Many here favored keeping Narvaez over Smith in the spring I would imagine because of his OBP . Can't be sure if he looked that bad catching last year but he does have a whole different group of pitcher to handle. Could be guys like Robertson and Kahnle and Swazak were just easily to catch and were much more consistent with their command.

Probably just Renteria playing the hot hand, not necessarily Thompson, just the fact the Sox has been fairly competitive with that OF combo. Also probably not a big fan of that game where the Sox had 4 errors in an inning maybe officially 3 with the Palka drop against Cleveland and Skole miss of a scoop at 2st and whatever else went wrong that inning. Many here have wanted better D to support the young pitching and it does seems the Sox are giving up less runs lately.

Would be finally so nice to see this kid play for an extended period of time. It's so hard to think of him as #25 in the top 100 based off nothing he has done in the states nor much of any baseball and constant injuries since the Sox signed him.

Everyone get their concerns out right now because when you get to watch him play you will love him. You'll be saying so this is how a baseball player is supposed to play the game. The game may have devolved into behemoths saying "ugh, me swing hard, smash ball "but at it's core are guys like Madrigal who lead by example and do all the little things that make the game so enjoyable. No pun intended.

Escobar Sox killer

Which should tell everyone that if he gets his shit together he will be a good pitcher. He knows how to pitch as far as working all zones juus can't do it yet.

Sox need to pile on the runs. Another comeback Twins win would be just disgusting and heartbreaking . Sucks losing that way.

Not sure what you mean by popular choice but in my eyes you never hold back the higher regarded prospect for a promotion in favor of the lesser one.

In hindsight Madrigal was probably their pick all along, Right before the draft we got that interview on whitesox.com saying Timmy will play anywhere and then Madrigal is announced as a SS. Not saying Timmy moves or Madrigal has what it takes to be a SS just that the emphasis now will be towards a more versatile group of guys to make the transition easily for w/e transpires. Love all the speed the Sox have also . Add Madrigal to a list that is Tim, Moncada, hopefully Robert. Lots of speed there to be driven in by Eloy and company. The new Go Go White Sox (even heard a Nellie Fox comp for Madrigal regarding how rarely he strikes out.)

Oh yea roster issues. Saunders had a career year in 2016 and is always injured. I know I wanted him a few years ago when he was a buy low candidate always seemed like a good field, potential to hit guy . Just not sure how much injuries have damaged him but he has pop and takes walks and used to play CF so he'd probably be our best option for a corner spot if Avi and Delmonico stay out longer and Tilson should probably still in AAA . But no pressing need for him at this point I suppose.
