  1. lol @ intentional balk
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 6, 2012 -> 02:02 PM) Maybe throwing at BP speed is under the "hitting speed" and fooling the Tigers hitters. He's struggling to get the ball past 89 today. Weird. He was always 90+ starting for us last year and would even mix in a few at 94. Scouting reports said when he came out of the bullpen in the minors he was at 95-96...I'd like to see that. On the bright side, his ball is moving quite a bit today when he locates it.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2012 -> 02:00 PM) Makes you wonder how in the world he was ever a high prospect? Probably has something to do with how he used to be throwing 5+ mph harder??
  4. Stewart needs to see a doctor. No velocity.
  5. Rios CAN NOT get doubled up on that ball
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:54 PM) Porcello's just kicked our ass this season. He's pitching his ass off, it's going to take some good/lucky offense to beat him
  7. QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:52 PM) Axelrod probably is guarantted one more start with the DH tomorrow. I think I'd rather seee Stewart though. I really wish Stewart was starting in AAA right now. He's a sinker-first guy and that's just wasted in the bullpen. He seems to even have lost velo in the bullpen, which doesn't make sense.
  8. Watson finally contributing a little bit
  9. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:49 PM) Yea we talk about the pitching but we all know it's the hitting letting us down. Right. I think it should be reasonable to expect Axelrod to pitch well enough that we win whenever the offense shows up. OHMAN!
  10. I hope Tyler will actually go to his knees to stop the next low pitch.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:46 PM) Wow, this game is really dragging...almost 100 pitches for Axelrod in less than 5 IP. Don't expect that kind of pitch count from a control pitcher. Needed Dylan to go six innings there....one of the first early hooks of the season by Ventura. I expect him to do better when he has a better routine instead of getting called up for sporadic relief appearances before finally getting a start. Would be nice if he faced an easier lineup too, lol.
  12. I think Axelrod may be capable of holding down the 5 spot.
  13. Boozer got f***ing hacked
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:43 PM) Nice job by Ventura of pulling him already. The only reason I second guess it for a minute is the guy coming in.
  15. uh oh. I don't want to see Ohman.
  16. f*** Spencer Hawes
  17. Thank you Prince!
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) Why in the hell are you throwing 0-2 fastballs to Miguel Cabrera? What Stone said, gotta be in off the plate there.
  19. Not a good start.
  20. I don't think Lillibridge knew that first pitch was offspeed when he swung at it.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:36 PM) Hit a homer Lillibridge I'm ready for the return of Lillibomb
  22. I can't even imagine Hawk trying to use an iPad without supervision.
  23. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:30 PM) i know. i want my baseball players to be at least decent looking. Inexplicable but true
  24. Got away with one there, but overall Axelrod's done pretty well today. I'm pleased, he is beyond his years. Weird looking face though
