Venezualen LL Team
Good lord these kids are good. This Mejas kid...wow. I heard Kenny's out there scouting.

Strange Wily Mo deal...
Fruto looked like a good prospect at one time...nothing special though. Carter is a very solid hitter....very smart. Did Kenny just not want anything to do with Pena? I know he was in the talks for Dye and all....but the Sox could have come up with the equivilent to Fruto in this deal.

Face of the Franchise
BWWWWHAHAAHAAAAAAA.....how the hell did Podsednik's name even come close to that list?!?

To contend next year...
I'm just sick of every other goddamn team in the majors at some point brings some young stud into there system that people go..."wow...he's a pretty good young talent". When is the last time this team brought somebody up...anybody...pitcher, outfielder...anybody who was actually really good. Sure...I'm very happy with Fields and Danks and all...but where the hell are our Ryan Howards, Ryan Brauns...somebody that just lights it up. I honestly wish they would blow this team up...but KW won't. It would be him admitting he failed.

Welcome to last place...
How friggin embarrassing. I'm officially embarrassed of this team now for the first time ever. Thanks Kenny!

Geez-us...pitcher Micah Owings is the S@#t
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=270818115 Micah Owings was the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. He went 4-for-5 with two home runs, four runs and six RBIs and got the win on the mound, allowing three runs on three hits while striking out seven over seven innings. He is the first pitcher with four hits, four runs and six RBIs in the same game.

Is the ozzie bashing getting old?
QUOTE(SEALgep @ Aug 9, 2007 -> 06:34 PM) Everybody's an expert... Really, I don't have anybody in mind who would be better, or who players would want to play for more. I really wish Carlton Fisk had more actual managing/coaching experience. In my perfect world he'd be brought in to replace Walker and be Ozzie's replacement down the road.

Position Switch
Richar was actually a SS when he came up. He'd be a better choice.

Hawk And Stone
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 9, 2007 -> 01:03 PM) Grace is possibly the worst I've heard, I can't even watch Fox broadcasts that he does. I still can't believe he called the White Sox a "National League style ballclub." Bob Brenley is excellent. I'm not a very big fan of Grace in the booth...he sounds like he's still trying to be one of the guys in the clubhouse or something...but Brenley...GOOD LORD...I'd rather listen to Rosanne Barr, Fran Drescher and Rosie O'Donnell debate politics than listen to that putz. He thinks he needs to fill every second of dead air with something.

Hawk And Stone
I'm FINALLY enjoying Sox broadcasts again...even if it is for only a week. I found myself genuinely listening to what Hawk and Stoney were saying instead of the latent blather DJ and Hawk usually have. If they can't lock up Stoney...I'd at least like Black Jack brought in. DJ just absolutely bores me to tears. On a side note: did Hawk actually say "Duck Fart" last night...was that just me that heard that? I coulda swore that's what I heard.

Did Hawk just say "Duck Fart"?!?

Eric Byrnes off the market
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Aug 8, 2007 -> 01:57 AM) Still, all things considered this is probably a solid move by the DBacks. They have some serious young talent on that team.

White Sox vs. Indians, 8/07/07 (L)
I sure wouldn't mind a change in the booth (McDowell). DJ absolutely bores me to tears.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 7, 2007 -> 09:03 PM) Like what? "Don't tell me what a player hits...tell me when he hits it!" "He gawn!" ? Just teasing. But really, he provides insight maybe twice a year for me. I've actually enjoyed Hawk today for once. Maybe it's the fact he's teamed with somebody that's actually good.

Carlos Quentin on the block?
I hate to say this...but Quentin sure does remind me of Terrero when he was with the DBacks (vaunted prospect).

My off-season plan(and it stays within budget)
QUOTE(whitesox61382 @ Aug 7, 2007 -> 05:57 PM) Here is how the lineup/roster would look: C AJ DH Thome 1B Konerko 2B Richar SS Cintron? Gonzalez? Ozuna(playing 2B with Richar moving to SS)? 3B Crede LF Fields CF Rowand RF Dye If we go into next season with Cintron as our everyday SS...there's gonna be a lot of broken s*** in my house!!!!!!!!!!!!

My off-season plan(and it stays within budget)
If Garland goes...I really hope somehow Kenny can snag Wladimir from Seattle.

Kenny's Wood Wagon...
Was having a discussion with somebody about the Tejada claim and they said it was mere bs from KW...I disagreed. My point was hasn't Kenny had wood for Tejada for quite some time...prelim discusssions last year. Same with Javy....got him. He was in love with Thome...got him. And always loved Ersty....and tried to trade for him a few years back. What guys out there now has Kenny been enamored with that we can expect him to go after this off season.

An article to feel good about...
Haven't the Sox usually gone on nice stretches at the end of the year when they're out of it? I'll take it. One thing...and let me preface this by saying I couldn't give a s*** less about the Cubs...but I do have a C-note riding on overall records...and up to this point been having to hear this putz gloat...until I nicely said for all your crap talkin' and gloating...there's only a six game difference right now (and no Alfie....).

Eric Byrnes off the market
While I'd have loved to seen Byrnes on the Sox (I wanted that post Rowand)...I think it's a tad much. I actually think this was somewhat of a PR move by Arizona as well. He's easily their most popular player as well as one of the most productive. Their PR move of bringing back Randy Johnson didn't work out to well...and they caught a boatload of public crap for the handling of Luis Gonzalez. Crowded outfield.

White Sox Winner!
QUOTE(max power @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 01:41 PM) I think pods has always been capable of making some great plays, and has in the past. Its makes it very frustrating when he botches easy ones. As long as it entails not having to throw the ball.

Interesting...
QUOTE(RME JICO @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 11:01 PM) So basically there is a 99.999999% chance that the Sox will not make the playoffs. So...yer tellin me there's a chance......YEAH

White Sox Winner!
QUOTE(briguy27 @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 10:57 PM) I hate those 2 guys. I actually found them pretty refreshing and easy to listen to...without all the metaphoric banter and rhetoric.
