Our odds of making the playoffs is 98%. The future isnt 2022 , the future is now while we got ALMOST everyone we need to win a title in 20 and 21. We are still 1 quality pitcher short.

What's rash and reactionary about getting a great pitcher for cheap who greatly improves you odds of winning a title in 2 consecutive years? Will only winning 4 World Series make you happy ?

I think Hahn said no rentals .He could have said more. I don't remember. Since Lynn is under contract through 21 he's not a rental.

Apparently neither Grandal or Colome expected a throw home since Abreu was on his backside and the runner was making no attempt to score. Abreu knew once he fell from stepping on the runners arm the guy on 3rd could make an attempt to score and rather than waste a split second looking he made a great throw home. Usually a pitcher backs up home when he expects a play at the plate on a throw from the outfield. Colome may also have another responsibility on that play to cover 1st in the event of a prolonged run down
