kelly (2024 team option ) or Lenyn Sosa into the mix and see what you can come up with. Losing Conforto for this year would hurt them but they'd get Eloy and all his option years through 2026 in case he ever stops getting injured and fulfills his potential. Bart might need change of scenery.
  6. So close ? I just looked at Baseball Savant and Moncada is in the 18th percentile while Burger is 77th For clarification 18th is bad 77th is pretty good.
  7. Moncada is always hobbling and does not consistently contribute to the offense. The latest fwAR says Burger is worth 3 times more to the White Sox now than the current version of Moncada. 1.2 to .4 fWAR. Burger makes no money Moncada is super rich. Burger the non athlete is a faster runner than Moncada and half the team. Burger is not ideal at 3rd base but neither is Moncada. But Burger deserves more AB's than anyone on the team not named Robert.
  8. Don't see anything on Soxtalk about some lower leg injury Eloy has. He's supposed to be day to day. That was in the 9th inning of the 2nd game when he grimaced running out a GB that Torres threw away.
  9. 1st time ever that Jimenez , Robert and Moncada have homered in the same game. That was what the rebuild was supposed to look like many many times, a core of budding superstars and your expensive relief pitching getting the job done.
  10. This lineup is OK. At least everyone in it is capable of hitting a HR.
  11. The whole division is now below .500 . Sox now 2.5 out of 1st.
  12. Burger 2 run shot, Moncada And Robert solo shots and Eloy with the go ahead 2 run bomb for the deciding run ! Kelly, Lopez and Graveman 3 scoreless innings.
  13. Looks like he got the out at 2nd, Was dragging his toe along the edge of the base.
