Los Angeles @ Chicago - ALCS Game 1
I heard that Colon is off the ALCS playoff roster.

Los Angeles @ Chicago - ALCS Game 1
We have to win these first 2 games while their pitching is depleted. They'll be throwing out their worst. A split in Chicago is a loss.

Oh snap
Guess I can't depend on printing those WS tickets.

Angels Fans
Um, we have the Rally Crede and we handed out thundersticks for Game 2 IIRC.

Colon Gone
Exactly what I said I was hoping for. Pitchers being used up. As far as Washburn, I'm pretty sure they said he isn't with the team because of his infection.

Who will win the NFC North?
I think the Vikings still will end up winning it.

ALCS Game 2 question
I believe it's the same time as Game 1.

World Series Tickets
They'll probably go on sale a week from Thursday.

Jermaine Dye to 1B
QUOTE(SoxRock192 @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) Still, why would Dye be 1B anyway If we are unable to keep PK or feel he's too expensive for our tastes, then Dye to 1B is a realistic option. Dye doesn't have the range he used to in the OF anymore because of his leg. Dye at 1B though has the strong arm and not as much as area to cover(about 1/4th if that of the OF). Plus he's taller(which is a plus) and gets good reads off the ball. Last but not least, it's easier to find an OF replacement than a 1B(offensively).

Jermaine Dye to 1B
Playing 1B is one of the easiest things you could do unless you're a pitcher. I don't know why people think it would be such a shaky move. I would go as far as saying that Dye would have more range at 1B than PK. I'm not saying I want Konerko gone, but if he's in bigtime demand, Dye to 1B isn't so far fetched.

ALCS Roster announced
I would switch Garland and Buehrle honestly. I rather have the sinkerball go at home and Buehrle go on the road which would be a bigger ballpark.

Another Chi. sportswriter doesn't get it
Haha, good s***. Whatever works for the team is fine by me.

Manny Ramirez
QUOTE(redsoxjamie @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) For the record, I'm not a he, I'm a she. And the "hate" here is nothing compared to some of the vitriol spewed on SoSH. Sowwy mam.

The Paul-eee chant
QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) an active crowd > a non active crowd. i love stuff like that, it's better than the wave or something that has nothign to do with the game. Agreed.

Bandwagon Jumpers
QUOTE(MinnySoxFan @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) I don't have a huge problem with bandwagoners. If they want to hop on, go ahead. Don't worry. We're never going to turn into the SAUX or the Cubbies. The bandwagoners just have to know that it will be more fun and mean more to the rest of us than it does to them. That's all. Otherwise, hop on board. Give us money. And support this awesome awesome team. Go Sox. I agree strongly with this. Great post.

The Paul-eee chant
QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) I love it - its a way of recognition to our best bat. "Paul-ie Paulie" just gets the intensity going in a big-at-bat However - some1 on this board said something that usually when the paulie chant erose's - then paulie ends up getting out - im not sure if thats true all the time or not, but that wud suck if it had something mentally wrong with paulie and made him try to hard lol That would be me. And because of that, I hate the chant. I've only seen him be successfull with that chant going on 3 times(and that was this year while in the chat).

Manny Ramirez
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 12:13 PM) Much as people bash Konerko I think he's proven himself many times over in the second half and so far in the playoffs. f*** this s***bag Ramirez.......let the Spankees have him. Let's not get crazy here Nuke. Manny on the White Sox would automatically be the best hitter on our team as soon as he joined(though that will probably never happen).

Manny Ramirez
Yep, if it wasn't for Boras(who he'll prolly hire) I think he would fit in with the latin clubhouse and he'd help keep everyone at ease. I don't think Manny's personality would be any problem really. I mean Ozzie would tell him like it is and Manny knows by now what type of team we are. Boras would be a huge problem however. Oh yeah, don't hate on redsoxjamie. He isn't so bad. He's like benchwarmerjim.

Yanks or Angels
QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) Angels bullpen > Yankees bullpen Top 2 vs Top 2, I'd take the Yanks. Rivera + Gordon >> F-Rod + Shields. I'm not worried about bullpen guys overall, I'm worried about getting shut down by a great closer. Look what Lidge did in the playoffs last year as the only bullpen option.

Yanks or Angels
Angels. Yanks have the overall lineup and Mariano Rivera. K-Rod
