I'm right there with you on Micker. He's a diamond in the rough and honestly he could be a Soler type guy in a few years IMO. Seems like he's been around forever...but he's still young.

Yolmer was great in his time here...but he's a utility guy who was forced to be an everyday player. If you have a choice between Yolmer and Leury...it's a no-brainer you take Leury. We're not paying a utility guy 6.2M regardless of "how fun" he is. I wish Yolmer the best. That being said...he's an upgrade to anything the Cubs trotted out there this year at 2B and wouldn't cost them any specs or players. Wouldn't surprise me is he ends up a Cub.

If Giolito insists on McCann...that's cool...but I think Grandal can be a great resource for Cease to get better. It's amazing what a great framer can do...especially for a pitcher looking to take that next step.

Especially to these young guys like Yoan, Eloy and Robert this next year. Abreu wants to be here so I imagine he'd give a home town discount to stay on a 3 year deal. I have zero problems with it.

The Sox aren't giving up Vaughn...or Madrigal. They've waited this long for their home grown talent...not to just flip them for somebody who's no guarantee to resign. That sting of Tatis Jr is still probably pretty fresh head too I'm sure.

I don't think Leury is going anywhere...leaves Yolmer and Engel on the outside looking in IMO. As much as I love Yolmer...Mendick deserves his shot and saves money too. As for signing Wheeler (based on other posts)...I'm not against it...but not thrilled if it would cost a high pick. Cole and Bumgarner are pipe dreams IMO. I just read a article about the Rockies owner whining about his payroll and money. Reach out and see what it'd take to pry Jon Gray away from them. He has to pay Trevor Story, David Dahl, Oberg and Gray arbitration this year. See what'd take...
