Best Drunk Poster (The Heads22 Award) Voting

Same. Looks like I'll be heading to the bars several times this week...or perhaps locking myself in a room with a few handles would lead better results. -

Damn. At least we played Illinois well. -
California to vote on full legalization of marijuana

I don't know if I'd call it wasting, when it could be a huge money maker, and is absolutely ridiculous that it's illegal. -
QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 25, 2010 -> 04:47 PM) I met these guys last night at work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_City_Soundtrack Gave them an extra pizza that I had while they were playing cards in my hotel lobby. Never really heard of them. They are actually pretty good, with a melodic pop/punk sound. They just released another album, I need to pick it up.

IU picks up its first Big 10 win on the road in two seasons. Even if it was a winless-in-the-conference Penn State, IU looked decent, and is sitting at 3-3 in the Big Ten. I am pleasantly surprised, especially considering this has all happened without Maurice Creek. -
I had a Blue Hawaiian the other day instead of my traditional Long Island, and I quite enjoyed it.

I hear Motion City Soundtrack released a new album, I'll have to check that out.

QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 07:05 PM) Indiana should also be embarrassed about their fanbase. They just rushed the court after being an unranked team. Great job, f***heads. Yeah, that was stupid. With like 5 minutes left in the second half we noticed that they put up the ropes to hold the crowd back, and we were like, are people really going to rush the court after a game against Minnesota? -
Rockwell's is definitely the best burger I have ever had. I have never had a bad burger there. It's on the northside, on Rockwell, about two blocks south of Lawrence.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 14, 2010 -> 01:29 PM) I believe in energy. Human beings have some sort of resident energy, some might call it a soul. I don't think that vanishes completely when someone dies - the energy goes somewhere. How coherently, I don't know. But I will say, I've had a few experiences where certain places have a certain feel to them, which I attribute to those energies. Beyond that, I just don't know, but I wouldn't outright dismiss the possibility of "ghost". I just don't think I believe in the human apparition type stuff, or physical encounters. My views are somewhat similar to this. I think those "unsettling feelings" and "cold spots" are more energies in familiar locations or times. However, if I ever did see a ghost in human form, and I had no other explanation whatsoever, I could see myself believing in it then, and not outright dismissing it.

I'm just going to go ahead and blame Ronald Reagan for the fact that baseball, and society in general, looks down upon steroid users, but not gamblers or pitchers who doctored the ball. Silly 80s and the war on drugs....

Someone already posted a picture of her, but Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief is the most beautiful I have ever seen any woman, in a film or real life.

What about somewhere like Morton Grove? They have a Metra Line (Milwaukee North I think, it goes into Union), and 94 runs through it (or just next door in Skokie, I can't remember). In good traffic, it's 20 minutes to the loop, tops. In rush hour, probably more like 40 or 45. A quick glance at prices makes it seem like it's in your price range, depending how big of a house you want (it looks like there are some places between 250-300K with anywhere from 1200-2000 sqft). It's a nice town, not really far from anything. If you want night life, Evanston is 10 minutes away, and Chicago is either a quick Metra ride or a not too bad commute on the Edens. It's not a dangerous or crime ridden town, either -- I'd feel safe walking the streets at night.

She is hot. I believe Bones was the one who always had pictures of her in his avatar or sig.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 10:29 AM) I cant believe Evan Turner came back in 4.5 weeks from a 2 fractured vertebrae. IU looked absolutely awful in that game. What was it, 14 turnovers in the first half? It's not like we were going to make much noise with Creek, but watching him not in the lineup is painful -- it's like the rest of the team forgot they are allowed to drive and crash the boards. -
Yeah, I'd be much happier if they had it permanently. I thought this had already started happening, I saw bottles of Pepsi and Mountain throwback at Jewel the other day.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 11:21 PM) That new Taco Bell commercial where the dude asks to order from "Denise" to get the inside deal for 89 cents is ridiculous. No Taco Bell on earth employs two girls remotely that attractive. For some reason I always think they're in a Domino's in that commercial, because of the black shirts. I've never seen a Taco Bell that looks like that.

I'm just grateful that Iowa is bad enough to keep IU from being ranked last in all Big Ten predictions. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 1, 2010 -> 04:10 PM) My vehicle has an automatic setting you can turn on/off that locks/unlocks the door when you put the car into and out of gear. It's a process of holding down random buttons to get it to do that. Might be something like that described in your manual? Yeah, researching that on my manual is on my list of things to do today.

I really, really wanted Northwestern to win that game. Still a great game, though. -
So I locked myself out of my car last night. I started to let it warm up while I scraped off snow and ice, and when I go to get back in, it's locked. I couldn't remember for the life of me even coming close to brushing against the locks. In any case, ended up having to call the police. After many attempts to open the doors somehow, we realized the easiest way was to just get the window open, which worked. Obviously feeling very embarrassed by all this, I felt much better later when I was driving, because apparently my car has started locking of its own accord -- this happened twice last night after I locked myself out. Moral of the story: never leave your second set of keys at school when you come home for break. And don't lock yourself out of your car on New Year's Eve.
