Kopech starting game 2
Yep. Time to start the streak against lefties again and Tim is a big part of that.

Kopech starting game 2
I agree . If there's no extra innings it's only 14 innings and it's not hot outside, plus he's got his stroke back. Do some stretches between games , do a whirlpool and good to go.

4-18 GT: Sox @ Boston - Game 1 (12:10pm)
With the way the Sox have been giving up the lead in the 8th inning, I love 7 inning games.

Lets Not Panic
Yup the fanboys go crazy for sure when a few guys are out of the lineup especially Vaughn fanboys. Do not play the bottom 2 positions players on the 26 LaRussa WTF are you doing you senile old drunken fool . Doesn't sound like panic at all.

I hardly ever watch the games live. I usually wait an hour to start the game. Then I can just FF through commercials or let them play or pause if I have to do something between innings . In the case of the no hitter I had to speed my way through the Sox AB's once the 7th inning started and watch Rodon pitch until I caught up to the game live. Had to see the ending live !- AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER CARLOS RODON NO HITTER EDITION!!!!!

He'd have to have a really good year with no arm problems and no extended stay on the IL for injuries unrelated to his arm to get a multi year offer . 2 yrs, 3 yrs ? 30-$45M is about as high as I can see it going after a very good year.- Andrew Vaughn Hype Thread
By the way ,Texsox was being sarcastic if you look at the Achieving Multiple Sarcasms on his avatar.- Andrew Vaughn Hype Thread
Not criticizing at all. I genuinely would like to know how often he should be playing if he continues on his current path if the Sox continue to be around .500. Obviously other guys have to step up too . It doesn't help the Sox win at all if Moncada and Abreu don't start hitting too and we should get a better idea on Vaughn's fielding if we wait until the end of May. Right now we've hardly seen him going to his right toward the corner or the foul line . The Sox are getting great starting pitching but while the offense is stagnant the more defense we get the more it helps the pitchers keep run totals down . Engel provides much better defense and even if I were willing to say Vaughn is better offensively than Engel ( which I'm not ) it's hard to justify keeping a sub par bat in the lineup who also doesn't provide anything but average defense . There will be games when the Sox pitching gets rocked and we will see more chances for Vaughn in the OF and God help him if he starts looking below average in the OF while still struggling at the plate. When does that faith in Vaughn over ride what's best for the team ? I think Vaughn will become a good hitter but it is possible that time isn't now and the Sox may not want to keep developing him at this level while they are supposed to be trying to make the playoffs . If the other guys were hitting and the Sox start winning more often it will take some pressure off Vaughn and the Sox could still keep him in the lineup. I don't want to see it but there might come a time earlier than the end of May that it becomes apparent that Schaumburg was no substitute for AA and AAA and his fielding is hurting the team. There is already enough bad defense to say we can carry more of it.- Who Is "Mr. White Sox?"
Abreu and Anderson can share it.- Andrew Vaughn Hype Thread
He could go 4 for his next 4 a with a walk and all of a sudden be hitting .318 with an OBP of .483. I'm just wondering what's a reasonable amount of AB's before we can make any kind of statement on thinking he deserves less playing time. If he's hitting .200 after 100 AB's , 1 HR and a .350 OBP is that enough to be sent down or will he be sent down if he continues on his current path before then ? Does he still deserve the bulk of the playing time in LF over Engel when he comes back or does that depend on his stats after the next week ?- CLE @ SOX, 1:10 PM Central

Respectfully ,It's time to move on when I think it is but thanks for the advice. Until a mod tells me I am out line I think I'll just go with that. I have been here a lot of years , never been banned never been given a warning of any kind. I think i'm good.- It’s Tim Fucking Anderson day!
LOl yea that's the same boat but I do agree with many because there are a lot of smart posters too that you can disagree with without it getting too nasty or getting an attitude which just makes me give then attitude back and it goes downhill from there.- Cease to IL/Burdi Recalled - COVID symptoms but no positive test

LOL hey you best be careful Ptatc . You're going to be in the same boat with me because I suggested Williams needed a few ABs against RHP's to see if we could catch lightning in a bottle and give Vaughn a chance to take some pressure off of him. Now all the people who think that was stupid are celebrating and laughing at everything I say because Williams was DFA'd. To me it's pretty petty because he got his chances and he blew it. Being DFA'd was just the result and the process of those AB's. That's the life of a scrub, produce in small sample sizes or be gone. I wouldn't be so petty or vindictive if Vaughn gets sent to the minors eventually. I want every Sox player to do well including every guy from the bench who get's a chance to play. But then again you're not suggesting a prize rookie get a few games off even though it's been happening all season. The prevailing opinion was if Vaughn is here give him everyday AB's or just send him down. Everyone is pissed at the Sox and LaRussa for doing neither and I'm a dope for agreeing with the Sox and LaRussa so I'm the board fall guy just for stating my opinion . If Vaughn sucks hitting or makes crucial errors in the OF I won't be happy about or feel better that I was right because I do really want him to be great just as all my detractors do so I put myself in a lose lose situation. There would be no reason to gloat over Vaughns failure when others gloat over Williams failure . I don't feel bad because Williams failed I knew it was a long shot he produces in games .I feel bad because other "fans" choose to gloat over any Sox player's failures. I thought we all wanted to win games not be right about differences of opinion. : Edit: See what I mean, another haha emoji when I take the time to say what I feel. Pretty sad that has to happen. I'm not sad myself ,sad for the quality of the board driving guys like SS2K5 away again . I don't agree with everything he ever said but he is a quality poster who I respected. Not enough respect here lately. Pretty much the worst I've seen it in over 15 years here.- It’s Tim Fucking Anderson day!
Hamilton is the better base stealer . They are equally fast ,maybe Engel even a little faster but Hamilton is perhaps the best base stealer in baseball. He just doesn't have much else. Hamilton is also more likely to reach 1st on infield hits more often because he's LH so it's a shorter route to 1st and probably has a better walk rate than Engel.- It’s Tim Fucking Anderson day!
Except Engel isn't due back till the 23rd supposedly.- It’s Tim Fucking Anderson day!
I know it's not but it's the truth.- It’s Tim Fucking Anderson day!
Explain to me why ? The Sox put him on the team because of the way he performed in ST over Gonzalez and Rutherford isn't that true? That's what the other poster meant. Of course injuries led to the promotion but the Sox could've chosen Gonzalez or Rutherford if they wanted to.- It’s Tim Fucking Anderson day!
Thank you and I don't care if Williams got DFA'd he might not have if he had got a couple of hits in his chances but hey he got chances he just didn't do anything with them. Playing him was part of the process to get rid of him or keep him. If Vaughn is sent down to the minors in May I'll send you thoughts and prayers too. How he plays is also part of the process on where he ends up . I wonder if Luis Gonzalez is coming up or they just go with Leury as 4th OF and Mendick as spare INF. Engel and Hamilton both back by next home stand on the 23rd ? They extended Engel's time to the 23rd when he was due off the IL by the 10th or 11th . Hamilton due off the IL by the 18th or 19th.- It’s Tim Fucking Anderson day!
He did earn it based on Spring training over the other Sox LH outfielders like Luis Gonzalez and Rutherford. Then the injuries. Edit : How is that funny to anyone? He came up over those other Ofers. That's just a fact. So petty when I am doing my best to be gracious.- AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER CARLOS RODON NO HITTER EDITION!!!!!
