I am finally at a loss for words on what has got to be nothing short of sandlot baseball play by the Sox.
-
The sac bunt after a walk followed by another walk and a bunt sac. The Twinkies trying to show us up again!
-
If this team wins today they should still get their ases kicked. This has got to be one of the poorest displays we have seen all year. Simply unbelievably bad.
-
Where is Ms Heather when you need her?
-
He was probaby asking the Twins how to play aggressive and fundamentally sound baseball.
-
I had just got onto MLB Game day and saw that we had 2 on and nobody out with Crede at bat. All of sudden the runners are gone and we have two outs. WTF is the matter with these guys. I am glad that at least I don't have to hear Hawk talk about Ozzie Ball.
-
We got lulled into a false sense of security and actaully thought we had a tream that could compete with the Twins. They have outplayed this bunch that's for sure. However, I will keep my hopes up that we can rally to win today. I just wish these guys would show some fire.

Hurt, is it on ESPN or WGN?
-
I agree. Team is lifeless and it's all of them not just one area. Pitching and hitting of all sucked the last few games. We need to step up and all they do is fall down. At least I don't have to watch it and listen to Hawk go on about Ozzie Ball. It is a very overused term and seldom seen anymore anyway.

The only good thing about the game and these posts is the fact I can keep checking on evil's chick pic and change my eye focus as he posts and not have to just stare at his first entry. Go Evil! An oh yeah Go Sox
-
It probably won't do anything for the team. They will roll over for the Twins just like they did last Sept. Our offence scored 2 runs yesterday and one so far today so we are going into the usual 5 or 6 game funk and will drop a couple more games behind the Twins.
-
We go for the long one and our pitchers keep giving them up too. If the Sox hitters had the success blasting the ball the way Sox pitchers do in giving up the long ball we would be set.
-
Buerhle giving up 10 hits through 4 after a near no-hitter. What's up with that? Plus I am watching ESPN and they are going on about how stinkin great the Twins are and how they are beating the Sox, who were supposed to be loaded. I am not sure any of these jerks even picked the Sox to be higher than 3rd or 4th this year. But, it is embarassing nonetheless...
-
Not to mention the cat fight over who would get playing time in RF. We have a few to many tomcats there now.
-
I hate to just give up on Schoeneweis, but he has really fizzled since his blistering start to the season. He did have that sore arm earlier and you wonder if that is still somewhat affecting him? Maybe his arm strength isn't there yet? But, Esteban is the one tht needs to buckle down even more. He is still a very good solid pitcher, but needs to change his approach and Ozzie has said it too. I hope we sign Loaiza to a new contract, but at the rate he is going he won't command the kind on money he seems to want.

Booras is the new Yankee agent for Player Development. Beltran goes to the Yankees mark my words, and others I might add. If we trade for Beltran and give up the likes of Crede and Borchard then all we are doing is weakening ourselves big time. You can kiss next year and at least a couple more off before we have talent in place to take over for Joe and other top prospects we will lose. I don't see the big bat being our need anyway. Another starter to take over from Schoenweis, who is rapidly becoming more of a disappointment as the 5th starter and/or a solid middle reliever is what I see this team needing.
-
It certainly is a good feeling isn't it. I hope they can keep it going because right now it doesn't look like the Twinkies are going to go away. It will be a good race, but I sure hope we crush those Creamies. Like Eddie Stanky said in 1967: "their a bunch of cheeseheads."
-
Evil, at this point I will accept anyhting you say because you were kind enough to post the picture of the hot chick you are dating. Thank you! But, I do agree anyway with what you said anout Crede's long swing. Did we not hear that same analysis last year early in the season when he was struggling? He then turned it around in the second half and really got hot.
-
I wish I had seen it. It's the game that should have been on ESPN Wed Night rather than Texas and Anaheim.
-
Vinny Castilla is not an upgrade.
-
Unsound argument. Be a believer man! Really Willie has done well lately taking the walk and getting some solid hits. He has talent and just needs to put it together like some others we have on the team.
-
At the risk of repeating what everybody else is saying, I would keep Crede at 3B for the simple reason that his defense is very strong. He makes a great defensive play that keeps a run or two from scoring and that is like providing an RBI hit on offense. However, maybe a day or two on thebench sitting next to Greg Walker and getting some faterly butt kickin advice might not be a bad idea too.

Plus let me add here that Marte hasn't sucked all year long, but it's tonight we are dealing with. Tomorrow is another game and maybe he will be the star. You just have to let us vent during the game to relieve the stress of being an arm chair manager. OK? I love the Sox!
-
I didn't know he was a family member. I am sorry I offended you.
-
He had a gut feeling but it passed
