  1. Well I doubt a band could get away with calling themselves "The Metallica".
  2. I think it would matter whether the runner or base was tagged. If the runner was tagged the runs counts, if the base was tagged it shouldn't.
  3. QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 07:47 AM) I can see giving a guy time to work things out but JD is not even producing at a Brian Anderson level yet he's still in the 3hole. If it was week, or two, maybe 3, but it's going on 2 months. You have to try someone different there. Thome's not a high average hitter so, with basically no #3 hitter, you're wasting the top of the lineup when they get on base. I don't think Rios is a 3 hitter but i'd be willing to give him or Quentin a shot. PK is swinging well again, try him there. Actually, the ballsy move wouold be to move Alexei or AJ(Getz when he's back) to the 2 hole and drop Beckham to 3. Are you saying Ozzie may be too complacent?
  4. Enos the series actually lasted 18 episodes.
  5. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 22, 2009 -> 09:37 PM) The Phillies just beat the Mets and I'm looking at the box score. The Mets used 7 different pitchers. Tim Redding pitched 5 scoreless innings and was taken out. Pat Misch came in the 6th and gave up 2 runs and ended up taking the loss. What I don't understand is mlb.com also counts as a Blown Save along with a Loss. I don't get how it could be a blown save when you can only pitch a maximum of 3 innings to earn a save. Seems to me that the 6th inning is too early to register a blown save. I don't think that maximum of 3 innings pitched is correct.
  6. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Aug 21, 2009 -> 04:18 PM) I remember that. I was in the car and listening to it on the radio. It was LOL funny. It was my buddy's birthday and we were drinking some beers before going out for the night. We were kind of buzzed and just laughed hysterically every time they replayed it.
  7. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Aug 21, 2009 -> 04:06 PM) Hey I'm transferring to SIU-C and I know a couple of soxtalkers either go there now or have in the past. So, just asking anything I should know before heading down there and what are the good hang out places, bars, etc. You should go to PK's tomorrow night. Two good bands playing there. The Cellar used to show all the Sox games, but I don't know about now.
  8. Does anybody remember the Sox game in fall of (I think) '96 when a ball was fouled off home plate and up into the ump's crotch? It delayed the game for about 30 minutes and they just kept showing it over and over.
  9. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 12:03 AM) Thx man! Will you see it?? Yes, I am excited to see it, but it doesn't come around here until Sept. 18.
  10. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 10:05 PM) Is 'It Might Get Loud' playing anywhere near you guys? Came out on the 12th in limited theaters, but where the hell is it playing?? I CANNOT wait to see it. It is only in LA and NY right now. These are the release dates for other cities: http://www.sonyclassics.com/itmightgetloud/dates.html
  11. QUOTE (WCSox @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 09:18 PM) I find it somewhat difficult to believe that Wagner may have been put on waivers two weeks ago, but it wasn't leaked until now. My guess is that Minaya held him back and hoped that he'd progress in his rehab stints to the point where he'd have some trade value. Well supposedly almost every player gets placed on waivers, so it really would not be newsworthy unless he was claimed.
  12. Will he pitch in the Majors this season?

  14. No way I'm getting caught up in this game again.
