Thank you I already knew he was there. I just meant he may stay there longer than many suspect. Just my guess not based on anything concrete. I'm just not sure Madrigal will do better than Mendick . He's going to have to be diving around the infield and the bases. But if he is just handed 2nd base when he returns I hope he stays healthy and isnt sore all the time. I wouldn't want his power or hard hit ball rate to suffer.

That's why I suspect he will be in Schaumburg longer than we think. With Mendick playing well all around and giving professional at bats while flashing power and the team winning why upset the apple cart with Madrigal by just handing a perhaps weakened Madrigal the job ?

Leury is out and I have a sneaky feeling Madrigal might spend some time in Schaumburg. Madrigal isnt going to be handed 2nd base just like that.

Holt's value lies in his versatility. Plays every position from 3rd through 1st and both corners in the OF . He can sort of be Leury without the speed or switch hitting, but a good baseball player, much like the way people talk about Madrigal.

Would love Holt . A slow start shouldn't be a reason for a player of his caliber to be DFA.

HOWEVER, I think we would all be happy if Mazara was the same guy against RH pitching he has always been, which he also has a track record of. The hope with Mazara was that he would take a step forward not a step back. Both taking a step back for either one didnt seem likely given both track records.
