  1. Chance that Lozano gets angry again and chastises Nightengale ? 0 %
  2. Reynaldo Lopez posted a minuscule 1.38 ERA over his final seven starts last season, achieving a goal of getting his season ERA under 4.00 at 3.91. The right-hander's early target for 2019 takes that number a step lower. "Last year my ERA was a three something," said Lopez through interpreter Billy Russo. "I would like to have an ERA below three." Everything coming from Merkin from whitesox.xom
  3. "I feel like the same stud I was before." -- A smiling Palka, on feeling noticeably different on his feet down 18 pounds Gotta love that guy.
  4. if you read the comments it's like Yahoo deliberately prints comments from yahoos. I cannot believe that just about every single comment about Machado could be that negative.
  5. My bad. I knew something was off when I wrote that, Maybe I wrote Larry Himes or just thought about doing it . I just know I remember thinking over and over he's ready call him up let's go . Time flys. Frank at AA and Eloy between AA and AAA the stats are similar. The only thing that separates them is the OBP. Eloy .384 which is great but Frank's was other worldly at .487. Frank almost had as many walks as he did hits. Frank was extremely disciplined and you know he also took his fair share of K's looking much like Moncada . Difference is Frank knew what to do with the pitches in the strike zone. Frank's discipline helped him excel right away. Eloy is going to have to learn to take his walks but he also knows what to do with pitches in the zone . It'll be interesting to see how pitchers attack him. Will they try to get him to chase stuff away or go in on his hands ? I'm going to guess they rather not see him extend those long arms so I suspect he'll get jammed a lot and also get a few HBP's. Both pretty smart hitters and that will serve Eloy well.
  6. Eloy reminds me of Frank Thomas without all the walks. I wanted Big Frank up so bad I think I wrote Kenny Williams and said what are you waiting for ? Both with the hit for average and hit for power stats in the minors.
  7. Exactly. All the earlier tweets left out the "could be" part of it. I could be Rick Hahn.
  8. And 6 of those guys are Boras clients.
  9. Sure it's possible. Boras does have other unsigned clients. Boras gets a big pay day too when Harper signs and maybe other clients getting a little impatient and thinking Boras might be neglecting them for Harper. Just looked it up among Boras' other clients : Carlos , Gio and Marwin Gonzalez, Jose Iglesias, Austin Jackson, Dallas Keuchel. Mike Moustakas. Matt Wieters,Carlos Gomez, Martin Maldonado Denard Span. That's 11 of his clients still unsigned.
  10. No way ! Watching Eloy should be fun and Machado too if we get him.
  11. Will you eat a hat if not ?
  12. I remember a certain moderator saying almost the exact same thing about Harper/Machado over a year ago.
  13. Berwynians (Berwynites?) are the best.
  14. It's the lack of neurofeedback therapy. Giolito can recommend someone ; Trauma, stress, injury can cause the brain to get “stuck” using dysfunctional pathways. At the LA Neurofeedback Center we focus on “rebooting” the brain and getting it out of these frozen patterns and back to functioning at an optimal level.”
  15. Hey well I'm a friendly stranger in the black Sedan Won't you hop inside my car? I got pictures, got candy I'm a lovable man And I can take you to the nearest star.... hopefully Manny Machado
  16. Put it on your calendar3 months earlier too to start training for it. Long toss, etc. Didn't seem like ideal conditions to throw there or even warm up.
  17. Fee, fee, fi, fi, fo-fo, fum Look at Manny now, here he comes Wearin' a Sox Rawlings glove and shades to match His little baby shoes and a real blurry cap Sung to Devil With a Blue Dress
  18. 76 was top speed that tied and the pitch off 73 beat 72 . According to our lurker winner Tom it was actually eerily quiet and uncrowded. It's even possible that they had more prizes available than contestants since 11th-100th: won two ticket vouchers for select 2019 White Sox home games.
  19. Yea but you just don't say no to an offer like that. You say well it's early and we feel we can do better . How long will that offer be on the table ?
  20. Sounds strange. If Yankees offer was that high why not be interested? Even the highest reported Sox offer wasn't much higher than $240M. For those afraid that the Sox would have to beat a Yankees offer significantly because of Manny's desire to be a Yankee you would conclude that the Yanks are still in it or the Sox offer is pretty damn good.
  21. He was the winner. Congrats Tom.
  22. Ahh the good old days when Courtney Cox was the dancing girl Springsteen pulls from the audience .
  23. There are pictures earlier in the thread and this thing called search on this thing called the internet on this thing called a computer and even more shocking it can be done on a phone now.
