  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 07:51 PM) I don't agree with pitching Dotel this game. I know blowouts are the only games you can really trust him in now, but I really think his problem is he's gassed. He's made more appearances this year than he has in a long time. He needs rest if anything in an attempt to regain his form. I disagree that this was the wrong choice. I think being tired has factored into his poor performance, but tonight was a good low pressure situation to work on his stuff. He made strides in his last outing in that he did throw some offspeed for strikes, and tonight he put it all together and didn't make the big miss while still locating the curveball. He has something to build off of for when we throw him in the fire with a tight 8th inning lead now.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) You should be fine, its your mom's father that is usually the indicator, although it could of skipped him. And some of the newer transplants are done in such a way that they are very unnoticeable. You'd think I have a good chance, but my hair is very similar to how my dad's was when he actually had it. I'm banking on some good advances in hair replacement over the next 10 years.

    QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 04:12 PM) What's the Paris Hilton/marlin connection? It popped in my head for some reason, so I posted it wondering if anyone would question it.
  5. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 03:43 PM) You pretty much named the player right there... edit: well one out of a possible 3 at least I don't feel like thinking about it.
  6. I've always thought that if it got bad I could get a transplant. I sure hope they work. My dad is bald on top, but his brother and father isn't. My mom's father also had a full head of brown hair till he died at age 75. I don't know what is in store for me.
  7. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 03:25 PM) That's rich. If Dye gets the night off, three of Owens, Swisher, Wise or Griffey will be out there. Anderson is the 5th option. Anderson >>> Owens and Swisher.
  8. I've heard from scouts that baseball pedigree is absolutely considered and may even bump you up several rounds. Knowing that in your genes is major league talent makes a difference to their projections.
  9. Come on, I thought Clayton's gold digging there was priceless.
  10. "Clayton is thinking about something there but it ain't pitching."
  11. I also have this thing that yells "message b****!" for messages.
  12. I thought this was going to be "did anyone catch the phone number to call for ShamWow?"
  13. I remember Jon Garland seemingly always started on the U for a while. I hardly ever saw him pitch one year.
  14. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 07:02 PM) I can't. No WCIU in central Il. Which is just asinine.
