Rodon to IL with Shoulder Fatigue

Who says Kopech doesn't have a tired arm too ? He's pitched less than Rodon in the last 2 years and although he's pitched less than Rodon this year the fatigue could still be there . -
Rodon to IL with Shoulder Fatigue

Revisionist history is always wrong. We just had a poll here that asked Should Rodon be shut down for an extended period? 77.66% of responders said NO. -
GT 8/11: SOX @ MIN, 12:10
CaliSoxFanViaSWside replied to CentralChamps21's topic in 2021 Season in Review
Just odd to hear anyone say that. Tons of boomers use basic modern tech and are fully aware of Youtube and Smart TV's and laptops. I would imagine there is a small segment of them perhaps over 70 that haven't mastered it yet but if you have a computer and have no idea what Youtube is you are really out of touch. -

If you have a Smart TV like that you have to know how to use it otherwise it's useless even a computer or laptop with an HD or even an SD screen or monitor it's easy to find the game. Most people have one or the other. -

He's a sports fan and doesn't have a modern TV with apps ? He can get a cheap Roku or Android 4K 50" TV for $250. Some might even have Youtube pre-installed and on the remote. -

Just goes to show how good a decent offense can be when you add a guy who can carry a team, that 40+ HR power or 900-1.000 OPS guy. -
Semien impressed me early in his career with the Sox by pulling his hands in and keeping a ball fair on an very inside pitch for a HR.

Nuke Laloosh we thank you.

Precisely. Vaughn could be a little banged up. Health is the #1 most important issue and getting the guys back from injury back up to speed. My guess is that TLR has a plan on how to get guys ready for the playoffs and he will follow it despite the outcry's of the misinformed or those who want TLR to fail while somehow the team succeeds.

FanGraphs Details Vaughn's Adjustment for his Turn-around
CaliSoxFanViaSWside replied to chw42's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'm really happy that he made the adjustment and with everyone getting healthy this team can go a long way.TLR should have them right where he wants them to be come the playoffs. The whole season is just an experiment that prepares them for the playoffs. -

The interviews were pretty cool. He told a story about a group of Dads and he pointed to one and they started playing catch on the field. He said after about 10 throws the guy just stopped and let another guy play catch with Costner and he said he ended up playing catch with about another 30 guys.
-
To some like me it's a great movie. Those that think as i do that probably played a lot of catch growing up with their fathers and appreciate the history of the game. Then throw in the times of your life that you grew up started doing your own thing and fought with your old man about your long hair or staying out too late or generally being a pain in the ass to your parents. My Dad is 87 now and has been in and out of ICU's for the past month and is nearing the end of his days. The movie represents when he was pretty young and vibrant and our common love of baseball and the White Sox. It hits me smack dab in the middle of my heart.

Costner's been doing interviews with Bob Costas there that were on MLB Network this morning. I'm pretty sure he will be there.
-
We'll see how some of the guys do against the better teams soon. Rey is throwing strikes and getting guys out for now. That's way more than anyone expected. I'm surprised no one has pulled up the thread when he was brought up. But then again one real bad outing can screw that up in a hurry.

Did anyone mention spaghetti at all ? -
I was so focused on the BP and Gallo and Escobar, that I never cared about backup catcher as a need. The closer we got to the deadline the more I wanted Gomes . He would've been a really nice get although not LH he was bringing an fWAR a little below Grandal. Big discrepancy between fWAR and bWAR for Gomes . For Grandal it's pretty much equal.
