I like adding digital movies . Recently got Bad Mom's Christmas for free. Was actually funny. Everything Everywhere All at Once I liked. Morbius eh, Doctor Strange MOM liked it but I think watching WandaVision on Disney+ helped. Spiderman No Way Home loved it. I'm a sucker for bringing back all the old Villians and old Spidermans in the same way I was thrilled with Ghostbusters Afterlife.

Need Sheets at home. He's the best hitter on the Sox wRC+ at home against RHP. Probably not even close but I haven't looked up all the others . Shouldn't play at all on the road. Grandal playing anywhere now is highly questionable. Only Abreu, Eloy , Robert ,Vaughn and ANderson should be in lineup every day but the whole Eloy, Vaughn, Abreu situation disrupts that to a degree. Pollock sure against LHP. questionable against RHP. It's always tough in games for Vaughn and Sheets in the OF when the ball finds you too much.

It was actually Vaughn's ball. AJ is sprinting to the ball and Vaughn is settling under it. AJ wouldve had to stop and turn around and throw home while Vaughn without AJ running him into him was lined up perfectly for a throw.

If every play is made like Cueto high throw to 1st and Harrison covering 1st on the bunt the inning ends long ago.

Plus as you told me earlier , he signed with the Reds for $700K this year. So the Padres have to pay him around $300K the rest of the year. That along with the young SS they gave up seems to be right up the Sox alley. Missing on him is inexcusable . But hey can't pay $300K or trade away an ACL player for a 20 HR guy who hits RH, plays mostly 3rd and 2nd base and a little OF and 1st base when we have Moncada, Leury and Harrison to play almost every dayand the lineup already filled with a couple of guys with 10+ HR's.

I think it's relevant some of the things he brings up. Sox front office sucks and can't get anything done. Preller gets things done. People taking cheap shots at an educator with vast knowledge is in poor taste. He contributes a lot to this board. Certainly a lot more than the majority of fans here whose only contributions are uninformed ranting in games threads about why this or that reliever wasn't brought in.

Every day I find out new stuff that boggles my mind about the whole front office like the difference between Sheets home and rode splits. Sheets shouldn't even be playing on the road. Where's analytics with this simple info. Who's getting important info to the people who could use it ? So here's another one. Brandon Drury, with his 20 HR, which the Sox surely could've used is traded for an 18 yo, DR, SS in the ACL that the Padres paid $1.8M for 2 or 3 years ago. I don't know maybe he was exactly what the Reds wanted considering the Padres got Drury and no one else did. However, how could the Sox not beat that ? Did they even look into Drury ? He's a multi-positional guy who would've easily been the Sox best power hitter. Couldn't some underling have been looking into what other teams were looking for . Are the Sox understaffed ? There's a lot going on in the off season and during the trade deadline. They'd have to have some idea Drury would be available for at least a month now. How is he overlooked ?

I think asking who was the worst GM of all time just deflects attention away from how truly bad the current FO really is. It takes a whole team of guysto acomplish anything at the trade deadline when there are so many guys available. Like I just posted above about Brandon Drury. I was posting with Caulfield about Brandon Drury and what the Padre gave up for him, an 18 yr old SS in the ACL who the Padres paid $1.8 for in the Intl. draft out of the DR who is now playing in the ACL after the DSL last year. Looks like Preller gets a lot of help from the bean counters on his staff . I don't know maybe other front offices actually have whole teams of guys working on these trades trying to fit the pieces together like a puzzle. Maybe the Sox just aren't run that way. Everything about the Sox front office screams incompetence. Some underling could've been looking into what the Reds wanted for Drury . Are the Sox just undermanned in the FO because JR doesn't pay around the fringes ? I just can't understand how the Sox weren't in on him. He's not LH but the power need was great. Maybe that Acosta kid is the next Tatis but his ACL numbers are a lot worse than his DSL number but maybe he's had some health issues. Hard to draw any conclusions by looking at stats.
