    Whatcha get?

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Dec 26, 2009 -> 12:20 PM) I have FIFA 09, how's the new one in comparison? Couldn't tell you yet, my 360 is still at school. Torture, it is.

    Whatcha get?

FIFA 10 The Hangover Nirvana Live at Reading DVD Down to Earth (more of an inside joke gift) Pea Coat and Scarf Two hybrid golf clubs A trivial pursuit special-type thing Gift Cards
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 23, 2009 -> 03:06 AM) Ohio State is so f***ing bad without Turner. At least ya'll did better than IU last night. Ugly.
  4. Manchester Orchestra- Mean Everything to Nothing Them Crooked Vultures- Them Crooked Vultures Also, I discovered The Gaslight Anthem this year, so I'm counting them, even though '59 Sound came out in 2008.
  5. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Dec 19, 2009 -> 11:09 PM) Maurice Creek is very good. This. He probably stole some powers from me the other day...two days before the Kentucky game he came down to where I was working, was there for an hour, left right after me and followed me onto the bus. Stalker. But he's put up 31 and 29 since then so I'm not complaining.
  6. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 16, 2009 -> 10:27 PM) Twenty years from now, there had better be a Nickelback tribute band named either Suckledick or Craplesack or else I'll be pissed. If there isn't one I'll start it. I'm a bad enough singer to make it work, and I'd only have to learn one guitar part to play all their songs.
  7. Haha thanks guys. I was in the midst of I-Core when ya'll posted this...that's a bad ten days!
  8. Last night was the biggest win for the Hoosiers under Crean.
  9. QUOTE (Felix @ Nov 27, 2009 -> 08:40 PM) Fact. Their recent stuff is fairly awful, despite the early stuff being good. I don't think its "fairly awful" so much as "standard rock," and their earlier stuff (first three albums) was amazing. There is Nothing Left to Lose was a real transition from their harder edged good stuff to a slightly more poppy sound.
  10. If I had done my ACTUAL favorite bands based purely on what I like, and not added in cultural relevancy, Foo Fighters would have been #1.
  11. From what I've read he's a late bloomer, and can probably be a solid starter by his junior year. At the very least, I'm happier with him than Williams, so I'll take it.
  12. IU played really well from about 5 minutes left in the first half to about 8 minutes left in the second; outside of that, they were awful. Very out of sync, lots of turnovers, and dreadful from the stripe (16/30). Watford played well again, finishing with 17 and 10, but at times he still looks pretty raw. Elston continues to impress me, as does Creek. I'm still not sure about Hulls -- I think he'll be one of those guys that steadily gets better, and by his junior and senior year will be a 12 points with 5 assists a game sort of guy, with a fair amount of steals and good defense. I also think Bawa can be pretty damn good by his junior or senior year but I haven't seen too much of him. Verdell Jones is also becoming very, very good. Doc Rivers was in attendance. I wonder why.
  13. Yeah, it came out last week Williams wouldn't be signing with IU. I wasn't too worried about it, nor that surprised. The whole thing was kind of odd -- it was absolutely out of nowhere when he committed, and then I barely heard anything about him for a few months, then I heard he had decommitted.
  14. We beat Howard 83-60 the other night, and were led by three freshmen (Elston, Creek, and Watford). Watford should be in the running for Big Ten freshman of the year.
  15. In the order I remember... Baseball player, Baseball GM, sports reporter Then I got mildly more realistic...Demand planner, Business Analyst, things of that ilk Now I want to be a lawyer.
  16. I struggled too much with what I consider "good" music in the sense it did a lot for music in a cultural sense, and what I personally like to listen to. I made my list way too top heavy with bigger names that were important instead my actual favorite people to listen to. Oh well.
  17. Yeah I watched most of the Foo Fighters show, pretty good. I can't wait for them to tour again.
  18. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 04:04 PM) If you find out let me know because I have no idea. All I can recall are the times he's been so very wrong. I remember him being really big on Salvador Sanchez.
  19. I am really, really stoked for the album. I too have also been unearthing some QOTSA in preparation.
  20. I am cautiously optimistic for IU's season. I'm hoping for something like 4-5 big ten wins.
  21. In My Life just came up in my iTunes. Few songs can make me think/feel/reflect like that one.
  22. In my lifetime... 1. 9/11 2. Columbine 3. Princess Diana 4. Obama campaign/election 5. OJ trial
