  1. I haven't found one.
  2. Nope, the other game is the Astros vs Mets according to my Yahoo TV Guide.
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 07:36 AM) They talked during the spring about wanting to get Damaso to bust the lefties in on the hands a little more. Also you could tell either his release point was bad, or he wasn't following through properly as he was leaving a lot of pitches up. It didn't sound like that yesterday, but I only listened on the radio too FWIW. Yeah, that's been his problem. Releasing too early and no follow throughs. Hopefully he could get it down.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 07:18 AM) Offensive is the key word too... As a team the Sox are hitting through 7 games. .239 ba .268 obp .387 slg .654 ops 3.86 runs/g With RISP .175 ba .208 obp .408 ops 1 extra base hit 12k's vs 7 hits And yet this team is 5-2. Does anyone venture to guess where this team would have been last year recordwise? 1-6 or MAYBE 2-5??? I don't know. Considering the quality of our pitching is better than that of last year's, I'd say around the same if not one game better. We'd have Carlos and Maggs producing right now. I'm still happy with this team though.
  5. Just in case no one heard, Jon Scheyer of Glenbrook North has cut down his choices to two teams, the Illini and Duke. Hopefully he'll decide the Illini so we could have a great scorer and shooter.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 11:40 PM) Yeah but the thing about this team is their good... and they are extremely young... last time i checked young kids get better so we should improve by just keeping this team together. Exactly. Which is why I agree with Pax on this one and try to keep the team together. They lost in overtime by 1 point against the defending world champs without our best 2 players(IMO). That's a pretty damn good showing for a young team.
  7. QUOTE(Butter Parque @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 06:53 AM) But if the Yankees game is blacked out, then their gonna show the White Sox game? I don't think so. I think it's supposed to be either a Reds or Mets game.
  8. ESPN is showing all 3 games of the Boston/New York game and other regional games that I don't think apply to us.
  9. The thing that worries me about Marte is that he's not following through on all his pitches. It just seems to me that he releases them too early or doesn't try to throw harder when he definately can so he doesn't get the pitch exactly where he wants it.
  10. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) I definately want to keep the core of Kirk, Ben, Luol, Eddy, and Tyson. It would be nice to keep noc and Duhon also. They'll be able to keep Noc and Duhon too.
  11. Put me in. Hell, I'm the leader of Crede's Crew. If anyone else wants in, just send me a PM.
  12. QUOTE(Butter Parque @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 08:20 AM) I was editing the Sox players and found some pretty accurate changes. I changed Juan Uribe's stance to classic 3 (I think) I changed Vizcaino motion form side-arm to over hand. I changed Freddy Garcia's motion to the one where there is a hesitation before he releases the ball, I'll post the exact one later. It pretty much resembles Freddy'e motion. I changed Willie's stance to croutched. its almost exact. I still don't know why they don't have Garland's sinker. Does anyone have a more accurate stance for AJ? Which number is Garcia's motion so I could change it. I was wondering why they don't have his hesitation motion down.
  13. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:11 AM) Oh the irony, the irony peoples!!!!! The Bulls are actually willing to pay over the luxury tax as long as they're winning. They're 11 million under the cap after this season. They could resign all their players and be right at the limit considering that Curry and Chandler will be BYC and only half their contracts will count towards the cap. So we could sign Othella and Duhon to longer deals. Same with 2006. We could resign the core guys, let go of Antonio and we'll have Eddie Robinson's contract off the books. That means we'll be able to resign Hinrich, Gordon and Deng and still have money for a star player.
  14. 1 is hilarious because it's more than likely true. Damnit Illini, I wish you were the one to get it done.
  15. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) Idonno the Royals pitching staff isnt as bad as you make it out to be.. Hernandez and Greinkie are both good pitchers, Anderson and Lima are both avg. pitchers would be our number 5's but they can pitch a good one here or there... dont know their last pitcher. Bautista is their last pitcher. He's the cousin of Pedro and Ramon Martinez. He had a really good outing last week in his first game giving up only 1 run in 8 Innings. Wood is also starting I think. I don't know if both Anderson and Lima are in the starting rotation.
  16. I think it's dumb too, but thank god it happened this series because Pods will get a day of rest.
  17. QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) Not with their AAA-quality pitching. Well I think Wood and Bautista are quality pitchers.
  18. Horrible thread. Very horrible.
  19. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Bottom 3rd: Minnesota - L. Rivas singled to right - S. Stewart flied out to center, L. Rivas to second - J. Castro singled to right, L. Rivas to third - J. Mauer struck out swinging - M. LeCroy singled to left, L. Rivas scored, J. Castro to second - T. Hunter homered to deep left, M. LeCroy and J. Castro scored - L. Ford flied out to deep right I'll assume you are talking the single to LF. That was a Crede muff? Should he have been able to field it & thrown one of the runners out? The LeCroy single to left yes. Crede stumbled a bit and tried to knock down the ball so it stayed in the infield without knowing that Uribe was behind him.
  20. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Still would've been 3-2, in the end. Not exactly the difference maker. True, Also, arguing isn't going to turn this win into a loss. Let's just worry about the next game.
  21. QUOTE(Reddy @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) FIELDS NEEDS TO BE UP NOW! YOUR CRACKPIPE NEEDS TO BE DOWN NOW!
  22. Yeah, we have to win the next series. I hope we sweep the next series though against the Indians. Last series should've been a sweep.
  23. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) If ozuna was the one who tripped and did his best to keep the ball on the infield you wouldn't have said s***, you have a vendetta against joe, period. He messed up tonight, alright it happens, move on. The sox are 4 and 2 and in sole possesion of first place. I swear some of you expected the sox to go 161 and 1. He's mad because he's not allowed in Crede's Crew.
  24. I hate Torii Hunter!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Are big trade in July is going to be for a 3 bagger, mark my words. Marks them. I guess it'll be my turn to bump this thread when the time comes.
