6/28 Games
Perez was laid up for a little while. Maybe was hurting before they Il'd him. Those catchers do get more then their fair share of bumps and bruises.

That's a blowout win in Anaheim
Trout said Peguero was tipping his pitches . That might explain some things.

5 HR 9 doubles but I'm sure many of them have been to the right side.

I'm surprised the Angel's announcer knew that. Not many would.

My exact thoughts only I thought more about him trying to pull it. That would be fine if he could get a hit and even better if it's extra bases.

Nothing wrong with that . Right now he's one of the best hitters on the team.

Whatever Seby tapped into to become a consistent power hitter in the minors and now here, I recommend it to the rest of the Sox.

Our third best OPS player in June among players with over 50 AB's !!!!!

Maybe that batting stance was designed to make him a better 2 strike hitter and lay off stuff outside because it looks so far away. But if that was the reason for it it may have made him hit for a batter average but zapped his power. The Menchino way because it probably helped him stay in the league but it's useless when dealing with bigger stronger more talented players.

He would still have to be more selective. He has 2 walks in a month and none in a couple weeks.

The thing is he's got a decent batting average and knocking in runs but it's empty without walks and power. He's a guy capable of 40 HR's but now a singles and doubles hitter.

I asked you to tell me your plan on who plays and who doesn't. You didn't do it. Why ? because the roster as currently constructed wouldn't win no matter what you suggest. You can send Burger and Sheets down and it's accomplishes nothing to make the team any better. Time to sell. I'm not the only one who thinks so. But eventually you will come around because that's what you do when the overwhelming majority thinks so too.

You are just copping out. You never offer anything definitive. You speak in generalities based on the popular sentiment. It's not popular to say anything bad about Vaughn so you don't do it. You're yellow.

Retool Time
They are always on the market if they can play 2 ways they don't necessarily have to be fast but the better ones usually are. Contenders don't need them because they aren't ready. They need MLB talent. You replace them with the guys you traded for. That's why you trade them. Or you just pick up others trash. It's not like you're trying to win many more games this season after you make the trades. You make one for one trades or get 2 pieces for some of them. There will be enough bodies. World Championships mean a lot to some teams.

Terrible hire and even worse if he has influence over acquisitions.

Retool Time
I finally came to this conclusion too. As much as I distrust the ability of Hahn do to do well in trades, there are some guys who can get good pieces back. Abreu, Lynn, Giolito, Hendriks, Graveman, Kelly, Pollock , Harrison, even Burger and Sheets could get something. Target young fast 2 way players and pitching. Take any offers you get fro these kind of players even if it looks like you are getting the worst of the trade. Too many DH/1b types and not enough pitching talent in the upper minors. Give up on paying big money for relief pitching and dump TLR.

This is how I look at it. Tell me another manager that does better with the people on the roster, underperformance and the injuries. Maybe another manager has the Sox at .500 . Big deal.

I'm not arguing one way or another who should DH or who should play the OF. It's pick your poison any way you slice it. Vaughn belongs at 1st base. Abreu is in the way and he might be a valuable trade chip along with Hendriks, Gravemen, Kelly and Lynn. You might get a minimal return for Pollock and Harrison but they should be moved as well. I also don't care if they move Sheets or Burger just to rid themselves of DH types. At this point if trading Eloy and Moncada is not in the cards because of their nonperformance or injury and value being down the only way the Sox can compete next year is to roll with their upsides. If you trade so much pitching then you better get some in return and let Davis Martin pitch the rest of the season and perhaps you can get a few LH promising bats too.
