QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 09:01 PM) Trade talks ended. I don't think the Wolves talks are dead yet...that's just my 2¢ tho.

Nice! I need to get out there and watch...thanks for posting. I've pitched off that/those mounds...for years...at Peoria Sports Complex practice fields...up to a few years ago. Not that anybody gives two craps. Wonder if he'll end up on the Fall League roster?....

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 10:35 PM) Eric Bledsoe is a stud if he can stay healthy. yeah...IF. I really don't think he wanted to stay here in Phx...but Suns caved and gave him the most quiche in his RFA year. And like SouthSide mentioned it was the Wolves that offered him. I wouldn't build my backcourt around him...
-
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 09:20 PM) Suns get him. Lots of good value picks to start the 2nd. lol...geezus christ. The Suns throw more s*** against the wall with PGs every year hoping something sticks...and in the meantime trade the best one they had in Dragic. They have Bledsoe...sign Isaiah Thomas when they have Brandon Knight...and trade Dragic...not to mention Marshall from NC they drafted. Then draft Ennis...Harrison...and now Ulis. This is one f***ed up franchise...and l live here.

David Haugh @DavidHaugh 2h2 hours ago As @KCJHoop reports if Wolves-Bulls still talking trade of Butler, can't imagine Thibs passing on chance to coach All-Star he helped create. I dunno...still wouldn't discount this. Not that I'm enamored with what David Haugh thinks tho. A lot of these NBA deals occur after the draft.....

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 08:17 PM) I think it tells me what had been reported a week ago that franchise was building around him and that he was privy to what was going on looks to be more true and whatever leaks were from other organizations. In sure bulls would listen though why wouldn't you. Get blown away and make the move. We were dealing from the position of strength. Hmmmm...maybe...but not really sure why or how the Bulls suddenly have decided to "consult" Butler on any moves? Are the really that tied to him to the affect of having him in the war room to "consult" with him? Not buying it. Not sure it's a position of strength...what strength? I don't know...Wiggins and Dunn would blow me away...plus there would be a ton of cap room.
-
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 09:00 PM) Giving up Valentine? And its not a win/win. Dunn/Wiggins are no sure thing. Wiggins has a lot of upside, but his greatness isnt guaranteed. Butler is the most valuable asset that the Bulls have, if they are going to trade him they need to win the trade easily. Giving up Valentine makes no sense in that respect. The whole point of Dunn/wiggins is you are getting 2 guys for 1 and that makes the risk less high because you hope that at least 1 of them turns into an All-Star. If you give up 2 players for 2 players and you are giving up the best player in the trade who is still in his prime and signed for a reasonable rate, you are unlikely to come out the winner. It's called rebuilding...with Wiggins being the main centerpiece. Dunn will be a better PG option than Valentine too IMO...plays MUCH better D too. Do they even view him as a PG?...doubtful. Wiggins is a superstar in the making...if you get a chance to get him AND a PG of Dunn's caliber...you do it. Of course that's just my 2¢...

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 08:52 PM) Why else would he be at the Advocate Center... He lives/works out in LA... You're the one that said the rumors were BS since he was in the war room. If he's actually there it would tell me he's being traded more than that he wasn't. He's a player...not a GM...not a coach...and not an advisor.
-
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 08:49 PM) Why are the Bulls having to give up more? If the Wolves want Butler, they can over pay. If they dont want to overpay the Bulls can wait until another team is willing to. More? Not sure what you mean by more? That deal is a win win for the Bulls future IMO...
-
lol...so Jimmy Butler is now elevated to War Room status?!? Geezus...damn...Marky Mark must really have some pull.
-
QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 08:47 PM) Lol, whelp: K.C. JohnsonVerified account @KCJHoop Jimmy Butler is at the Advocate Center, the Bulls' draft headquarters. So all of those rumors were BS basically. that means nothing...
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 08:46 PM) ESPN sources say Wolves haven't surrendered their Jimmy Butler quest, but longer this night goes suggests Bulls can't bear to part with him Wiggins or bust this

Butler and Valentine to Thibs for Wiggins and Dunn (and whatever filler is needed) makes a ton of sense.......

June 23rd Game Thread: White Sox @ Red Sox 12:35pm CT

QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 04:35 PM) The only consistent thing about the Sox is the inconsistency. Pitch well...can't score. Score runs...can't pitch for s***. But in reality when you twice have the bases loaded and nobody out and don't score, you're begging to get beat...and they did. Robin better hope the starters go deep this weekend. Bullpen is blown out and is a mess. Albers simply has lost it. Astonishing how far he fallen in two months and that contract extension Kenny Hahn gave Jones isn't looking great right now either. Speaking of Kenny Hahn, Robin gets a lot of crap (deservedly so) but he really doesn't have any type of bench to go to. Sox may have the worst in the league, Kenny Hahn didn't give him a lot of depth have they? Three out of four is nice but it also would have been nice to get back to the living and over .500. Mark this...pissing away a game like this is pretty much a microcosm of this season. If you can't score with bases loaded an nobody out not once...but TWICE ...that's pathetic. Not sure what else I would have done different today if I was Robin...besides yanking Shields after he opened the inning walking Ortiz (even tho he got squeezed). How many games has this team literally pissed away this year?... -

god are the bosox announcers whiners...geezus. -
I can't image the Hawks trading Crawford...and expect to compete for a Cup with Darling?!? Nogga Nogga Noggahappen! I can see trading Shaw...Kruger or whoever...but not Crow. I know this is hindsight...but did they really need to pay Toews and Kane 10M per year at the time?....you don't think 8 would have done it? Regardless...I'm glad both are Hawks. I'll admit my dirty little secret tho...and for as much as I ABSOLUTELY HATE this player...I wish he was on the Hawks. God...this is like kissing Hitler for me...but I wish Milan Lucic was on the Hawks! There...I said it. I need to go wash my mouth out now and gargle...

QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 22, 2016 -> 03:30 PM) Yeah I listened too and he sure didn't go full blown "we are committed to Jimmy" by any stretch of the imagination. My bet is that Jimmy is gone too and I am not sure it will be for the haul that Bulls fans want. It may be for a high first and a throw in and they take their lumps. Rose had to go...he was going to walk next year anyway. But you still have the disconnect between Butler and Hoiberg...and Fred ain't goin' anywhere! If somebody wants to give up a top 3 pick this year...or Wiggins would be a win-win IMO...I'd do it. I love Jimmy's game..but it seems like his bromance with Marky Mark has kinda turned him into a little diva. Of course wtf do I know...I don't know him personally...

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 07:03 PM) Yordano Ventura continues to be a scum bag. Throws at Machado. Clearly intentional. that little b**** wouldn't do this crap in the NL. Wish Machado would have knocked his punkass out. Royals have honestly become the team I hate the most the past few year. If they don't suspend him for a few weeks...I'll have zero respect for the MLB front office. He can't continue to get away with this crap.....

yeah...it's time Sandy Alomar gets a shot. This clearly ain't working. Didn't scour the game thread or anything...but looked at the lineup and said W.T.F. is Coats batting 2nd for?....geezus. Some or most may disagree....but I really can't see plugging him into the 2 hole a day after being brought up...then taken out for a noggin knock...and then stick him in the 2 hole against Verlander. I'm not that keen or Martinez for some reason. I'd like to see Renteria get a shot to finish out the season and see what he can do....but some type of hammer needs to be thrown down...soon or this will be another lost season.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2016 -> 05:56 PM) Toews, Kane, and Keith revitalized the Blackhawks. Yeah...but it wasn't until the old man died and Rocky took over that they actually had some competence in the organization. And what was one of the first things he did?...canned Savard as HC and brought in Quenneville. We're at that crossroad. Robin is Denis Savard....he needs to go. -

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 28, 2016 -> 04:56 PM) Can't believe they let this snowball after the Texas game. This team is full of mental midgets. Starts with Robin. this. That Ranger game was just the beginning. I thought Ventura had turned the corner...but obviously he's part of the problem. Get his ass the f@#$ outta here!....completely done after this game. Can't believe how pissed off I am over a GD baseball game right now....geezus.
