  1. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:41 PM) The entire demise of the Bears season is defense related. While the offense isn't great, it hasn't lost as many games as the defense. Ogunleye and Vasher can go with their huge overpayed contracts. Tillman would be first on the defensive list along with Urlacher.
  2. Well the Vikings gave the Bears their chance and Bears didn't take it.
  3. Wow. I've never seen an announcer so happy in my life. Looks like it won't be a fumble.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:27 PM) Radio announcers bashing Orton for not running for an easy first down. He really should have ran on that play. Maybe he thought if he threw for the first down, he would get a call on Brandon Lloyd for contact.
  5. Orton looks terribly in accurate today, but the refs look terrible as well.
  6. I think Vikings win. Giants won't risk their main guys getting injured. It's not worth it.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 11:27 AM) So it was Babich's fault that Orton threw 3 INT's in Minnesota? Babich's fault that Orton was terrible in Minnesota? Babich's fault that Tillman decided to fight a guy on 4th down in OT vs Tampa? Babich's fault Olsen fumbled twice in Carolina? Or was it Babich's fault that Lovie squibbed with 11 seconds to go in Atlanta? It was Babich's scheme that put the Bears in very bad situations.
  8. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 11:24 AM) Actually I'd disagree with that. Hedo Turkoglu was one of the best clutch players in the league last season, and he's usually the guy down the stretch who we look for, because Dwight's not good enough at the line. I think we match up well with the Cavs and Celts at the PG (Nelson is a wash with Rondo and Williams IMO), and have the edge in the frontcourt. Turkoglu did it for one season. What they need is a Chris Paul type(preferably from last year) or a Tony Parker where he will constantely get to the lane and create for someone else and if not, take a shot for himself. In other words, they need someone who can create. Turkoglu is a nice underrated player, but he isn't that guy.
  9. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Dec 27, 2008 -> 03:42 PM) I have two winter classic tickets that im looking to unload for face value. Let me know if interested. How much and where are the seats?
  10. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 27, 2008 -> 08:03 PM) I do too, but not as much as I used to. I'm paranoid about getting caught since two of my friends were both sued by the RIAA. So now, I only download songs I really like. That stinks considering the RIAA is no longer going to file lawsuits from what I have read.
  11. I really don't watch Will Smith movies, but I would say Pursuit of Happiness was really good. It's true that alot of his movies aren't that great at all. I like that he's starting to go after more serious roles though like Seven Pounds. He's going to hit with at least one of them.
  12. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 08:51 PM) Crede has been hurt, with the same back injury, 4 straight years. He missed a few weeks in 2005, he was playing hurt down the stretch in 2006, missed most of 2007, and missed half of 2008. It's a pretty similar situation quite honestly. No it really is not. There's a difference between playing banged up and not being able to play at all. If Brown was able to play, there wouldn't be a problem, but he's not. He's injured a lot more without being able to play. A lot of guys play with injuries in all sports throughout the season, the difference is the ones who can't play through injuries because they are too severe. Crede missed a couple of games in '05, still played in '06, was injured 2007. In 2008, he played great while still being injured and missed half the season because he followed the advice of his agent instead of a doctor. He gambled and lost. His injury problems were based on stupidity, Brown's problems are not. He's injury prone, which to mean, is hurt to the point to where he can't play and that's happened for most of his career. And it's with different injuries which is the biggest difference. He'll tear this, break something else, then tear something else.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 27, 2008 -> 12:59 AM) Well, obviously they're different teams in the literal sense, but outside of Dwight, they, like the Bulls, are just a jump shooting team with no real big man presence which regularly plays a small lineup. My God, Rose/Pietrus/Lewis/Hedo/Howard would be incredible... I was thinking more in the lines of a Chris Paul. Rose may be great in the future and he shows signs, but he's not there.
  14. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 08:26 PM) I got an Xbox 360, some new shoes, and Dexter season 2. Dexter Season 2 is a great one. Which reminds me, I gotta catch up on Season 3.
  15. QUOTE (rangercal @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 07:51 PM) It's kinda like the sox with Joe Crede Not really. Joe has been injured the past two years with the same injury. He's not injury prone, he has just taken bad advice from his agent. Call him stupid, but it's not nearly the same situation. Brown has been injured numerous times in the past and I believe this is the first time in a while he has even played 15 games.
  16. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 03:57 PM) That is nuts!
  17. QUOTE (Texsox @ Dec 25, 2008 -> 01:34 AM) Wow, a white guy driving an F-150 in Texas. s***, that's half the state. The other half has a real truck. A F-250 or F-350 So where does that leave a man driving a Toyota Tacoma?
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 03:24 PM) I think everybody knows Orlando is clearly the 3rd best team in the East right now, which is respect enough because the East is the better conference thusfar this season. The problem is Boston and Cleveland (especially Boston) are put on a different level than everybody else, including even Orlando. I think the difference between those teams is that they have guys that can finish out games. Orlando really has no one that you know, each time out can impose their will for key baskets. They don't have a Pierce, a Kobe, a LeBron who you want to give the ball to each time out to make something happen. LeBron at least will get you a good look, though he won't take it himself unless it's a wide open layup. That's why, to me at least, Boston is the class of the East and everyone else is a pretender. LeBron's team is not as good as they are playing right now and I have a feeling they will be exposed once again. The teams that matter IMO are the Celtics, Lakers, Rockets(if healthy) and the Magic if Dwight develops even further.
  19. Bwahahaha, Mike Brown was placed on injury reserve....again. I don't wish a man any injury, but it's funny that it has happened again to the Bears. I've never seen a team so patient with a player and injuries before.
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 09:15 PM) I expected it, and why not? The guy was a machine and had me breathless everytime he touched it. Last night, he did the same when he almost broke one. And that was Dante Hall, and D'Angelo Hall. Sorry, I was thinking about the disastrous overrated CB who robbed the Raiders. But yes, Dante is the one I was looking for.
  21. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 08:47 PM) Just using the stats you thought made Gordon an outstanding defender. He's looking great tonight, isn't he? Much better than Rose or anyone else on this team might I add. I forgot though, one game makes a season. DOUBLE SMH AT YOU!
  22. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 08:41 PM) I think it's fairly obvious who here has the problems. Gotta love that 21 points/48 he's allowing and the 16.2 PER. All-Star caliber defender. PER IS NOT THE END ALL BE ALL LULZ! And I said the defensive part in jest actually.
