  1. This is the one you have to use.
  2. QUOTE(Wedge @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 10:16 AM) how totally prophetic. Why thank you! This gave me a nice little confidence boost today. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but, TOOT-TOOT!
  3. Congrats Queeine! I got you guys a bread maker.
  4. Begs the question: Does a knuckleballer really have a future in this organization? Last time I checked, we don't exactly play in Turner Field.
  5. Yes, we know you're not a Carl fan SnB. I do NOT envy Kenny Williams this off-season. I'm one of those guys that would love to see this team brough back in its entirety. But, that's just not the way you play the game. Baseball is a business first and if we want to see our now defending World Champion Chicago White Sox back in a parade next season, there are going to have to be some changes made. Namely, getting a concrete name to write in the DH position everyday. Thanks for your part in helping to bring a World Series to the city of Chicago, Carl, see you later. He gone.
  6. Ultimate Team Effort. I will never forget this season for as long as I live. Thank You, White Sox.
  7. Thanks to all those who joined the inaugural BandVangon. Although I'm still not exactly sure what we accomplished, combined with the almighty Rally Crede, we found something to rally around in the midst of a pretty heated division hunt. Except for that one time we got lost in Nebraska, I'd say that was a pretty successful Maiden Voyage. Will the BandVangon retire on top? ...only time will tell. Soxtalk...Yes, indeed. ...I'm still waiting for this to all sink in.
  8. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) I really, really don't want to clean this up... Let's just do it all again tonight.
  9. That was just so incredible. I'm sure we'll be posting more of our stories a bit later. Hey, someone has to track down his camera today, so either shoot me a PM or catch me on AIM. It was awesome, guys.
  10. Since when does Guardado save slapshots?
  11. When the Sasuage King speaks, you listen.
  12. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) LOLOL i had literally just realized that too, but I didn't want to pile on Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'll see myself out now.
  13. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) technically speaking, the piano is a percussion instrument. And f***. I was thinking We will rock you. Ugh. This cramming is not recommended.
  14. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) technically speaking, the piano is a percussion instrument. Touche. Ok, I officialy propose "I Want It All" as tonight's anthem. Because, damnit, I want it all and I want it NOW.
  15. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 10:32 AM) HUGE Queen fan here. Grew up on them, they were my first "obsession" in the music world, used to do "air guitar" (with a real guitar though) and think I was Brian May all the time. But honestly, I detest that f***ing song. It bugs me that is the song everybody plays by them. Terrible friggin' song. There, after all these 30 years, I can finally admit that. Phew...I feel better now. Interesting tidbit: there is not one piece of true percussion in that song. What you hear is just random stomping and clapping made by the members of the group--I believe in a warehouse or something like that. EDIT: Also, agreed. Give me "Killer Queen" "A Kind of Magic" "I Want to Break Free", or even something like "I Want It All." Sorry, though, love Rhapsody.
  16. Unfortunately, Philly, I'm not. But, I just wanted to take this opportunity to mention how freaking cool it is to see so many Sox fans from around the country crawl out from the woodwork. I can't count how many threads we've had from people around the country looking for fellow Sox fans to enjoy the final outs of a White Sox World Series together. It's just absolutely awesome to see. Good luck. You're in the right place.
  17. Hell, I wasn't even born during Da Bears SB season, so I can't speak to that question. But, I promise you if Ozzie Guillen brings a World Championship to the city of Chicago, he is immediately cast into the upper-stratosphere of Chicago sports legends. He'll find himself amongst the likes of Michael Jordan, Mike Ditka, Walter Payton, etc. in no time. The city will forever love him for it, much like our adoration of Mike Ditka.
  18. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 09:29 AM) That's nothing more than desperation talking. They are grasping on to any straw they can. However, the bottom line is that the Chicago White Sox are going to be the 2005 World Champions and the Cubs are going to be, well, the Cubs. IN DUSTY WE TRUSTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eat your f***ing heart out, Cubs fans. Then....go eat Dusty Baker's head. :fthecubs :fthecubs
  19. We are witnessing something very, very special here, gang. Today will be the longest day of my life...seconds become minutes, minutes become hours, hours become days. Get those brooms out of the closet and put the bubbily on ice. Prepare for history.
  20. Brandmeier got realllllll trashy at the end. Like, almost Stern-trashy. Hopefully, he'll stay away from that this time around. I'd still take Kevin Matthews over Johnny B.
