  1. Good game. Don;t really understand those who were pushing for Reylo to go longer. Doesn't he have a problem bringing his good stuff from start to start ? You notice his last start was shorter so maybe that's why his stuff was extra crispy today. Let's see how his stuff plays next start after going 8 today. No need to tax his arm / Maybe 95-100 pitch max should be it for now.
  2. Easy does it. It's only 7 innings. & great innings but still ,SS . Nice win. Abreu 10 game hitting streak.
  3. This and if Kopech repeats what he did last year with a bad month of starts 26 is way too high for the O/U. Hope I'm wrong .
  4. First thing I i thought when I saw the Rodon picture in the thread was Jake Burger . He looks heavy.
  5. Don't think there would be a lot of happy campers here if the Sox drafted SInger 4th especially after reading that article from earlier in the thread about HS RHP prospects taken early.
  6. What what page of the thread did the 8th inning start ? I should avoid reading the thread until then
  7. Do you go out of your way to find negative things ? I mean look at that comment of yours . It reads like a friend of a friend said that a friend of a friend said this while just a few comments ago Fegan's twitter said Collins has greatly improved his ability to stick strikes on the corners
  8. Reliever last year @ Great Falls but starting pitcher this year in Kannapolis. I think the Sox are starting a new phase with later draft picks that might target relief pitchers who they hink they can convert into starters. Look for how many relief pitchers the Sox take maybe starting in rd. 15 or so.
  9. I often wonder why anyone who posts doesn't check that their info is correct. I know it's just a post and writers aren't professionals but it isn't hard to go to the stats section of any of our minor league teams.
  10. We have to remember Madrigal missed half the season this year. But just a few days ago he was up .470 ( that's batting average not OBP or SLG) in 23 games this year.
  11. Sox would/should be thrilled to get Madrigal . He checks off a lot of boxes.
  12. Is Eloy Jimenez still available ? If so then I'd like to claim him.

I asked for Jimenez a while ago and I assume he was taken but it wasn't until August 8th I saw you posting articles on him.  I didn't see anyone else ask for him and I am sure you  are much better at posting things about him  but I am wondering why no one ever answered me when I asked about him and it wasn't until after I asked about him that your posts about him started. I'm not angry or anything just wondering.

I think the formality of the page broke down long ago with the start of futuresox. If you want to post stuff, feel free.

  13. He literally left off being injured so I hope he picks up at right before he left off
  14. The approach is way more important than power at this stage of his development.Same can be said of Rutherford and I am genuinely amazed so many treat minor league players as if they are finished products. Sheets seems like a throw back type who knows striking out doesn't accomplish anything.
  15. Act It also might interest you to know all 8 players were acquitted in a court of law . here's some pictures from that era in Sox baseball http://galleries.apps.chicagotribune.com/chi-130808-1919-black-sox-scandal-pictures/
  16. If you want the Hollywood version of the Black Sox scandal watch the movie Eight Men Out.
  17. Lillian had the idea that Eloy could become the Sox 1st baseman relatively quickly if he doesn't pan out in the outfield. If Basabe Robert and Rutherford all end up looking good Abreu and AVi could get traded but right now need to stick with Abreu because all 3 of those guys still have a long road to stardom in MLB.
  18. I did say RIGHT NOW things look bleak so I could answer Giolito's problems, No Rodon or Hansen , Burdi's injury. Fulmer's struggles, Fry the only young reliever on the team and yes right now Kopech's last 2 starts . Some of these things will improve quickly or in weeks. Kopech had a bad month last year in June then after that was lights out.
  19. I've been saying all along that failure rates and injuries will take their toll on the young pitching to those who think the whole staff will come from the prospects and I am as positive as you can be about giving pitchers the time necessary to develop. So yea right now things look bleak but really what did you expect ? It's YOUNG pitching. DUH. Use some common sense people . Expecting great things from prospects is wonderful but no one should be shocked when they don't live up to expectations especially until they reach about 25 years old. These things have been a constant in baseball for a long time. Expecting the Sox to keep escaping injuries and development time and having all prospects on the staff is just not and never will be realistic.
